who were ecstatic when we went into Administration?

Are you still as ecstatic now?

That question can only be answered surely if the Club is eventually saved or not.

Going into administration is not a good move but if the club is saved and fans united then in the long term it maybe.

Time will tell

Going into Administration appeared to let rid of Lowe and Wilde which was widely welcomed

That was their point I believe

lol

only a complete and utter moron (stanley and co) would rather we went into admin to prove a point...

wanting to go into admin is up there in prefering to be in the CCC than the prem..(which so many morons did)

The thing is was administration in the latter end of last season ever avoidable?By the looks of it no,so it seems in the end regardless of who was in charge admin was always on the cards for this failing business.

We can only hope things get better because it would appear there has never been a knight in shining armour waiting to take us over.

Saints should have gone into admin months earlier.

All points deductions would have been applied last season, so there would be more interest in buying a club starting on 0 points and there would have been more time to sort out a takeover, player contracts etc before the money runs out.

Its not admin thats the bad thing, its the fact it was left so late in the season.

Going into Admin was a better option than being liquidated which was the other option. At least it gave us a chance. If ultimately that does not work either we will be no worse off. The bottom line was that the only way this club was going to continue was for Lowe to leave and to go into administration. It should have happened earlier, but it didn't. No-one wanted us to go into admin because it would be fun, but because it was the only option if we were to survive. Its looking increasingly like it is also going to fail, but at least some people tried.

Any different than you and GM seemingly wanting the pinnacle bid to fail?

Stop being a ****, just because they wanted it doesnt mean they caused it you talk about it like it was they who filed for admin.

would you rather have lowe?

Totally. If it was inevitable, someone should have had the fecking gumption to get on with it.

You would have been better off sending a PM, rather than cluttering this board up with a post about 2 or 3 people.;)

Additionally, I don't remember any "Questions for washsaint" threads when your lauded return of Lowe and the Poortvliet went t1ts up and put us where we are now.

And lastly, this was what you were trumpeting out last August when you were championing Lowe and Poortvliet:

Jeez......what's done is done. People can carry on living in the past and holding grudges forever

So Mr Hypocritical, is it only "what's done is done" when it suits you:rolleyes:

Ouch!

I think the problem with administration, as has been mentioned before on this thread, is that we went into it too late. The fact that we come with a crippling 10 point deduction, that effectively rules out promotion straight back to the Championship, puts many serious bidders off...

Yet another reason to thank the previous administration....

this is like trying to investigate a car crash when you are still bouncing off the barriers.

This personal attack poorly-disguised as a pointless thread could wait for seven days.

We are all miffed at what is occuring, let's leave the hangings until the end, then we will know how many gallows we need.

What a really good idea but if everybody agreed with you the Forum would be dead

I have to say, League One on minus 10 beats another season of Lowe's crap easily.

Lets wait and see .

Everytime I think the team is going to win games things go wrong.

By the way I hope you are correct

Stupid and pointless post. Which I shouldn't bump by responding to but you need to know.

LOL, I wouldn't lump everyone in with Alpine!

There are morons and then there is Alpine who is soooooo far out there on his own.

Although I am still wondering why Um Pahars' nephew hasn't headed up a consortium to take over by now! So maybe Steve should be there too?

Of course Administration was never going to be a good thing, but there were those who thought that anything that got rid of Panto villian Lowe was a GOOD thing.

Administration has been a nightmare. We have lost good players, we have nearly lost the club, but hey, Lowe's gone!!! Yay.

When will people learn? It is not about personalities, it is about dealing with what is with what you have.

Alpine would have us believe that Burley's management was a total failure.

Play off place in his full season, no danger of relegation. Winning matches away from home and at home.

Administration would be our saviour from the likes of Burley and Lowe.

People like GM and Jonah were PR plants or the enemy within despite being spot on about abour the Wilde Bunch and the Pinnacle farce.

Anyone who ever tried to be balanced was accused of being, oh dear, a "Lowe Luvvie."

Morons, Alpine, God we have our share of people who just don't get it, but hey, we got our club back..................

This thread isn't about whether or not Alpine is a moron (I'm sure we all have our views on that).

It was about whether people were still happy.

Now... seeing as it seems we are about to be owned by a succesful billionaire who doesn't have any negative connotations (dodgy money, despot etc..), I'd say it's gone better than anyone could have hoped.

Don't forget that whether people wanted admin or not, it was Lowe that delivered it (along with another relegation).

I can sense some bitterness here from you, SOG. None of the players lost is irreplaceable and had we survived administration, you know damned well that they would have jumped ship on relegation anyway.

The difference is that our new owner does apparently have a few bob to his name, which is more than Lowe and the other charlatans did, so I'm feeling pretty confident that at least we might have some decent replacement players instead of having to trawl the Tyro league for them, as Lowe would have done.

So, yes; Lowe's gone. Yay!

So has the deal been signed and all is sorted??? At the point where life is better for SFC I will be right there with you mate.

History will judge that administration is the point when life got better.

Without it the club would still be under the cloud of Lowe and would have continued to die slowly.

What? When he left we were closer to the play off places than relegation.

He won 1.54 points per game, more than any other manager - including Bates and McMenemy -since the war.

But for a couple of individual mistakes by players we would have made the play off final.

Yep what a failure eh?

KIV he spent more on players that year than virtually the rest of the division put together.

Burley is completely irrelevant to this thread.

It's a shame you had to bring him up.

Moley, I am not going to argue with you because I don't think it would make a difference...but Lowe didn't sp*nk our money up the wall as the Wilde Bunch and followers did.

Lowe had his faults but in 10 years we did actually achieve a lot more than many other Prem clubs.

But if you want to see those years as a failure that is fine.
