Give it to Ron Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 (edited) No response to phone calls from Pinnacle No news from either the other 2 .... Edited ....but in detailed talks.....like last week! It looks really bad at the moment. Edited 29 June, 2009 by Give it to Ron
lee_saint Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 It could be the time when Pinnacle are finishing things off, they might just not want to speak to the news at the moment.
Thedelldays Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 It could be the time when Pinnacle are finishing things off, they might just not want to speak to the news at the moment. that is all we have to cling on to at the mo
Mole Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 It could be the time when Pinnacle are finishing things off, they might just not want to speak to the news at the moment. As the Irish would say, it's either a good sign or a bad sign.
saint77 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 No response to phone calls from Pinnacle No news from either the other 2 .... It looks really bad at the moment. get your facts right if your going to post it didnt say no news on other 2 it actually stated that fry was in detailed talks with other 2 and not pinnacle
saintwarwick Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 No response to phone calls from Pinnacle No news from either the other 2 .... It looks really bad at the moment. Why, maybe they are crossing the T's and doting the I's and can't be bothered with the media until the time is right.
Give it to Ron Posted 29 June, 2009 Author Posted 29 June, 2009 get your facts right if your going to post it didnt say no news on other 2 it actually stated that fry was in detailed talks with other 2 and not pinnacle Ok don't throw your toys out of your pram.... Fry has been in detailed talks for over a week....no news as in completion.
Psycrow Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 As the Irish would say, it's either a good sign or a bad sign. In all my years living here since my birth, I've never heard any Irish person saying that
eelpie Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 As the Irish would say, it's either a good sign or a bad sign. I wish it was as clear as that.
merrimd Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i wonder what the lynam luvvies think of this Oh great, a new begining (no matter who takes over) and we are still at it with the damn labels!
Mole Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 In all my years living here since my birth, I've never heard any Irish person saying that It's an old Londonderry saying.
eelpie Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i wonder what the lynam luvvies think of this And so who is your luvvie?
Evo Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Nothing much one can say is there? Er, no. I therefore confidently predict this will become a 400 page thread by the end of tomorrow.
waggy Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 ..pretty unbelieveable really, one minute people on here are slagging of TL and his crew for bothering to keep us updated on a 'non-representational internet forum' saying that it is unprofessional yet when it all goes quiet the end of the world is nigh. make yer feckin minds up!
buctootim Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 ..pretty unbelieveable really, one minute people on here are slagging of TL and his crew for bothering to keep us updated on a 'non-representational internet forum' saying that it is unprofessional yet when it all goes quiet the end of the world is nigh. make yer feckin minds up! Cant have it both ways? That not what we're used to on this forum.

RinNY Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i wonder what the lynam luvvies think of this J H C!!! Are we really going to have this BS of who is/is not a "so-and-so luvvie" around here again? I think I need to barf! For that reason alone, I may need to hope the Pinnacle deal does not go through, and we have instead a Swiss consortium full of men with enormously long and utterly unpronouncable names such that no-one will be tempted to dismiss those who try to give them a fair chance to save the club as "Schnerzelwerdergrueber luvvies" ... saint-stevo: can you really think of nothing better to say than that??? Please at least make an attempt not to be moronic!
Dark Munster Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Why, maybe they are crossing the T's and doting the I's and can't be bothered with the media until the time is right. Weren't they "just crossing the T's and dotting the I's" three weeks ago? Presumably there are an incredible number of T's and I's.
St Lightjaw Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 As the Irish would say, it's either a good sign or a bad sign. A wise man also said "Stay out of the black and into the red, nothing in this game for two in a bed" Very deep imho ... think about it
Barry the Badger Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i wonder what the lynam luvvies think of this You can't be serious.
shurlock Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 ..pretty unbelieveable really, one minute people on here are slagging of TL and his crew for bothering to keep us updated on a 'non-representational internet forum' saying that it is unprofessional yet when it all goes quiet the end of the world is nigh. make yer feckin minds up! Updates to Solent and South Today are one thing (and theyre more reputable than SSN); breathless, chummy messages to the forum are another.
saint77 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 No response to phone calls from Pinnacle No news from either the other 2 .... Edited ....but in detailed talks.....like last week! It looks really bad at the moment. fair play
explorer saint Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 No response to phone calls from Pinnacle No news from either the other 2 .... Edited ....but in detailed talks.....like last week! It looks really bad at the moment. South Today not responding to calls from Pinnacle, must be that Sally Taylor being a Reading fan and all that
St Marco Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Interesting wording by that guy. He said basically that Fry was now seeing the two other bids as "the more serious bids". Surely he would of have had to have spoken to fry to get to that belief? Plus a 4th group interested?! Let's just hope something is sorted out tomorrow and we can finally get back to looking at football news rather then politics.
