Matthew Le God Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Have faith in Pinnacle, I still do Cheers Tony for update Good morning everyone Today is going to be a decisive day in the future of the Club in my opinion. Much work is going on as we speak to resolve the legal issues which caused the delay with our takeover. At the same time, work is also being done to put in place a contingency arrangement so that, with the permission of the new owner, funds can be released to pay staffs wages. Whilst the legal issue is more critical, on a more personal note the wages are at the forefront of my mind. I am aware of some very unhelpful rumours and questions about Mr Fialka and his colleagues - he choose to speak out yesterday to add not just substance, but weight to our position, with particular focus on the League issue. That continues to be worked on this morning. Quite where and why these rumours have originated is anyones guess, and I would have to seriously question anyones motives for trying to discredit the guy who approached us to try and save the Club. Needless to say, there is no foundation in any such rumours, as will be demonstrated when this deal is completed. But to speculate that our new owner in waiting lives with his parents is nothing short of ridiculous (not that living with your parents is of course ridiculous). Anyway, from the start of this, I pledged to you all one thing. Unity. And that is what is needed to overcome the obstacles in our way. I will not lower our standards and have a war of words with anyone, least of all a newspaper. That is what freedom of speech is all about - but I have reminded that newspaper this morning that they should do research of their own rather than rely upon others feeding them information before the print inaccurate stories. Clearly we are aware of other groups apparent interest so we are concentrating on the important job of resolving the issues in hand. All the best for now, and keep the faith, its time to complete the deal. Regards Tony
trousers Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 "I am aware of some very unhelpful rumours and questions about Mr Fialka and his colleagues" There's a very simple solution to quash such rumours....
maxi_sopez Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 its time to complete the deal, i guess that means tommorow then
ladysaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 This raises more questions than it answers, confused.
saint lard Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 So it is not just Fialka then, consortium it is. Mixed messages from TL and MLT this morning. Does MLT know the truth about Pinnacle and Mr Fialka,he maybe just as in the dark on some issues as us. It ain't fun being a mushroom
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 "Mr Fialka and his colleagues"[/Quote] That seems to confirm what I have been suggesting - that maybe Fialka is just an employee for an organisation which is taking over the club. So, come on guys... what can you find out about Fialka in terms of who he works for? Maybe he works for a wealthy investment firm that is seeking to takeover the club? Let's hope so!!
Webby Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 So it is not just Fialka then, consortium it is. Mixed messages from TL and MLT this morning. Does MLT know the truth about Pinnacle and Mr Fialka,he maybe just as in the dark on some issues as us. It ain't fun being a mushroom Does it matter? As I said above, maybe the money will come through MF, via his backers.
Dutch-Saint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Today is your chance to make it happen Tony, please for all of us SFC supporter's, the staff, the players ....weve been through FAR TO MUCH farce's and wind-up's for this also to fizzle out.....TODAY PLEASE ! COYR !!
SaintBobby Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I'll gladly accept this from TL. But it does mean today is the day. If this drags on over another weekend, that stretches credulity. So, here's hoping. Plus it will also be a delicious fringe benefit for the morons like GM to be proven wrong.
foghorn Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I'm knackered following all this! Just seen a message on twitter: Michael Fialka is an anagram of "Chill, I am a fake" lol
Thedelldays Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 sorry tone we have heard it all before. if you wanted us you would buy us....so far, you have not we feel like the last guy picked at a park football match
Thedelldays Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 tony is it one backer or a group wanting to take us over..?
Crab Lungs Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Take no notice of them TL, please... Saints fans are the biggest bunch of whingers in football...
eelpie Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 "I have reminded that newspaper this morning that they should do research of their own rather than rely upon others feeding them information before the print inaccurate stories." QUOTE ..which the Echo gets from trawling this and other forums.

COYR !! Time is on Mawhinbags side. Not TL's. The FL are the ones holding the gun.
saint lard Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Does it matter? As I said above, maybe the money will come through MF, via his backers. Too me, it does matter. I don't want to see cracks appearing before we even get it signed tbh. If you heard MLT on Solent this AM he was not convincing at all, sounded down and irked by alot of the goings on,not just with the echo or the football league either.
