DANISH Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 it is now looking as though there may not be a club left by the end of this week hoddle - who cares? I agree
JoeShmoe Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I remember speaking to Matt Oakley a few years back who told me that Hoddle was by far and away the best manager he worked for in terms of actual coaching and training. He got the best out of players like Oakley, Beatty, Richards etc by working with him on the training pitch Plus look what he did at Swindon - proven track record Im sure MLT isn't dumb enough to put any past personal differences before the best interests of the club, esp. if hes the chairman. If its a choice between Hoddle or Dowie/O'Leary etc then Hoddle wins each time Not that it will happen
EFM Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I have been told by an employee of SFC that the Pinnacle takeover will happen today. Furthermore Hoddle is the front runner to be manager. Source has been reliable in the past...... but not always 100% right There was more info from MLT on Sky yesterday and here is the link: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_5405966,00.html I agree with MLT that I'd rather take the 10 point deduction and ensure the stability of the club at the moment before it's too late. However I would have thought that Glenda would probably be the very last person on his list of wanted managers so I'm afraid I would dismiss that rumour as BS. Not that it matters a jot as its all irrelevant anyway as he won't be manager here.

Dont care as long as they have £100m to spend over the three/four year s to take us to Champions League football in 2013!! Well from my employee source at Sky, he expects MLT to sign a new contract by the end of the week.
VectisSaint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Strachan but he wanted a year out from football, Would that be so that he can get his hip done? Strachan will get back into football as soon as he gets a decent offer.
SaintRobbie Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 (edited) MLT is taking over. Chill out people. Enjoy the week! What's more if MLT wants Hoddle he'd be a great swoop for League 1. Edited 30 June, 2009 by SaintRobbie
VectisSaint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Hoddle did well at Swindon because he was player/manager regardless of what he did afterwards he was a superb player. Not that it matters a jot as its all irrelevant anyway as he won't be manager here. Hoddle also never managed Swindon in Division 3. he rescued them when they were in Division 2. In addition Hoddle is crap unless he has Gorman as assistant, as proven at Wolves. So even if I believe that Hoddle is MLT's choice I hope to goodness that if it is that Gorman will be back as well (unless of course Hoddle could bring Snodin back instead, possibly the best assistant manager in the game, even made Burley look good for a while)
Fan The Flames Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 He didnt do to bad bringing Swindon through the division as my memory serves me, Dont label me a Lowe luver but if he had stuck to his guns and not listened to back page campaigns and fan forums and re-appointted Hoddle theres a good chance we wouldnt have ended up were we are now. I thought this old chestnut had been put to bed a while back i.e. rest of the board, Wolves etc.
Bakovnetski Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Has anyone seen the Swiss family Robinson today? Aren't you the one who saw the Range Rover with the Swiss plates though Dog? You should be close enough to tell us. Or was that just BS before?
