redkeith Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 I'm not worried about MLT and Falkia not having experience of running a big company. Wilde, Lowe, Hume et al had a great deal of experience in running companies. Unfortunatley for Saints, they managed to run us into the ground. How about judging them on what they acheive, rather than indulge in the toy throwing, foot stamping and nihilism that has been filling this board for the past two weeks ( ..... wait ten seconds for the deluge of outraged posts headed in my direction )
Gingeletiss Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 I wouldn't blame him if he avoids posting here after all the abuse he has got on here. slickmick Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 does this mean KK will be our new manager - next FRIDAY? Would have been Strachan had the 10 points been lifted. I am officially ITK on that one. Shearer was the next choice but he is still uncertain about his Newcastle role. Dowie also in the frame.

Running Man Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Wise words Running Man. We've both seen how posting on here is a poisoned chalice for club officials. I advised TL to have a few days away from here about a week ago and it'd be wise if he closed his account and in future just used the OS (all going well!). On the issue of the Echo Lowe was at war with them for a while and it's in no-ones interest for wounds to be re-opened. If pinnacle do the deal the Echo will soon change their tune if they are given a few exclusivs - the grubby little rag is short of sales so they won't look a gift horse in the face! Be smart Tony and Michael, you can have our grubby little rag eating out the palm of your hand if you play your cards right. Agreed - and if Tony wonders why some of us were ready to crucify his backers if the bid wasn't genuine, it's because down here we care about our club and we've had a sad history of ****** characters around our club over recent years including: Lowe Wilde Agent Orange and Hoos not Paul Allen Dan Williams Barry the briefcase Beardsall to name but a few. If we didn't care about our club there wouldn't have been so much of a fuss but then again neither would there have been the potential for good crowds at SMS. Others have taken some really disgusting abuse. I dont care if they are perceived as being fantascists or not until it is proved to be certainly the case is it fair to do so.If TL doesnt go through with his bid he will be a fantascist if he gets it done he is a hero. How hypocritical is that? People should take a good look at themselves on their conduct. I myself do not feel good about it as well.I thankfully held back from real abuse even thogu my faith was tested. It still is not over and lets not jump the gun until it is sorted. The Swiss may get in first of course.I dont care of any of the groups who actually wins as I just want the clubs safety first. I know we have all been worrying and doubting things in the past week as this has dragged on much longer than expected but that is no excuse for some of the scandalous suggestions and accusationsmade on here. CB Fry Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 As much as i'd love that grotty little rag brought to account, my advice to Pinnacle would be to let it go and just concentrate on SFC. You've changed your tune. Pinnacle's sh*t-hot legal team have decided on a course and you're saying they shouldn't bother? Pinnacle are paying lawyers and taking their professional advice. Who are they to listen to? a) The Lawyers, or b) Some gob****e on a forum And what's your view on the fact that Pinnacle and co now look like doing precisely what I said they should do, just more than a week later than I said it. But what do I know, eh? If they'd listened to this gob****e we'd have been under new ownership for a full week by now and all the staff would have been paid. But hey, I'm just a gob****e. Victor Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Who !? Maybe on some other channel, ITV perhaps ?? Unfortunately, Fred Dinenenenage is alive and well and appearing all too frequently with a smug and slightly vacant expression beneath a rim of freshly dyed hair on Meridian in its eastern outposts. saintwarwick Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 I'm pretty convinced that the League wanted to impose a further points penalty on us, and as widely speculated, we have accepted a compromise (10 points deduction and no appeal). chrisobee Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 We seem to have lots of people ITK so that the very few who do once in a while have something concrete tend not to be taken seriously. I'm not sure why anyone would claim to know something unless they were 100% sure of the facts but then again I'm not sure why so many people go digging for "information" , find what they think is something of note and then put 2 and 2 together and invariably come up with a load of old codswallop. I was amazed that Tony Lynam posted he replied to so many emails/texts etc; If it were me I would have just said please leave me alone or something along those lines!! Ken Tone Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Great news yes, but, saying they've accepted the deduction, what does that really mean? Is it really saying they won't appeal? And does it mean they have assurances that there'll be no more penalties? Perhaps a compromise was reached with the FL? There never was any danger of a greater deduction; it was always just about the -10 and waiving the right to appeal. I'll be delighted if the deal does go through monday or tuesday, but I'm past blindly believing mr lynam's promises now I'm afraid. K.