Block 5 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i wonder what the lynam luvvies think of this Are you Rupert Lowe? Or are you a skate troll? Because you seem more determined than anyone to split the fan base.
saint_stevo Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 oh yes my determination to 'split the fan base' holds no bars I am not a skate, i am not Rupes, i am a fan concerned we may/have been taken for a ride
Mole Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 oh yes my determination to 'split the fan base' holds no bars I am not a skate, i am not Rupes, i am a fan concerned we may/have been taken for a ride You're Pike out of dads army.
saint_stevo Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 You're Pike out of dads army. Good one
Webby Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 South Today, just now, said Pinnacle embroiled in legal wrangle with the FL. Fry focussing on 2 other bids. Pinnacle deal looks dead now doesn't it? (me, not south today)
santo_michele Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 South Today, just now, said Pinnacle embroiled in legal wrangle with the FL. Fry focussing on 2 other bids. Pinnacle deal looks dead now doesn't it? (me, not south today) It seems hard to believe that such a story would have developed since the end of the day and the 18.30 bulletin, where they didn't mention this - I would like to think this is speculation. While we're at it, everything up until now has been speculation, on this forum, in the Echo, on South Today - why doesn't everyone just have a little patience (like MLT has asked for) and just wait and see?
saint_stevo Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Patience? is 4 weeks not long enough? We were all patient during the exclusivity, and even the few days after, but this is taking the p1ss
santo_michele Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Patience? is 4 weeks not long enough? We were all patient during the exclusivity, and even the few days after, but this is taking the p1ss Fair point, but by speculating we're not any closer to reaching an outcome - it is more likely in fact that misinformed speculation could jeopardise any forthcoming agreement... so we've just got to sit tight with fingers crossed a little bit longer...
saint_stevo Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Fair point, but by speculating we're not any closer to reaching an outcome - it is more likely in fact that misinformed speculation could jeopardise any forthcoming agreement... so we've just got to sit tight with fingers crossed a little bit longer... i have said it a million times, if anything said on here jeopardises any possible takeover then that bid/consortium was not the right one for SFC anyway.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 if the deal with pinnacle doesnt happen tomorrow,i think we should move on to the next bidder, time isnt on our side now for a new manager, getting the team sorted and for us as fans to get season tickets etc.coyr,
Block 5 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 Fair point, but by speculating we're not any closer to reaching an outcome - it is more likely in fact that misinformed speculation could jeopardise any forthcoming agreement... so we've just got to sit tight with fingers crossed a little bit longer... This is Saint Rupo's agenda.
santo_michele Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 i have said it a million times, if anything said on here jeopardises any possible takeover then that bid/consortium was not the right one for SFC anyway. I don't think anything posted on here would have an effect, I had the likes of South Today and the Echo in mind... (even if sometimes "stories" in the Echo are reproduced verbatim from this forum). However, I hear what you say, but my point stands that no amount of discussion here will change the outcome, so It's a case of hurry up and wait... Think of it like the queue for a Pie at Half Time - you know you'll get there, but it's a lottery as to what will be in your pie. You never know, we could end up with Chicken Tikka...
AwaySaint1 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 why doesn't everyone just have a little patience (like MLT has asked for) and just wait and see? Sorry I was forgetting about the local business acumen of MLT.
Block 5 Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 I don't think anything posted on here would have an effect I'm sure FF would be reassured by your thoughts. He is currently peeping out from behind his curtains at the white van that has been parked outside his house all day.
santo_michele Posted 29 June, 2009 Posted 29 June, 2009 I'm sure FF would be reassured by your thoughts. He is currently peeping out from behind his curtains at the white van that has been parked outside his house all day. Does Ian Murray drive a white van then?
