St_Tel49 Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 I may well have done - but after consideration i'm not going to give up on Pinnacle just yet. Until we know that MF doesn't have a wealthy backer it'd be foolish to write him off. For once - I desperately hope you are right. wessex saint Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Tony Lynam is a poster and GM has directed threads against him. My thread is not in the same league of those threads and is merely asking a question of the main instigator of the Pinnacle witchhunt. GM may well be on the mark, but given his erous stance it's reasonable to press him to answer the question in the op. Mole -I'm with you. GM has been nothing but negative since day 1 of the pinnacle bid. You have to ask why? Every other true Saints fan was made up by the fact that someone wanted to buy our ****ty club and what's more- they would involve MLT and possibly KK. I've been on the message board reading his vitriol and pessimism for the last 4 weeks and cannot get a grip on why. If the Pinnacle bid fails then so be it - maybe the Swiss will buy us - maybe they won't. personally i'll be gutted if Pinnacle bid fails cos it was sold as a dream ticket and I bought one. GM - I feel sorry for you. You're either a permanent wind up merchant or a complete pessimist. either way I would imagine you're quite lonely - possibly bullied at school? I hope you'll be very happy if/when various takeover bids fail and we end up in the Blue Square Premier. At least you'll have been proved right. well done. Saint in Paradise Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Perhaps the money man/people that Pinnacle represent were in at the start but within the last few days decided against going ahead. It is sometimes called "Buyers Remorse" as I said days ago so perhaps Pinnacle are now trying to gain time to search for new money men ? The only people who really know are the Pinnacle lot but in the past I have found GM makes very good and highly relevant points even though I don't always agree with him. Torrent Of Abuse Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 GM may well be on the mark, . That would appear to be the most pertinent point, would it not? I must admit to hating GM's attitude on here sometimes but I have learnt to see past the grating nature of his posts to see where he might have a point, and it is starting to look like he had a point - much as he had a point when he showed Wilde up for the chancer he was. I must admit though Mole/Stanley, I've yet to find the upside to your posts. You seem to be grasping for things to use against GM when there are bigger and more important fish to fry. Why aren't you asking your DD questions of Tony Lynam instead. As I mentioned to Alpine In the previous GM-knocking thread, he's just as entitled to voice his doubts about Pinnacle as Alpine was to doubt Poortvliet/Wotte or you were entitled to voice your doubts about Lowe. Why he should be labelled a "troll" for doing what you guys do is anyone's guess. Oh but GM, can we have less of your attitude too please? You may talk sense sometimes but it's true, you are also a bit of a c**k sometimes :-)
SaintBobby Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 (edited) I do agree with the OP that the Pinnacle bid has (or had) to be granted some sort of level of credibility simply because of (a) the payment for the rights to exclusivity and (b) the need to prove adequate funds are available to Mark Fry. However, a possible explanation for the collapse of their bid would be: a). The payment for exclusive rights was stumped up largely or entirely by Crouch or Le Tissier or both - in return for guarantees on future involvement/position/status. b). The serious money men behind the bid withdrew at some point between the start of the exclusivity deal and now. I'm not massively keen on these explanations, but they do - sadly - strike me as more plausible than a continuing technical hold-up over the club's points penalty or football licence. On balance, I think Pinnacle can't complete for want of funds. But I don't say this with any great certainty and hope I'm wrong. The Swiss and the Middle East consortiums can not agree to fulfill Pinnacles promise. Mark Fry has stated here is the contracts agree these terms (that Pinnacle have put forward). and we have a deal. CanadaSaint Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 But it seems clear to me that Pinnacle can no longer meet the terms on which they reached agreement with Fry and, by extension, the creditors. The creditors are therefore in no position to dictate the terms and point a gun at any potential acquirer because they essentially have no offers on the table. Until they realize that "50% of f*ck-all is still f*ck-all" they won't be getting any acceptable offers from Switzerland, the Middle East, Timbuctoo or any damn place. So we're heading for an agonizing week. I just hope that good people (MLT and Crouch) can salvage some semblance of self esteem from this, and that we still have a club at the end of it. I have my doubts.

