St Chalet Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1701519,00.html Sad to hear, a Saints Legend.
the scud Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Thanks for everything you have done and good luck for the future
70's Mike Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Top player a man whose absence was a major part of our decline
Glasgow_Saint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 thought he retired already? is he planning another "i'm back" T-shirt?
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Top player a man whose absence was a major part of our decline Agree
70's Mike Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Wow, he signed 7 years ago today. the last 4 of which have been a nightmare
scott_saints Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 I find it more sad that a takeover thread about a random rumour would probably be on page 3 by now. Cheers though Killer!
Dimond Geezer Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Good luck and thanks Killer. The last of our Prem players now gone
Islander Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Much appreciation for everything and good luck in the future.
The9 Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Top bloke for his honesty and loyalty to the club through all of this, deserves better than bowing out with us in this kind of state. Is that the last link with the Prem side gone now then ?
Colinjb Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Sadly innevitable, but his frankly heroic efforts to fight those injuries deserve the respect of all Saints fans, this is a man who risked his health and sanity to try and get back playing for us. Hope he stays with us in a coaching capacity. Maybe he could manage us one day? Shades of Clough in what has happened to him as a player....
Hatch Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Good Player for us, and thanks and all that. Not a legend though, not by a long way.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 A fantastic player though sadly inevitable, as colin says above his heroic efforts to get beat the injuries and get back playing was remarkable and heroic - a true Saints icon Good Luck Killer
Saintjersey Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Such a legend, thank you for everything you did for us. You really could have hung your boots up a long time ago, instead you fought for years to be fit in an attempt to play for us once again. I just hope the club can reward you in some sort of way (like giving you a coaching role). Thanks again Killer!
Bailey Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 A bit more about Killer on the OS now . . . Michael Svensson gallery: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10280~1700772,00.html Killer's titanic struggle: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1702074,00.html
Evo Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 He was, and is, a legend! No slagging off on here so far either! Long may it continue
Nutwood2 Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 One of the Saints all-time greats. Stick with us Killer and show them how to do it!
Arizona Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 the last 4 of which have been a nightmare Try 5 and a half. Amazing to thing a player could become legendary based on 1 1/2 years playing for a club. Top player though, we really missed ever since the injury. Only Davies has come close to replacing him. Not exactly surprise of the century he has retired, but all the best anyway Killer.
Deanovski Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 amazing guy got the team to sign a shirt and card for my 18th top chap. good luck.
S4INT Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 Last player left from the FA Cup Final - what a great day that was :] Thanks for a few years of the best centre-back pairing in the Premiership Michael
Window Cleaner Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 At last, should never have tried to come back last season. He was finished but still insisted that he wasn't ,f*cked us over good and proper and left us with just the totally talentless Lancashire to depend on. We might have been able to get someone like Saejis earlier if he hadnt tarted us about.Mind you the management should have told him nice try but no thanks last summer as well so not all his fault.
Saint_clark Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 A great icon but not a legend, IMO that would rank him up there with Bates, Le Tissier, Paine and Channon which isn't right.
skintsaint Posted 25 June, 2009 Posted 25 June, 2009 quite scary for a ginger... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/javaImages/fc/a9/0,,10280~6203900,00.jpg Cheers for the season and a half of great service !
