IMO the Swiss group is a far better bet and has the know how to bring in the best management team.

I had to say this after a long time of watching and waiting.

Any chance of posting some info on who they are so that we can discuss your post objectively?

Ta very much

I have faith in you Tony but it is running thin at the moment.

It already was 'time to complete the deal' this time last week, this is dragging on and on.

Surely you can see unless something happens soon then another consortium will come in and steal your thunder ?? God forbid if that blubbering oaf MJ manages it ??

Where is the money ??

Will you ever get over this issue with FL ? (no other clubs managed it)

Will we be left with any time to prepare ??

It's all getting too much.

I hate to say it mate, people are loosing faith and quickly.

So you would prefer to be proven right than for Pinnacle to put down the money to save our club?

There really are some weird ****ers on this site.

Don't think thats what he means.

But to be fair, even my (up to now) unstoppable optimism is wearing very thin, i just don't like what i am hearing.

We have a legend in MLT who has ALWAYS had the good of the club at heart, who has stepped up to the line and is prepared to put his good name and reputation behind this bid. Do some of you really believe that he would risk that good name and reputation on some far fetched bid from a "tyre kicker" and a "mummies boy"?

Nobody is saying that he knows/knew that Pinnacle's bid may not be all it has been purported to be, hence he would not be risking his reputation (based on what he knows/knew).

At the Forum match I was told that a bunch of saints fans (and some others)put up a sham takeover bid for Leeds. They took it a long way before being found out. Iwonder how much the Leeds fans who were duped feel now.

and now Tony Fialka the Spurs fan ..........................?

I think we have to assume that MLT is no fool and would have checked as far as was possible before giving his name to this bid.

If this goes t*ts up, MLT looses a fair amount of credibility and respect.

That's told me !

Don't like getting at anyone mate i don't, and i don't mean any real offence, but all this takeover crap is doing my f'n head in.

It's just all ********, i don't trust TL any more with his 'it will be concluded today' for the 7th day running.

Just don't see the point of people saying 'i know something you don't' or words to that effect.

Just don't f'n say anything.

Unless i was prepared to say the things i knew i wouldn't hint at it.

i simply cannot believe there are still some people out there that believe this deal is going to happen

I know - it's wierd isn't it.

I think they're frightened in case Des and his mate Sasha Baron-Cohen read all the nasty things we've said about them on here and go off in hissie fit (taking MLT and their ninepence ha'penny with them)

Well Tony you said today was the crucial day for the club. Why have you not signed on the dotted line?Oh I forgot because you are totally full of bullsh*t.Thanks for totally wasting our time and costing us most of our players no doubt. The Swiss could have had the deal done by now if you hadn't wasted 4 weeks on the exclusivity period.

Prove me wrong and sign now or give us the exact reason you haven't signed as you now owe all Saints fans a proper explanation of what is going on imho

VERY VERY PI**ED OFF SAINTS FAN

In that case' date=' Smirking Saint, do you think that Pinnacle will buy the club?[/quote']

I don't know anything mate, i was making a point.

IMHO, i hope so i really do, i hope all the rumours going around and speculation that it is all who farts loudest turns out to be ********.

Unfortunately i fear most of TL's messages are out of desperation.

I trusted he would get it done, now i fear it is a flash in the pan.

MLT loses your respect, really ? honestly ? how do you feel about the guy charged with finding a buyer, carrying out due diligence and entering into an exclusivity period after seeing proof of funds ? how is his credibility ?

This is what keeps a glimmer of hope with me, surely they wouldn't have made such a monumental f*ck up.

But the fact he is looking elsewhere seems to me that fry doubts the credibility of pinnacle, surely if he thought all was inplace apart from the FL issue he would be just concentrating on completion ??

Apologies if this has been put up already but here goes anyway.

Jewish property man fronts bid to buy Southampton FC

Former teammates of Michael Fialka, the man purportedly at the centre of the Pinnacle Group’s bid to buy Southampton Football Club, have expressed shock over his potential takeover.

