Hatch Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Remember what football is anyone? Whats the best team Southampton could have , using only Non-capped players. Nick Holmes is Captain.
OldNick Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 isnt there another section for all this football stuff? Steve Mills
PaulSaint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Whats any of this got to do with finance & law???? CONFUSED!
70's Mike Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 is this full capped or does it included under 23/21's Keeper could be Gerry Gurr
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 What is this football you speak of? Do U21 caps count? If they do then that puts Nick Holmes out, he had an England U23 IIRC. Edit: He was called up for the U23s, but was injured and didn't play.
OldNick Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Graham Baker ,Manny Andrecheski, Eric Martin (oh scottish)

chrisobee Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 We need to know Hatch if you are referring to full internationals or also U21's etc; All you are doing by being so vague is adding to the stress TBH

Arizona Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Worst capped player? Imants Bleidelis or Kleber Challa.
Colinjb Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Worst capped player? Imants Bleidelis or Kleber Challa. Alledine Yahia?
OldNick Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 He has one cap. GK: Budgie Burridge LB: Dennis RB: Gerry Forrest CB: Mark 'Albert' Whitlock Mid field General: Casedid you mean Dennis Hollywood or Mark Dennis?
chrisobee Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 But then if I decide to make up my own "rules" so I can play along then assuming as I would only full internationals are included ( quite a few players play for U21's and don't progress to the full team, Rod Wallace being a very good example) then my team would be: Wells Steve Mills Mel Blyth Malcolm Waldron David Peach Nick Holmes Graham Baker Brian O'Neill ( would be fun seeing him playing today- or not playing as he'd likely be suspended for most of the time!) Rod Wallace Steve Moran ( gosh England must have had a wealth of striking talent in the early 80's since he was never capped) Terry Jenkins
chrisobee Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Jermaine Wright Darren Powell Chris Makin Oh please, this is a serious discussion !!

Mmmm!!! We had uncapped LB's like Steve Mills, David Peach, Mark Dennis and even Micky Adams and you've picked Frannie? Very strange!!
Dimond Geezer Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 did you mean Dennis Hollywood or Mark Dennis? Psycho, I'm far too young to remember Dennis Hollywood.
OldNick Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Mmmm!!! We had uncapped LB's like Steve Mills, David Peach, Mark Dennis and even Micky Adams and you've picked Frannie? Very strange!!I know the standard of English international football has been poor but!!!

Ah, yes, good point. I was thinking about Fernandes. What a downhill career he's had since then... How about George Clawley for GK then? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Clawley
WestSaint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Jimmy Melia - saw him head a goal once may years ago - Milton Road end For those who can't remember him, he was a little bald headed midfielder of ours who took a lot of stick from the crowd - but was loved really !!!

Indeed I can still remember "his" chant : " Jimmy Melia's got no hair ee i ee i o !" Not very original of course but still amusing. By the way Jimmy heading the ball was a rarity never mind scoring !!
Smirking_Saint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I was never capped ??? I could have played better than the majority, even with a dodgy knee.
1976_Child Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Just take three from the Chapel, three from the Kingsland, three from the Itchen and three from the Northam. have a lottery system. Be quite fun.