Leslie Charteris Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I seem to remember someone else exhorting us to "keep the faith" in the not too distant past... I just hope we'll not be let down again.
Johnny Bognor Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Have faith in Pinnacle, I still do Cheers Tony for update I am aware of some very unhelpful rumours and questions about Mr Fialka and his colleagues - he choose to speak out yesterday to add not just substance, but weight to our position That is the crux of the problem for me. MF "coming out" did not add substance or weight. Had Bill Gates or Richard Branson "come out", this would have added substance and weight. Don't want to slag the new guy off, but this excecise has not silenced the critics, only made things worse.
saintoaks Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I still have faith Tony, but only for so long !! Come on do the deal.. i need a reason to celebrate tonight. Things are getting pretty desperate for us saints fans at the mo, we need some good news. sooner than later.
eelpie Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 That's what he's saying eelpie That's what I said. Some posters on here are fueling careless irresponsible rumours and speculation that the press prints. Not helpful.
Barry Horne Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 "I have reminded that newspaper this morning that they should do research of their own rather than rely upon others feeding them information before the print inaccurate stories." QUOTE ..which the Echo gets from trawling this and other forums. Will be interesting to see if The Echo now removes the story from its website or stands by what it claims and leaves it be...could well be an indication of how seriously they take Tony Lynam and the "buyers".
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I like the reference to the 'newspaper' doing their own investigation and not relying on hearsay. Is TL referring to our local 'newspaper' (loosest term applied if true) and if so I wonder where they got their 'facts' from? All this would be unbelieveable if it wasn't our club involved!
OldNick Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 'a contingency arrangement so that, with the permission of the new owner' not a case of the new owner paying anything but funds from elsewhere. Not seeking commitment from the buyer if he is not writing out a cheque.
Weston Saint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Think we have to step back, let Mr Lynam and his team get on with their side and hope that Mr Fry continues to progress the Swiss talks with an acceptable offer by next Wednesday. Why Wednesday, well simply to give the Swiss a few days due diligence without the need for a non refundable deposit. there appears now other way acceptable
OldNick Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I'm knackered following all this! Just seen a message on twitter: Michael Fialka is an anagram of "Chill, I am a fake" lolOh my good god
Snowballs2 Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 We appear to be running out of road as far as the Pinnacle bid goes. Now 3 weeks are passed they seem no further forward, time to move over and let someoneb else have a go. We are asked to live on false promises, we cannot go on like this
Barfy Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Reading between the lines, I reckon what Mr Lynam is tryng to say is: "stop bellyaching, when there is some real facts that we can release into the public domain we'll tell you" But like everyone else does he deleted the blunt message, and wrote something a lot longer and more diplomatic.
Mr Nice Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 "I have reminded that newspaper this morning that they should do research of their own rather than rely upon others feeding them information before the print inaccurate stories." QUOTE ..which the Echo gets from trawling this and other forums. companies house, electrol roll etc anyone can do it Why wheel out MF if he is not the real money man ? Someone is paying pinnacles bills !
GenevaSaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Funny how all of the ITKs have gone quiet now, tossers the lot of them. Seeing as the "bid" is falling apart (but deep down I hope all will be ok) lets have you all out there on a thread saying what you thought you knew!!!!!
sussexsaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 The FL WILL never back down, it never ever has done in the past If in order to complete the deal you need the FL to back down you may as well stop this charade now

Now 3 weeks are passed they seem no further forward, time to move over and let someoneb else have a go. We are asked to live on false promises, we cannot go on like this There is nothing stopping someone else having a go. Mark Fry is able to speak to other interested parties if they approach him
Tac-tics Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Im Bored now, going to bed, waking up, best be to a bloody takeover completed or there will be "twwwrrrrooobbblllllleeee"
SaintBobby Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 There is nothing stopping someone else having a go. Mark Fry is able to speak to other interested parties if they approach him And other interested parties could apply for exclusivity immediately.
The9 Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 When it comes down to it, the "contingency plan" that pays the staff's wages is this week's "put up or shut up" - at least in the short term.