Lettings agent Fialka, 32, appeared on Sky Sports on Thursday night and informed reporters that he was hopeful the bid would be accepted. He confirmed that outstanding players' wages, in the region of £500,000, have been settled.

The Barnet resident, who apparently still lives at his parents' home in Barnet, is described as “one of the longest-serving players at London Lions”, (one of the leading Jewish football teams). A fitness enthusiast, Fialka had an unsuccessful spell as player-manager of the Lions' reserve team. He left the club after being dropped as a player by the Sunday Maccabi Lions B team, and has since stopped playing.

Basil Wein, Lions’ registration secretary, said: “Mickey’s all right. He’s a character. If he pulls it off, good luck to him.”

An unnamed source said: “I’m honestly shocked. It’s more shocking than Michael Jackson’s death. He’s one of the best talker s you’ll ever meet.

“I imagine he’s a front man with someone else’s money as he doesn’t have the trappings of a wealthy individual. He must be working with some very wealthy people.”

Another commented: “He’s a really nice guy with a strong and determined character.”

We have to assume that the guy who was charged with finding a buyer, carrying out due diligence and entering into an exclusivity period did in fact see proof of funds, just as you would expect MLT to have seen proof of funds.

What I am saying is that we have to trust the judgement of MLT and be patient.

I ask again, would any of us have spent over a million on "tyre kicking"?

So why does MLT lose respect if he has seen proof of funds ?

So why does MLT lose respect full stop ! I think i'd still have a respect for him if he killed my wife(even greater maybe)

MLT states it is the FA who are screwing the Pinnacle bid, Lynam states it si the FA but is trying to remain on side, rightly or wrongly, if the FA are trying to leave us, yes us, the club, without any rights of appeal against starting the season on -25 then every bidder/buyer will come up against the same, so do we concede now or try and negotiate with the bastards so we start on -10 ?

MLT should not lose the respect of any Saints fan, irrespective

MJ is getting a complete slagging off here, but would those who are slagging him off rather the club go out of business and his consortium not buy the club?

PS I would rather he didn't buy the club but if its a choice between MJ and no club MJ will win every time.

1. Have they spent "over a million"?

2. The 10 point penalty and the possibility of this being increased to 25 or further relagation was known by the last week of April - see FL Statement.

3. Surely Pinnacle would have investigated the FL position BEFORE making a bid - a quick look at the Leeds arbitration findings would have told them what to expect in the way of waiver requirements from the FL.

4. The FL will not back down - Pinnacle know this.

5. So Pinnacle can decide NOW to either walk away or bite the bullet.

The DELAY in taking a decision either way is inexplicable.

The club will or will not go out of business despite whatever MJ does or does not do

Too me, it does matter.

I don't want to see cracks appearing before we even get it signed tbh.

If you heard MLT on Solent this AM he was not convincing at all, sounded down and irked by alot of the goings on,not just with the echo or the football league either.

He sounded very much like a man that the truth is beginning to dawn on.

Why will he lose credibility? He's been sincere in wanting to help the club and fans since the beginning of this debacle. His credibility has gone up and will stay that way even if pinnacle fail - he's shown that he loves this club as much as the fans on this forum.

so we start today with TL saying that today will be a desive day in the history of Saints.

and we end the day with no deal. I'm off down the pub. I'm a grumpy, p!ssed off carbon-based life form. If there is no news when I wake up tomorrow then as far as I am concerned Pinnacle were nothing more than a bunch of jokers.

Things that are really odd here....

Who paid the 500k or less

How come Fry accepted less if in fact he did...especially if the Swiss were hours behind?

Who is paying the legal bill of Pinnacle....is MLT/TL/Crouch funding this for the promise of future roles?

How come Fry's 43 initial interested parties became 2 total waste of space merchants so how bad were the others?

WTF did any of us do to deserve this when all we all wanted was a club to cheer on?
