Saint_clark Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Loads of Saints fans at the harbour side today, between 30-40 of them. All with pints in there hands and all singing "Southampton till I die" and "pompey fan on a string" when they were seen. Were any of you disturbing the peace?

Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 It was the boys annual day out. The Park Pruett Massive?
rocknrollman no2 Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Good for them. Last weekend a load of us had a SFC themed BBQ where you had to wear something Saints related and sing lots of Southampton fc songs after downing a shedload of beer. Cant really remember much about it,but in these dark and depressing times,it certainly cheered us all up.

rocknrollman no2 Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Sounds good but let's hope that next year you don't do it just for reasons of nostalgia !!!! Funny you should say that eurosaint, because that was suggested at our BBQ.Although after todays announcement,im feeling a tad more positive,i will only celebrate when the deal has actually been done. Heres hoping.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 The Park Pruett Massive? I know a few of them and I think, over the years, that some may have demonstrated an ability to qualify for a residency there. If you get my drift?
hackedoff Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Perhaps they were down there having at look at one of the grounds we could be playing at soon.
Grim Reaper Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 scouting Weymouth for our next possible signings !
SFC Forever Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I am waiting for the opening game of the season against Millwall for the biggest party/knees up we have had for years. Everything else will just have to wait that day.

rocknrollman no2 Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 agreed what a bunch of saddos probably from shirley warren Why are they saddos? They were having a laugh and Saints fans as well. Hope they all had a good time.
speculator Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 agreed what a bunch of saddos probably from shirley warren Bodes well for the Olympics showcasing British culture at it's best. Grown men in football shirts at the height of summer getting p155ed in loutish packs at a popular family seaside resort. Nice - hardly the cosmopolitan cafe culture we allegedly aspire to when on our holidays.
Michelle Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 From what I can gather it was a bit of a memorial ****-up for a Saint who recently died, so I wouldn't be so hasty in having a pop.
Rattlehead Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 (edited) From what I can gather it was a bit of a memorial ****-up for a Saint who recently died, so I wouldn't be so hasty in having a pop. Anyone who sings that awful "Pompey Fan On A String" song is gyppo scum and an embarrassment to the club and, most notably, themselves. Furthermore, this can be extended to those who wear football shirts as casual wear. Whatever went on down in Weymouth, no matter what the reason, it is bound to be embarrassing. Maybe they should show a bit more respect. I wouldn't be so hasty in defending these pikeys, although I know you are old so it is not unexpected. Edited 28 June, 2009 by Rattlehead

These guys are having a good time in memory of a mate and that makes them scum? And people who wear football shirts as 'casual wear' are scum now are they? I just thought they were genuine football supporters who wanted to show an allegiance to their particular club, or maybe even just wear a football top like they would any other top? Furthermore I think you'll find the term 'gyppo' is not only racist but also extremely disrespectful of another culture, so maybe you should take a look at yourself before you start looking down your nose at others?
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 agreed what a bunch of saddos probably from shirley warren you from millbrook?

Who the he'll do you think you are? Show some respect will you, some of us are extremely proud to be saints fans, even in this day and age, I expect you don't ever wear the replica shirts because it doesn't go with tweed, do you sit in the chapel? Or is it far too common to mix with football fans?

gawbeen Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 Unfortunatly this snobbery is nothing new at St.Marys. Unless you get a seat in the Northam you constantly get snide remarks, "sit down" "do you mind not yelling in my ear" "that language is not necessary" and the best one i had in the chapel a few yaers back was a toff looking chap reading his paper and tutting when we jumped up after a goal cause we interupted his reading. This was once a working mans sport where you go to have a knees up and a good time with your mates. Your opinions are shocking to hear, a bunch of lads having a memorial **** up and getting slightly loud , and to make it even worse they were wearing those horrible football shirts , how embarrasing. have a ****ing word with yourself and finish off that prawn sandwich

Maybe you should stop gobbing off from behind your PC you brave boy. A load of Saints lads went down to Weymouth... ( as has been done the last few years ) and had a few beers. This year dedicated to a massive Saints fan who was killed in a crash. Can you tell me why it is embarrassing? Maybe you will tell people to their face rather than gobbing off from the safety of your PC... spineless c*nt.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 What an embarrassment. So fook off and masturbate over your keyboard.
Burger Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 I can't believe the lack of tolerance and lack of understanding of other peoples views and opinions on here. I would have loved to have been out with this group, plenty of beer, songs, pride in the club, giving it large.........but can also understand that others don't feel that way. It does not make them any less of a supporter.

I detest that song too, but I'm not gonna start being derogatory and abusive to a group of people singing it, even more so when they're out to celebrate the life of a lost friend. Bearing in mind you don't actually know me either, I'd suggest you quit with the assumptions. Though I would be intrigued to know your definition of "old", seeing as I apparently fall into that category.
red robbo Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 god there are some sad tw*ts on here,no one was in a saints shirt,we were probably the best dressed lot in weymouth,(chavs????) over 100 of us were well behaved until some gobby scouser kicked it off,as stated it was a tribute to a good friend who was tragically taken from us,we raised £100 from the sale of the badges and we are in the process of organising a benefit gig to raise some money for the family left behind.chavs i dont think so... idiot

saint1977 Posted 28 June, 2009 Posted 28 June, 2009 Just ignore Rattlehead, he regularly posts tripe in the Muppet show (quite appropriate really). He has quite an appropriate name as there isn't much to rattle around in his head really. My third one to put on ignore alongside Sundance and Le Tissier's Feet.