Isabel Healey Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 The FL WILL never back down, it never ever has done in the past If in order to complete the deal you need the FL to back down you may as well stop this charade now Spot on !! Said the same on another Link !!
Mole Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Tony, You said there was one backer worth several hundred million. Now you claim its a consortium. Make your F**king mind up. Mole.
SW11_Saint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Feel somewhat better after that, but it is worrying now that this seems to be more than one investor, rather than just one. No problem with that per se, but Tony has always said he was being open and honest, so why this contradiction to his original statement?
yorkiesaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I think we are now approaching mass hysteria. Be patient, wait for the bid to conclude, wait.... wait.., then assess the fall out.
Barfy Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Tony, You said there was one backer worth several hundred million. Now you claim its a consortium. Make your F**king mind up. Mole. A consortium would be classed as one party, thus one backer. Or is that theory too conspiratorial even for this forum?
sotonjoe Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 message from sotonjoe... 26th june 10:52 am I have lost respect for you Lynam and your punctuation is amateurish.
amigo1 Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 tony, you said there was one backer worth several hundred million. Now you claim its a consortium. Make your f**king mind up. Mole. agreed

ONE LITTLE PROBLEM wasn't this seriously rich backer supposed to have been known to Lynham? In fact MLT said that he was a close business associciate of Tony.. But Tony Lynham is now saying the man approached him???????????????????????
LostBoys Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Sorry this just will not do any more - just complete the deal today and pay the wages or just go away Mr Lynam your money man has been exposed as a man of straw. You can only be intending to try and buy the club out of its assets but unfortunately a League 1 club is not worth the money stated to be the asking price and so you need a big slug of equity to be inserted as well as funds to get the club out of League 1. I have been supportive and appreciate the PR but I suspect you do not have the cash for the deal. There is only one way to prove me wrong.
Redondo Saint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I've been saying for ages the Echo is crap for reporting SFC. One day they are positive, the next negative. They are just a bunch of kids in their first job. No offence to kids in first jobs, but the paper always used to have a more balanced and less sensational response to SFC. Is there a sports editor is it down to the ego maniac Murray? I guess it really is about selling papers and not chasing down information and unbiasd reporting. Sadly the plight of SFC has not helped itself either. Lynam was very gullible if he thought the paper and this site would give unconditional support to Pinnacle because of MLT.
(not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Well it alls looks a little bit confusing and highly worrying, but that's the price of admin, there's fook all we can do about it. We're in the hands of Mr Fry and if deal A secures the best deal for his creditors whereas deal B is in the best long-term interest of the club then, unfortunately, he's going to take deal A. There were many crowing about how forcing admin was some sort of heroic act that would deliver us from Evil... it might just yet deliver us from the frying pan into the fire. No point in *****ing about it all now, we're powerless in this all we can do is hope that these guys are true to their word, they do the deal and we come out of it stronger. Even if that hope is looking more faint by the hour.
Joesaint Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Cheers, I'm feeling good today, today will 'the' FRIDAY. COYR
Red And White Barmy Army Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 the best thing I read about that is for the first time he's made a couple of spelling errors which means he didn't have time to proof read it which means he's in a rush which means our club is about to be saved I really don't give a toss who's money it is - the important thing is that we can spend enough in 3 years on a squad of championship play-off standard - a good manager and football chairman will be more than capable of getting us one step further up the tree and back to where we belong. Did anyone really expect our saviour to be any more than a previous unknown?!?! People that haven't been in the public interest would have no reason to be on wikipedia! The key to our success is a decent management structure and it seems that MF has his head screwed on a damn sight better than Lowe did!
The Banana Factor Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 Ok guys, I live a short bus ride from our fearless new leaders humble abode. I'm thinking of going up there and performing a reccy just to see what we are dealing with. By my reckoning it should be quite easy to find his room because it will be the one with the spurs duvet cover and piggy bank overflowing with all the millions that he has stashed away!
Andy Durman Posted 26 June, 2009 Posted 26 June, 2009 I am disgusted with the character assassinations that I have read both on this forum and in the newspapers. The time to judge is when the deal has been completed or failed. For the love of our club please be patient and silent unless you have something positive to contribute! In MLT we trust!!!!!!!!!!
