What cost for the delays in the deal???

The Season Starts on the 8/8/09 :-

to date

no season tickets sold

players/staff/fans in limbo

the clock is ticking....

surely the FL negotiations should have been sorted weeks ago.... there was a 21 day exclusivity period and time before that period to sort things. This is turning into another massive mess..... I applaud the guy for his efforts but just hope that they are not in vain.

the fl things were originally agreed, but the fl then changed it last week which is why its dragging on so long, i don't think its ruined the players have only been back a few days and training, its not the best start but not a disaster

Of course the pre season isn't wrecked. It's far too early to be buying players anyway because we don't want to be paying their wages yet.

Drama Queen ;)

Sometimes;);)

....just want it sorted.... its like buying a bloody house and you know once the solicitors get involved it will take for ever........ we need a solid pre season with the new owners/management team having as much time as possible to hit the ground running.... i'm not normally a doom and gloom merchant but just feel that every day this drags on will cost us in the new season!

Yes, the pre-season has beem wrecked.

Not only are we starting at least 10points behind the others, we havent got any sort of recognisable management structure or squad.

The shadow of Rupert Lowe still blights this club...

Its not even July yet. There are still capable people at the club taking the players through light training and starting to build their fitness back up, just like if we had a manager and owner.

i suppose the issue is will there be the motivation, other than to keep fit because another club might come in for you, from the training staff

You would hope that there are professionals and doing the work, either in the hope of being ready for the something good that may happen here or to be more attractive in the transfer market.

but you know from watching the team over the years that they are not always as fit as they should be, being a professional means nothing .

WGS worked them hard GB did not.

the players will only respond to the leadership they get in the real world

With the players training, matches planned and everything else going ahead as normal, I don't see that there's an issue at the moment. It's not like they're all sitting at home wolfing down pies and watching daytime tv instead of doing fitness and training...

Pre-season only becomes a problem on July 1st if the out-of-contract players we'd expect to be playing for us decide to leave and join someone else, leaving the squad understrength - and who could blame them at the moment ?

Nigel Pearson was only announced as the manager of Leicester on the 20th June and the season started a day later...so by my reckoning that would put us a full four days behind them. And as we all know Nigel Pearson (Football Genius) masterminded the greatest title victory in League One history...

Don't panic guys...if we get the right guy in it will all be cool...

Get the players in at the weekends...Call in phil and nick...on second thoughts they are only marginally better than JP and Mark boyzz....

Down to the Marine Barracks near me....There is a Colour Sgt. who will bring them up to a level in order to start training for the football season. I will supervise on behalf of the forum updates etc..

Oooh, oooh, except Kevin Keegan with Fulham...

Last year??? .....

Looked pretty solid to me. Managers in place from the first friendly, lots of games against crappy teams who we barely beat, ending with a draw with Prem opposition a week or two behind us in preparation. Other than the John/Rasiak/Saga, er, sagas, it didn't seem too "wrecked" to me.

Yes my tongue was firmly planted in my cheek there...

Unlike those who still heart NP...who plant their tongue between his arse cheeks...

Still thought we've been through the fact that Fulham weren't in "League One" at that stage...

Does it matter that we haven't sold any STs? We will sell the same amount no matter how long they are available.

are you sure? The longer this goes on the more chance people will have had to spend the cash or decide to other things such as getting a golf club membership or maybe playing saturday league...

Isn't administration brilliant?

off to Florida in 3 weeks , if money had gone on Season Tickets (3) then i could have told missus no you cannot have that because we do not have the money, she knows we have a grand in the bank that should not be there.

Not so I'm afraid. You can bet your ass that as time goes on people's positions and sympathies will change. Uncertainty is something you cannot allow to continue.I don't understand the hold-up personally, sounds like horse crap to me.

But if we have to sign up to SFC being in admin that means we can't come out without a CVA and a bigger points deduction might ensue.

I'm worried about the fact that a number of players are out of contract very soon and will just leave if nobody has taken over
