gaz Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 walking out of the club shop at SMS, beige sweater over his shoulders, looking very suave. Had a load of merchandise bags too, dont know why he'd be shopping there lol. Asked him what the chances of the deal being done on Monday and got a shrug with the comment 'i hope so'. Sorry for the non-news lol, but it was my first time to SMS. Slightly surprising to see contractors working on the site and window cleaners, considering the lack of pennies around.
ottery st mary Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 He was purchasing the team strip for the first friendly coming up.....If they sack him now he can take the strip and the ball.....We will be truly cattle trucked then...
Mole Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Although i don't want Wotte as manager you've got give him credit for the way he's conducted himself this summer.

If you were selling a house you'd make sure that it looked clean and tidy, wouldn't you?
Paul Chuckle Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Although i don't want Wotte as manager you've got give him credit for the way he's conducted himself this summer. He has been nothing but proffesional during this. If he'd stay on as Acadamy boss if MLT wanted him i'd be happy with that
Mole Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 He has been nothing but proffesional during this. If he'd stay on as Acadamy boss if MLT wanted him i'd be happy with that He undermined JP if rumours are to be believed so i'd get rid and have a clean sweep.

nickfinks Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Although i don't want Wotte as manager you've got give him credit for the way he's conducted himself this summer. indeed, a complete proffesional, nice bloke, no great bloke, but sadly not the special one

david in sweden Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 Although i don't want Wotte as manager you've got give him credit for the way he's conducted himself this summer. All things considered, I think he should apply for a job as a diplomat. It's been a terrible time for everyone concerned but MW has conducted himself with dignity and loyalty - especially as he's likely to get the boot next week. Thank you Mark Wotte, that part of your job was first class.
eelpie Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 Although i don't want Wotte as manager you've got give him credit for the way he's conducted himself this summer. I have to agree. He has been the only link between all the players and a club that doesn't exist.
SFC Forever Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 To be fair to the man, he probably saw how poor Jan was very early. After taking over he had no cash to spend though he did bring Saeijs in to help.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 I have a lot of respect for Wotte. Although I do think we should have a clean sweep and a fresh start with a new manager, it can't be denied that the way Wotte has handled things during this crisis has been top draw. Fair play to him.
krissyboy31 Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 He undermined JP if rumours are to be believed so i'd get rid and have a clean sweep. TBH JP was so useless, anyone worth their salt would have had to speak up.
Fan The Flames Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 I don't buy this 'Wotte is great because he has acted with dignity', would anyone have acted in another manner. He was still getting paid so he still had a job to do.
SaintRobbie Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 I don't buy this 'Wotte is great because he has acted with dignity', would anyone have acted in another manner. He was still getting paid so he still had a job to do. I agree. Wotte relegated us to our lowest league position for 49 years. That is a fact. As far as I am concerned I hope he enjoys the souvineers he bought today as far away from this club as possible.

SaintRobbie Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 So Poortvliet had nothing to do with it, or the decision from on high to stick with the yoof ? Dont lets go there again. But... Wotte was the man 2 years ago who introduced the sweety mice of youth into Lowe's mind before GB took the job, he then presided along with Lowe in pushing a youth policy onto JP (who was crap I grant you) and subsequently took over the team - played men - but then failed to lead us out of the relegation zone. Wotte is second only to Lowe in putting Saints into their lowest position for 49 years.
kpturner Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 But... Wotte was the man 2 years ago who introduced the sweety mice of youth into Lowe's mind before GB took the job.Fact or speculation?
SaintRobbie Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 Fact or speculation? More than coincidence. I seem to recall the great calls for youth right at that time. SCW deployed to find a coach willing to take on Lowe's plan. Wotte was Lowe's first choice until GB destroyed the plan with a powerful interview before the board and got the job. List goes on. I think its pretty safe to assume for so so so many reasons that Wotte was well in the mind of his good friend Lowe a long time ago.
