fromthedell Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 are reporting that pinnacle will accept the 10 point deduction there sports reporter spoke 2 mlt and he said deal will go through monday or tuesday at the latest good news ?
SaintBobby Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 are reporting that pinnacle will accept the 10 point deduction there sports reporter spoke 2 mlt and he said deal will go through monday or tuesday at the latest good news ? Fantastic. Consider all my scpeticism to be rescinded. Until the next twists and turn.....
Paul Chuckle Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 are reporting that pinnacle will accept the 10 point deduction there sports reporter spoke 2 mlt and he said deal will go through monday or tuesday at the latest good news ? If happens I will be happy. MLT back on board and someone within Pinnacle group must have some money to make it happen. At the end of the day as long as our club Is saved I will be happy
randyapollo Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 about ruddy time.................it was getting ridiculous
Channon's Windmill Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I watched it too. Said the deal would be complete by Tuesday at the latest. Also, Falkia's lawyers are dealing with some un-pleasant reporting from the Echo about him not having any money etc. We've heard this a lot in the past 2 weeks, but once again, Le Tissier urged us to be patient and trust him. Roll on Tuesday!
Channon's Windmill Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 By the way, it was the Echo they mentioned as the people causing "Outside interference".
Marley Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 are reporting that pinnacle will accept the 10 point deduction there sports reporter spoke 2 mlt and he said deal will go through monday or tuesday at the latest good news ? I'll believe it when I see it!
Webby Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Great news yes, but, saying they've accepted the deduction, what does that really mean? Is it really saying they won't appeal? And does it mean they have assurances that there'll be no more penalties? Perhaps a compromise was reached with the FL?
sotonist Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 there sports reporter spoke 2 mlt and he said deal will go through monday or tuesday at the latest so friday then.
saint77 Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 By the way' date=' it was the Echo they mentioned as the people causing "Outside interference".[/quote'] well the sports editor is a skate what do you expect perhaps the echo should be boycotted until the skate is sacked
Delmary Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 about ruddy time.................it was getting ridiculousHold your horses. The deal's not complete yet. Also if I remember correctly TL stated that once the -10 points issue was out the way then the Pinnacle group could immediately sign the deal. Why the delay? Surely they can complete the deal this weekend? I really do hope they prove all the sceptics wrong, including me because what's most important is the survival of SFC.
saint lard Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Great news yes, but, saying they've accepted the deduction, what does that really mean? Is it really saying they won't appeal? And does it mean they have assurances that there'll be no more penalties? Perhaps a compromise was reached with the FL? Well, that depends on your stance reference the credibility of Pinnacle, and that they are the best possible deal in both the short term and long term. I am yet to be convinced, but atleast we may still have a club.
Weston Super Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Hold your horses. The deal's not complete yet. Surely they can complete the deal this weekend? I really do hope they prove all the sceptics wrong, including me because what's most important is the survival of SFC. I thought the same, then remembered the one crucial fact that the banks are all shut until Monday
Master Bates Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I thought the same, then remembered the one crucial fact that the banks are all shut until Monday +1.
OttawaSaint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I thought the same, then remembered the one crucial fact that the banks are all shut until Monday Can we just get Dyer and BWP to break in?
Delmary Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I thought the same, then remembered the one crucial fact that the banks are all shut until Monday True. Therefore you would expect them to say that the deal will be completed first thing Monday.
Weston Super Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 True. Therefore you would expect them to say that the deal will be completed first thing Monday. I imagine they'd love to, but you have to factor in bank clerks, money transfers, checking the funds have arrived etc etc. Probably quicker to let BWP and Dyer do it after all
westofshannonsaint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Great news IF true and it is all sorted by Tuesday, thanks to the Swiss for putting the extra push on pinnacle & I only hope that the team fight for every available point on the pitch this season just as pinnacle have so far. this needs to be sorted soon though, 6 weeks is not a long time to rebuild the club.
Mole Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I'm at the end of my tether but i'm prepared to trust MLT. After the past few days i've had enough.
Northam Girls Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Can we just get Dyer and BWP to break in? Glad to see some of us still have a sense of humour - this actually made me laugh - thank you
Delmary Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I imagine they'd love to, but you have to factor in bank clerks, money transfers, checking the funds have arrived etc etc. Probably quicker to let BWP and Dyer do it after all Brilliant:D
Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 news is scrolling along the bottom of SNS now.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 does this mean KK will be our new manager - next FRIDAY?
