Bad Wolf Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 But if they're not from a footballing background surely they'll need to get a football man in to make the main decisions?
sandwichsaint Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Looks like Fry has really fecked over doesn't it? Club stands on the brink and he will walk away with his fat fee, but hopefully his reputation busted. He must have a good idea of the break up value of the club, what's stopping him adding a mill, and selling to the Swiss/ Chinese/ Another consortium tomorrow? That's got to be the creditors' best deal surely? If there are (and there clearly are) gremlins in the background, and presumably further points deductions to come, then we are pretty much nailed on for relegation again. How does that make the club 'worth' 12-14m? FRY ... SELL IT TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER TODAY..... FOR WHATEVER PRICE THEY WILL PAY....AND GET THE FUUUCK OUT OF SOUTHAMPTON WHILE YOU STILL HAVE SOME REPUTATION LEFT!

SaintRichmond Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Fry confirmed to Gary Cotterill (SSN) on 'takeover day' (ROFL) that everything, including funds, were in place ready to go and that the last minute hitch with the FL, which they were hopeful of ironing out later that day, was the only thing holding up the deal. And then suddenly, when the Funds were needed, they are no longer there ...... SOMEONE IS AN F'ING LIAR THEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SaintRichmond Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Unless a major backer has pulled out since? And Pinnacle didn't tell Fry ???? ......... Was the Cashpoint out of use when Fialka went to it ????
Badger Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 And then suddenly, when the Funds were needed, they are no longer there ...... SOMEONE IS AN F'ING LIAR THEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agree with your conclusion but at an earlier stage 'proof of funds ' must have been made.So either the original proposal was lets say "creative",or there has been a significant change of personnel within or behind the Pinnacle bid. benjii Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 One thing you can be sure of with regards to the Swiss, if they are genuine: 1) They will not be posting scraps on here; 2) They will not be blabbing to the local loose-lips; 3) They will employ proper and reputable professional services firm(s) as necessary; 4) If they have a website it won't be updated on the back of criticism of its spelling/grammar on here; 5) They won't give a **** what The Echo decides to write about them. Exactly, I have said all along that someone at the critical stage of multi-million pound business deal, working for someone worth hundreds of millions, wouldn't bother posting messages on internet forums for the benefit of a few hundred fans. SaintBobby Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Matty's a hero and we all love him but... 1. Useless in business 2. No management experience Our next manager should be handed a budget and told to get on with it, with absolutely no interference from anyone. We don't need another executive in charge of football stuff, thats the managers role. Matty is still a legend and the greatest player we ever had. Great race horses don't make good jockeys. I think there is an executive role in "football stuff", although agree that this shouldn't be to second guess the manager. But scouting, training facilities etc. should not be overseen by the manager.
