PaulSaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Sid James as Michael Fialka Kenneth Williams as Rupert Lowe Bernard Bresslaw as Michael Wilde Charles Hawtrey as Leon Crouch in Carry on on Saints We'd spend a million quid making it then bring it out only on Laserdisk !
SaintRichmond Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 So, on which of the 21 days of exclusivity did Begbies become aware of the change in Pinnacle's financial backers and thus the need to cancel the exclusivity period and re-assess the 'proof-of-funds' situation (for all still interested parties)? Given the exclusivity period was never 'canceled' the only logical conclusion one can come to is that Pinnacle didn't advise Begbies that their situation had changed. Or they did and Begbies glossed over the 'revisit proof-of-funds' clause. I could be talking out of my hat of course But, that would be gross mal practice on Begies part ......... I really cannot see such a Company neglecting their duties in such a way.......... they would leave themselves open to future prosecution surely ???
NickG Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Exactly...even more reason for greater transparency and accountability this time around. I knew we'd find common ground eventually. Your go. he said he will invest and that is step forward- and beggars can't be choosers! TBH if he spends the last of his money taking us over - we would still be better off than before
exit2 Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 reading the posts about passing the proof of funds stage is interesting. As this is done twice. Once by the administrators legal team and then by the Football league legal team and it is not as simple as faking some documents. This is why I cant understand some aspects of this deal

From what I have heard listening to TL and MF on SKY the FL have moved the goal posts so what is now on the table is not what Pinnacle originally thought they were buying. However I dont feel the SKY Presenters have been asking the Questions we the Saints Fans want being answered

You might possibly try and negotiate the price down a bit, but not throw the toys out of the pram. The 10 points is smokescreen, an excuse imo

SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I knew i've seen that Fialka before, he was on that Confused.com advert. Perhaps thats how he's funding the takeover. He's just waiting for his ad, to be shown some more!
saintdavey Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I really cannot understand WHY Pinnacle/Lynam/Fry wheeled out Fialka yesterday ........... ????? With just a LITTLE delving (by anyone) it soon became obvious that he would IMHO, have a job to get anywhere near £100 - £200M ............ even on a Monopoly Board ... I mean, it was SO laughable, it wasn't even funny ..... and STILL Tony L kept on assuring us that "we will close the deal soon", or words to that effect COMPLET BOLL*CKS WHY WERE PINNACLE TAKING THE P*SS ????? Agree, it's now becoming a little bit embarrassing what's going on. As I posted a few hours ago, this has my home town Aldershot, 1990, written all over it.

saint_mears Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 The Fialka interview in the SSN studio he made out that he was the new owner. That he had done well in business and could now afford to buy a football club. Fialka is clearly yet another middleman, so why cannot the actual finance people come forward ?
