Michael Jackson RIP .... puts

Dont Stop Till You Get Enough (tribute Poem)

He Was The King of Pop, why do the good die young?

Because the media stole his life before it had begun.

And now as he was returning like Machiavelli, a comeback;

God cruelly takes his angel with a heart attack.

Born in Indiana, under his father's striking arm,

A rocking robin at the age of 11 sold us his charm.

A shooting star, he was at the top, without a childhood,

Would you have treated him differently in retrospect if you could?

He had his haters but as he once said, "If you had a friend like Ben"

Would you still hate this great if he lived again?

Do you know of the torture he faced as a kid?

If you had been beaten and scared, you would've done as he did

He fought to regain his youth, he wanted his childhood twice;

The media twisted it to become the fuel, become the spice.

His own generosity would one day comeback to bite

Giving kids what he never had would all be in spite.

He Put his neck on the line and not with his anti-gravity lean

Three counts of paedophilia and he kept his nose clean.

Yes his nose, how it gained its status is contreversial

Due to the contrary it started when he broke it in rehearsal

A kind natured man to be overcome with hatred and lies

That's how a fame hungry mother with the press accounted to his demise

A legacy left to admire greater than all before him

But three children who've seen the world full of sin

Now have to cope that Dad only lives hearts within

His family so different it leaves their future looking grim

However in the irony the public will cry in his final hymn

An angel talented with voice and dance now heaven can let him in

Throughout his life he had to fight with the man in the mirror

He had suffered stress and diseases but the media saw that too clearer

Stories and tales he loved as a kid, now were the press's evil tool

And he found out that the higher you are the harder you fall

The once child prodigy who lived his adolescence again in his ranch

Had his life and dignity. like his monkey, hung from a branch

Yet this isn't the King of Pop we all loved to listen to

A talent struck man however we only saw a few

A unique charisma that left an ever lasting impression

His choreography led to a whole worldwide obsession

A moon walk mastered, gravity defying to perfection

A body popping performer of robotics won our affection

His lyrical genius that left a white America tainted black

Breaking racial and social barriers MJ had the knack

it was him to tell us It doesn't matter if your black or white

But the reporters "Don't Care about us" although he was right

A child brought up in the limelight told them all to Beat it

He was a great and it took us his death to admit it

In all of this present sadness it was he who said I'm Bad

His songs seemed to have the future in them, of which I am Glad

As this in a way let him foresee his life first

So he let the reporters in till it was fit to burst

And then said "You've got to be starting Something"

A life so different to be led if he was to have been nothing

The tears we may cry to compare with his kids is a fraction

There was and will only ever be one Michael Jackson

A legendary status doesn't justify this man

Only his legacy in music and love in our hearts can

The King of Pop himself said "Don't stop till you get enough"

Now someone go and better him, now that'll be tough

Thank-you for reading, and bless Michael Jackson and let him R.I.P

Just after it was announced that he was doing the comeback tour, I said to my mates at work that he would fake his death before performing in any of the shows.

I'm not really sure how to feel now.

I could have won a fortune!

The last public person to die that I cried about was Bob Paisley. However, I think your poem is pretty good to be honest, not too clunky or too reverential (aka 'ghey'), but expressing a lot of emotion and thought. Anyway, certainly better than anything I could have done.

Cheers

MJ's dates in London have had to be cancelled but Gary Glitter has offered to cover Simon 9yrs old on Saturday and Nigel 8 yrs old on Sunday.

It should be remembered that MJ touched a lot of people in his lifetime ... just a pity most of them were children.

MJ is going to be melted down into plastic toys so that children can play with him for a change.

On arriving at Neverland police found Class A drugs in the Bathroom, Class B drugs in the living room and Class 4C in the bedroom.

In his will MJ asked to be recycled as a plastic shopping bag ... so that he could be white and still be a danger to children.

RIP Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009 (Nose 1990 - 2009)

Conspiracy theory time.....

His private doctor, who should've been at his side, has gone missing and cannot be located.......you don't think he could've topped him,now that would make this interesting.

Now located and being questioned about possible overdoses of painkillers...

You don't think he's tried to top himself as well do you

Now 'helping with enquiries' and his car is being forensically searched for any connection to the death.

It appears Jackson was addicted to Demerol, an analgesic used to combat medium to severe pain (following his vertebral fracture amongst other things) which occasionally causes respiratory and cardiac arrest.

A three and a half hour post mortem failed to find any physical cause of the arrest, and toxicology tests are expected to take four to six weeks.

I know, but I wasn't going to act as your straight man; you have to work harder for your gags...

i wrote this haiku:

Born in sixty-three,

I grew up on his music

with the Jackson Five.

A-B-C, Simple…,

Little Bitty Pretty One,

and Dancing Machine.

Got to be there. Ben.

Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.

She’s Out Of My Life.

Billy Jean. Beat It.

Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.

I danced to them all.

Waiting, patiently

for Thriller, the video.

And so worth the hype.

He was changing, though.

No longer little Michael -

with that great big grin.

We are the World. Bad.

The Way You Make Me Feel.

The last I listened.

Youthful memories.

I wish you peace from yourself.

Good bye, King of Pop.

tpbury thankyou, i dont understand why i am getting so much greif for one poem, sorry if me expressing emotion in a poem is upsetting for you

I wouldn't take it too personally dude. I think the main reason is that poems themselves are seen as being a bit 'poncy'.

For what its worth it's not my cup of tea either, but you're entitled to express your feelings however you want to, just expect a bit of flack if it's in poetic form.

I think you're getting grief (check the spelling) because you posted a very long, very dull and very sh*t poem. Also, expressing emotion about someone you don't know is for birds and faggots.

Just a thought.