Last Friday I posted I thought GM was bang on and none of the fan friendly rhetoric fromTL has changed that this week. One of the reason why GM has been against this deal is that he appears to know TL and his ability to deliver on this. After the way you and Marc Jackson made a complete fool of him last summer i'm surprised he wants anything to do with you. 1) You endorse GM's sentiments. With respect an endorsement from someone with your track record is hardly glowing. 2) Pinnacle have paid no cash. How do you know this David? Did Marc Jackson tell you this? Until this is confirmed by someone with some credibility (I have asked the question) then you'd be the last one i'd believe. 3) I have heard that it's more than the -10 points that is the issue. I'm no takeover high flyer like you David, but i do have a mystery contact that would know slightly more than you. 4) If Pinnacle lost their money 3 weeks ago how did they proved funds and pass due dilligence? 5) I'll never be as deluded as you David, but i'm not discounting that the terms of the FL could increase our punishment. 6) So there we have Marc Jacksons excuse for once agian failing to deliver. Talking of front men what happened to barry the Briefcase? 7) Another excuse for Marc Jackson. 8 ) I can belive there is a Swiss bid, but the middle eastern one involves Jacko we all know that'll never happen. Charlie Wayman Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Explain how Pinnacle passed due dilligence and proved funds? It seems a reasonable enough question to me, and given GM's slating of TL, MF and the Pinnacle bid it strikes me as odd why he cannot substantiate his claims by teling us how Pinnacle could have conned their way through DD and proved funds they didn't have. Anything is possible following the astonishing and unbelievable comment of Mr Le Tissier on BBC South last evening that the nature of the business and resources of Mr Fialka were none of his business.. WHAT? Isn't he supposed to be The Chairman of this bid. It's his DUTY to know every detail of where the money is coming from to support a bid. FFS what wuld you do if the Captain of your airliner suddenly announced he didn't know how his plane wokrked and that it was none of his business what the Engineers did?!?!?! Well SaintBobby, if this post is indeed David Extance hijacking Saintlee's account then the first statement is b0llox. This is because David Extance posted on here as St David, all through the summer of 2007! I even at one stage had his telephone number when a few of us were being sucked in by Marc Jackson's fantasy. He claimed to me that his own TSF (?) account had been hijacked and his PC hacked, although I cannot vouch in the truth of that statement he made to me. I believe that St David was also sucked in by MJ. Remember those grandiose plans? The flirting with HelpmeRhondda over the chilled wine? Make of the rest, of his post, what you will. **EDIT** It looks like I'm not the only one who thinks David is an attention seeker! SaintRichmond Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 GM is a hot shot businessman that knows everything there is to know about everything. Surely he'd know how DD and proof of funds could be fabricated and presumably they must have been fabricated. If they weren't fabricated where does it leave his campaign against TL, MF and Pinnacle? Lowe blow IMHO

I only considered the prima facie information, not the (in)credibility of the "expert" witness. His first reply to me was that we didn't see eye-to-eye on Jackson. Given, I would rather have Ian Huntley mounting a bid for Saints, I believe this indicates he continues to be an MJ supporter....
AwaySaint1 Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 6) The Swiss along with the Middle East consortium are finding it very hard to proceed David Extanxe The Swiss and the Middle east consortium are one and the same. The Swiss are the bankers fronting the bid for the Middle east consortium.
Saint Billy Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 Anything is possible following the astonishing and unbelievable comment of Mr Le Tissier on BBC South last evening that the nature of the business and resources of Mr Fialka were none of his business.. Chairman my Rrse, with his lack of understanding of what a Chairman is supposed to do we need to pray that he never becomes ours. A little harsh don't you think. 1. He is not chairman yet. He is endorsing the pinnacle group 2. What do you want him to do, personally investigate the banks accounts of everyone involved in the pinnacle deal, and has Fry has now since said, there is not an issue of not enough funds. I really find this sudden hint of negativeness against MLT really fecking disgusting.

AwaySaint1 Posted 28 June, 2009 Share Posted 28 June, 2009 Weston are you saying that the Swiss are acting alone ? I will drop a few names later today and we can compare what we have been told. The Swiss group you have been told about, have they been doing due diligence on another European club in the past few weeks in a bid that stumbled ? SaintRichmond Posted 28 June, 2009 Share Posted 28 June, 2009 Mole -I'm with you. GM has been nothing but negative since day 1 of the pinnacle bid. You have to ask why? SaintRichmond Posted 28 June, 2009 Share Posted 28 June, 2009 Roma? (Bid that Failed) Wow, so you can see why they were so fortunate in having Saints to fall back on ......... They will NOT be serious ........ for the simple reason that they are Shopping Around ........... It is Pinnacle or Nothing ....... ( and I include Wacko Jacko in the " Nothing" )