Mole Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Falkia's lawyers are dealing with some un-pleasant reporting from the Echo about him not having any money etc. As much as i'd love that grotty little rag brought to account, my advice to Pinnacle would be to let it go and just concentrate on SFC.
Delmary Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I'm sure I read somewhere that there was a big meeting in London today to discuss the points appeal?
Rocker268 Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 As much as i'd love that grotty little rag brought to account, my advice to Pinnacle would be to let it go and just concentrate on SFC. Brilliant news hopefully it won't be another false start. I agree they should concentrate on the football but the Echo has become a complete shambles in the last few weeks (even more than it was) and needs something to bring it back into line. so maybe this could be it
Toadhall Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Lets wait and see eh? This is Saints you know! ;-)
The Flying Finn Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 well the sports editor is a skate what do you expect perhaps the echo should be boycotted until the skate is sacked Simon Carter? He's from Exeter
Ponty Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I hope there was some decent lubrication, ie no further points, involved in letting the FL **** them up the arse.
merrimd Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I hope there was some decent lubrication, ie no further points, involved in letting the FL **** them up the arse. To be honest, I am not entirely sure I care right now. I just want to support my team this season.
Gingeletiss Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I hope there was some decent lubrication, ie no further points, involved in letting the FL **** them up the arse. Cue the start of the 'we should of fought the f*ck*rs' posts..........on how Pinnacle should of taken a firmer stance with the FL, and not subjected Saints to a possible -25 points deficit...........
70's Mike Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I will continue with my normal policy where Saints are involved, it has served me well for 48 years of support, expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised
Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Simon Carter? He's from Exeter Simon Carter the compulsive farter! p.s SSN - news on the way regarding Saints takeover.....
chrisobee Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 +1. Obviously, being of superior intelligence I realised IMMEDIATELY
Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I will continue with my normal policy where Saints are involved' date=' it has served me well for 48 years of support, expect the worst and then be [b']pleasantly surprised[/b] when was the last time Saints pleasently surprised you?
70's Mike Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 when was the last time Saints pleasently surprised you? villa park 2003
Ponty Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Cue the start of the 'we should of fought the f*ck*rs' posts..........on how Pinnacle should of taken a firmer stance with the FL, and not subjected Saints to a possible -25 points deficit........... Being fair to me, I've always said they should fight the injustice of removing the right to appeal and would've supported them all the way.
chrisobee Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 To be honest, I am not entirely sure I care right now. I just want to support my team this season. Me neither, I think like just about everyone else I just wanted Pinnacle to seal the deal with a 10 point or even 25 point deduction. Of course it matters but not to the extent we have no team ! I have remained positive throughout and hopefully that will now be rewarded though I will leave the champagne on ice until it is official!
Smirking_Saint Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Being fair to me, I've always said they should fight the injustice of removing the right to appeal and would've supported them all the way. + 1
chrisobee Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 when was the last time Saints pleasently surprised you? Probabably 1980 and Keegan TBH !!
saint_ed Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Great news yes, but, saying they've accepted the deduction, what does that really mean? Is it really saying they won't appeal? And does it mean they have assurances that there'll be no more penalties? Perhaps a compromise was reached with the FL? I'm pretty convinced that the League wanted to impose a further points penalty on us, and as widely speculated, we have accepted a compromise (10 points deduction and no appeal).
rpb Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 After the past few days i've had enough. At least you (or Stanley) have stopped going on about how great it was to be in administration. Hopefully you will be able to gloat next week...
Nutwood2 Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I will continue with my normal policy where Saints are involved' date=' it has served me well for 48 years of support, expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised[/quote'] I was going to say , I'll 'echo' that, Mike, but I won't use that word at the moment. Instead I'll say, after 46 years of support (you've got two on me), I totally agree with you!
Gingeletiss Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Surely that will upset you and your little gang!!!!
JoeShmoe Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 Sorry but until this is done by the people that matter i dont believe a word Tony Lynam says, SSN says or any of the 'ITK' pratts on this forum say (I received a call from someone in the club blah blah love myself more than chocolate blah blah blah - you know who you are) We are a sorry state, with even sorrier fans and a bunch of bigger drama queens you'd be hard pushed to find
St Landrew Posted 27 June, 2009 Posted 27 June, 2009 I'll believe when I see it too. But unlike several others, I won't be second guessing, or putting in my 6 pence worth, based on hearsay and what the Echo or SSN said, and reading incorrectly between the lines. I'll wait. Because realistically that's all I can do. Just as I'm also biting my fingernails over a bid on ebay at this moment.
