Mole Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 With Hoddle returning? Dalek will be ecstatic! Can you really see MLT employing Hoddle. Le Tiss hates him with a passion.
PaulSaint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 So they buy property off of cash strapped businesses, makes sense? "Warner Estate Holdings reaps sales reward Warner Estate Holdings, the cash-strapped company in which Jack Petchey, the property investor, has a big stake, jumped 4¾p to 24½p, its highest level for two months, after it managed to sell its property running along St John’s Wood High Street in northwest London. The £39 million paid for the strip of buildings by NW8 Holdings is 19 per cent less than their September book value, but the deal will help Warner’s talks with its lenders. It had given warning in early February that its covenants were under growing pressure as valuations had fallen. "
St Marco Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 So basically the guy has a few million just like Crouch? Somehow i cannot help but think we have had the wool pulled over our eyes a little. Even Tony said the main guy had hundreds of millions of pounds, by the looks of it this guy has only a few million, deffinatly not enough to bring in Keegan and spearhead a spending spree. But we have to give the guy a chance and here is plans. We were never going to be having a spending power club but Pinnacle really have told a few porkies haven't they if he is the main man.
kpturner Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I was with Pinnacle until I saw him. Less than impressed I have to say. Unless, as Tony himself said he is 'one of' the gentelmen that has put his hand in his pocket. I'm shocked. What were you expecting then? What would have left you less shocked?
Weston Super Saint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I'm laughing at those that have judged him, or are "less than impressed", based on that fleeting interview. I guess the image some have built in their minds was based on the stereotype of grey hair, upper class, in his fifties[minimum] and drives a chauffeur driven Jaguar;-) A chauffeur then
ladysaint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Definitely a new manager coming in then according to the interview on SSN with Michael.
Eklund86 Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Have I missed something? I know he dose'nt look like a multi multi millionaire but how do we know he does'nt have 100's of million?
nickfinks Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Just seen the interview and thought he spoke well. I agree, he came across very well and i am delighted that he isnt a stereo type posh ****, he made it quite clear he would leave it to Matty, happy daze...
kpturner Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Just seen the interview and thought he spoke well.Ditto - I don't understand all this negativity and shock. I was expecting a name that I knew (I seem to remember reading that we would be pleasantly surprised), but so what?. If he is willing to put his money into this club then great. I didn't hear anything that alluded to the presence of a consortium unless the version I saw was edited from the original. Definitely a new manager though? Presumably Wotte already knows this.
Matthew Le God Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I didn't hear anything that alluded to the presence of a consortium unless the version I saw was edited from the original. Farmer suggests that in a way it is a consortium.
Mole Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Originally the Pinnacle bid comprised of two people. That then went down to one person. My thinking is that it may be back to the original two.
Saint Charlie Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 If they have the money then whats the problem?
ottery st mary Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 If associated to Jack Petchey then has good connections. Petchey was with Watford/West Ham some time ago....Money is there by the sound/look/feel etc.
Crispypie Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Sheeshe, you guys are harsh! Give the fella a chance
trousers Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Is the term 'consortium' being used in the sense that this Fialka chap has 'x' number of people contracted together as an official/committed group or is his 'consortium' a more casual arrangement of friends and associates that he intends dipping into as and when?
saintsmike25 Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 So, i'd rather people stepped into save the club even if they have a few million! At the end of the day, BEGGERS CAN'T BE CHOOSERS.
pfc123 Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I wanna be the captain of a boat... a big boat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHM2b8T0E4I Fantastic! this link led me to a compilation, which led me to New Musik, which led me to 'World of water' on Ebay. Been after it for donkeys years. Tenner for the whole album, delivered. Thankyou, thankyou! I knew there was a good reason for loitering on here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA2cJI1yWmM I'll get me trunks........
The Farmer Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Farmer suggests that in a way it is a consortium. Yes, it's my understanding that Fialka, although wealthy in his own right, is fronting a group of associates with a shared background that between them have amassed a large of pool of funds to draw from when required.

What kind of ballpark for "large pool"?

CB Saint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 5 million or 500 million, if he's in property it's a moving feast anyway. If he is mad enough to put his hand in his own pocket and invest in our football club, then I am happy to support him.
