Thedelldays Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 this shows pearce has no idea... he needs to swap theo and milner over.. theo is more of a forward to support the striker and milner tracks back more... seeing as their threat is mainly down the their right....duuuh.. Saint Martini Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Harsh on Sweden they were the better team through the whole match but forgot how to defend setpieces (very strange for a Swedish team).

Saint Martini Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Theo is one of the most overrated players in English football On that showing he is, I was hoping for him to take a penalty. He was so **** poor I was very confident of him missing. Its a shame I was wrong.
Bentley Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Joe Hart needs to make his middle name '****ing'. Watching him put off the players in the penalty shoot-out was funny enough, and save a shot, but then slotting home the second penalty perfectly. Winner. chrisobee Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 As for Theo Walcott I'm sure he'll fulfill his potential. I always thought he left us a year too soon and picking him for the 2006 WC squad was just madness. Should have been allowed to develop as a player more gradually. I'm sure if Wenger offered him to us on loan 99% of the fans would be delighted, the other 1% as we know all too well on here are never happy! Saint Martini Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 (edited) wtf was Hart booked for? Unsporting behaviour. That was for walking towards the Swedish penalty taker and thus delaying play. Harsh from the ref and rather stupid from Hart. Gotta laugh at Agbonlahor though: Pearce will also have two other players missing for the final after Gabriel Agbonlahor picked up a second yellow card of the tournament and Fraizer Campbell was sent off during the match. Agbonlahor said: "I'm disappointed. It was the same ref who gave me the first yellow and if you look back at them, they are both harsh. Bjärsmyr had to leave the field to get a wound patched up because he had is elbow planted in his face, even if it isn't on purpose it is always a yellow. Shouldn't be though, an accident is an accident, don't blame him feeling hard done by. I think England have been mostly excellent apart from the finland game which we still won and the 2nd half yesterday where they allowed sweden back in it, even the team of 2nd choice players were excellent against the krauts, fair play pearce, i'm impressed. Shouldn't be? Its a judgement by the ref call that generally leads to a booking. If you jump up with raised arms to block your opponent then you know you run the risk of being booked. I do disagree about the English performance yesterday. They weren't good at all in the first half, they scored form three corners and had two chances from Swedish players stupidly giving the ball away but apart from that they didn't create anything. If they play anything like this in the final they will lose it.
The Majestic Channon Posted 28 June, 2009 Share Posted 28 June, 2009 The arm will always raised a little for balance, certainly didn't look malicious to me. Anyway, roll on Malmö monday, which we will probably lose knowing england but at least we are there
