JustMike Posted 6 July, 2009 Author Posted 6 July, 2009 I'm in. Well done for organising the league. JustMike Posted 6 July, 2009 Author Posted 6 July, 2009 *edit* Team changes are unlimited until the start of the 1st Test at 11:00 BST on Wednesday 8th July. After that, you can make up to four team changes between each match, and they will come into effect in time for the following match. doesnt say anything about points being deducted.

chrisobee Posted 6 July, 2009 Posted 6 July, 2009 Maybe I was hoping it would be a takeover free zone TBH !!
mynameisthehulk Posted 6 July, 2009 Posted 6 July, 2009 I was hoping it would be a takeover free zone TBH !! It was only a little in joke, will be good for a bit of banter once we get started I think. Having looked at the scoring system, I have made some serious changes to my team.

Huffton Posted 6 July, 2009 Posted 6 July, 2009 Another pending application here. Bet I come bottom by a long way.
JustMike Posted 7 July, 2009 Author Posted 7 July, 2009 have just accepted 2 others..should be quite good now :-)
chrisobee Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Someone has picked Hauritz! Yes, he might play especially with Lee injured. However, unless he improves dramatically he is likely to lose points, then again he might prove to be Shane Warne Mach 2 . Someone likes gambling!
chrisobee Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 have just accepted 2 others..should be quite good now :-) Yes, good. Less chance of coming bottom !
Saintjersey Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Yes, he might play especially with Lee injured. However, unless he improves dramatically he is likely to lose points, then again he might prove to be Shane Warne Mach 2 . Someone likes gambling! If he becomes Shane Warne Mach 2, I will quit watching cricket forever.
mynameisthehulk Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 If he becomes Shane Warne Mach 2, I will quit watching cricket forever. More chance of becoming Peter Such MK II
JustMike Posted 7 July, 2009 Author Posted 7 July, 2009 wow 15 in the league now, and all from here :-)
saintwarwick Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Someone has picked Hauritz! Me, I took a gamble and Australia have a habit of picking winning players so I thought I'd give him a chance.
mynameisthehulk Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Me, I took a gamble and Australia have a habit of picking winning players so I thought I'd give him a chance. Have you seen him?
chrisobee Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 wow 15 in the league now, and all from here :-) Well it is the TSW league Mike
chrisobee Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I'm in. Well pending anyway Ah, Mikey will sort you out in the morning no doubt ! Now 17, still must be a few more of the regular cricket posters who aren't in, the more the merrier. I'm just disappointed the Buzzin' pest is not in, guaranteed to be in last place !
saintwarwick Posted 8 July, 2009 Posted 8 July, 2009 Have you seen him? Has Ponting or the Australian cricket selectors seen him?

chrisobee Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 Flip, Swann, Broad and Flintoff cost me 110 points which suggests bowlers could be a liability
Saint In Exile Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 Not bad.... Top despite Flintoff costing -29 points and Cook -4 and 0 from Clark who didn't play!!!!
Saintjersey Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 Swann and Broad let me down big style! I'm glad I chose Haddin over Prior in the end.
chrisobee Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 Swann and Broad let me down big style! I'm glad I chose Haddin over Prior in the end. Yep, I chose Haddin as well so got one thing right bearing in mind the chioces are limited!
chrisobee Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 Not bad.... Top despite Flintoff costing -29 points and Cook -4 and 0 from Clark who didn't play!!!! Yes, I saw that. In view of the wicket possibly a good thing if bowlers were not playing ( Swann, Broad and Flintoff). I was surprised Mitchell Johnson scored so many points ( 106) so glad I picked him but might need a rethink for Thursday !
Nellie Posted 12 July, 2009 Posted 12 July, 2009 With hindsight, my bowling attack of Flintoff, Broad, Siddle and Swann, may not have been the way forward.
saintwarwick Posted 13 July, 2009 Posted 13 July, 2009 (edited) Someone has picked Hauritz! I'm sure his six wickets helped me into second place Edited 13 July, 2009 by saintwarwick
