I am sorry DD I started looking through the threads , got through about 3 pages and gave up!

It is far easier and less boring to say I was wrong. I hope you can accept my sincere apology?

Hey I could even start my own thread, well it seemed to work for GM!

you dont need to patronise yourself and even compare the two acts (well one act actually) on the same level...

lol

To be honest, I'm not patronising myself. I have done far worse, and I am sorry for what I did. However, intent is part of the act and you are guilty of intent, as you agreed. So where does that leave us? Certainly not really in a position to judge, from the OP, some lads on a day out in celebration of a mate who has passed on. Strangely, at this stage, I have to say I noticed (from other's comments) that the lads had managed to be both outside a town centre pub and on the beach at the same time!

Could you honestly say that you have not, at some stage, had a good old rowdy sing song when in your beer? Do I correctly recall something about you lamping someone in a MacDonalds down in Plymouth? I apologise if I'm wrong on this count, memory doesn't always serve well but I do recall you telling some story? What you, and I, and many others have done over the years is wrong so we don't have the moral high ground in this instance.

Well done lads for actually organising and having so many turn out for a tribute to a Saints fan. Hopefully he was looking down and having a laugh with you.

Weymouth needs building up with Red and White!

Let's hope we get a takeover soon and the red and white will become a flood across the region.

regardless of what I or anyone have or have not done in the past does not make this (the original point) OK...

40 lads on the pop is bad enough...40 lads on the pop wearing football tops, on a seaside resort in the summer, singing about kicking someones head in........ummmm.?

I'm not saying that it's OK, just that many of us here are judging those lads when all it was was a little high spirits. OK, the song is a bit lame admitted but from what we are being told there were no arrests in Weymouth. So I can't understand why so many fellow fans are getting all Godly about some lads on the beer.

Maybe we just see each other's point, don't quite understand it and leave it at that?

It was my daughter's birthday yesterday otherwise I may well have been there! Maybe not singing the song but certainly enjoying a beer, a chat and a few jokes. In the sun with guys I haven't seen for a year or two!

**EDIT** According to Red Robbo, who I trust, the lads were not wearing footy tops.

Dull days is struggling to understand the point isn't he....he's a bit hard of thinking and everyone at his wake (if anyone turned up) would be wearing red and white jester hats FFS!! None of the people at Weymouth would ever wear a football shirt.

i get the point quite clearly..

you are not getting mine...that in a sea side resort, wake or no wake, football shirt or no football shirt...40 blokes singing about kicking someones head in in not really on IMO..

that does not mean I am perfect far from it..

there, clear.

I don't know how to break this to you, but I don't think any of their grandad's actually bought them a Pompey fan on a string, nor did they really tell them to kick their head in (it's all make believe!!!!)

This was'nt the only song they were singing. . . It quite clearly says they were singing saints songs all day. I'm sure not everyone will be paticualrly bothered about a football song and a few lads having a laugh, after all they were there to have fun and remember a lad who passed away, not going around kicking peoples heads in. C*nt.

I think a lot of people are forgetting the most important thing here.A young man has died and a Saints fan as well.

I didnt have the pleasure of knowing him,but r.i.p mate.

Also i hope all those who were at Weymouth did his memory proud. If i had been there,i wouldve joined you all(and i wouldve worn my Saints shirt).

the best one i had in the chapel a few yaers back was a toff looking chap reading his paper and tutting when we jumped up after a goal cause we interupted his reading

Of course. This definitely happened.

I am more worried about someone going to get their father's gun and then shooting someone from Pompey. At the end of the day, murder is far worse than a bit of GBH IMO.

you could say that about any song......hmmm, I wonder if certain songs are banned at Ibrox? I doubt very much that many rangers fans would find themselves up to their knees in.................

But what about the poor local people and holiday makers in Weymouth that had to cover their childrens ears and eyes?

Oh for f*ck sake, the locals are far, far worse believe you me. Hearing a few F-words now and then is nothing compared to the kind of stuff that gets shouted on a regular basis in this "family friendly" town.

You go to any seaside resort in the country and walk around the back end of town near the busiest pubs/clubs and you will hear AND see a lot worse than the little knees up that went on down here.

Did you actually see anyone upset by any songs sung yesterday?Did you have to apologise to anyone yesterday for what they may have seen/heard?No?Nor me, me so shut the feck up!

im giving an opinion, the very reason what this place is for. IMO I dont think being in a huge group, drunk on a sea side resort singing about kicking someones head in...in the summer is socially acceptable.

you are right, i was not there..just giving an opinion on what is written

does that effect of you in any way..? no

are you getting worked up..? Yes

does that mean I am whiter that white..? hell no.

just giving an opinion mate..ffs

Delldays, a seaside resort is MADE to be visited in the summer. Every single night in Weymouth has scenes pretty much exactly the same, and there are people drinking all day long.

but put a post on a message board ffs then people (clue - not just me) will more than likely, spookily enough will say something about it..more often than not be wrong/noy have all the facts..

maybe if this causes you a degree of distress then it would have been better NOT responding at all and not mention the day..

up to you though:confused:

Lads have gone to Weymouth for a wake in memory of their mate. They have drunk beer, sung saints songs and remembered the guy and celebrated his life.

When i die i would love the thought of my mates doing exactly the same.

If they could burn an entire squad of POMPEY shirts it would be great.

We have got some gimps on here!

Due to work I couldnt go this year, but hope the lads that went all a good time.

32 of the same set of lads went to Ibiza on a stag do / jolly up last month, had a big Southampton flag and sung a couple of Saints songs in a few of the bars. I guess thats all terrible behaviour aswell?

I must say may that I'm truly shocked by the tone of some of the posters on this thread, just as you are alluding to here.

To be honest, I think it proves the point that you, I and others have tried to make. I've no intention of repeating it as it clearly falls on deaf and rather aggressive ears, but it's good to see there are some fans out there on a sensible wavelength.;)

LMFAO. So now we're comparing sectarian songs with some anti Pompey songs.

Yee hah, the sanctimonious possee have just rolled up:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Feel free to report me and thousands of others to the local nick for incitement to murder after singing "Go get your father's gun".

And since you failed to answer it first time around, just what were the actions that you personally witnessed yesterday that got you so wound up????

Yes it is. From now on, that type of carry on is to be frowned upon, anywhere at anytime, especially inside football grounds on Saturday afternoons. You have been told!

Normally it would help if you had a semblence of an idea/experience of the subject at hand before you go in with both feet (i.e. slightly more knowledge than two sentences from a passive obserer).

I'm afraid you've somewhat shown yourself up on this thread, diving in without any knowledge of what went on and struggling hard to justify your initial noddy retort.

They were singing about kicking a puppet's head in:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Not all songs associated with football should be taken literally, e.g.:

We are not the greatest team the world has ever seen (we're about 50th in this country alone),

We won't get our father's gun (because I doubt he has one)

I very much doubt that we only drink whiskey or Brown/Rum (I'm betting lager would be drunk by many instead)

We won't shoot the Pompey scum (as that would be murder)

I very much doubt that Brett has got within 2 miles of Posh, let alone fcked her.

etc etc etc

But you made a point of highlighting this major issue that probably took up 4 minutes of a 7 hour session, that no one from Weymouth was bothered about, just you and a couple of other ****s on here!Sorry if we ruined your weekend!
