To put pressure on pinnacle also he has to be seen giving others chances.

Unless it's someone who has a staggering amount of money and will employ mlt as chairmen then I'm for it.

No, Mark Fry met Middle Eastern reps, i.e. Marc Jackson as per todays Echo.

 

Jackson last night confirmed that the consortium was engaging with Mr Fry to draw up a deal.

The rest of todays Echo has Steve Grant (City Lawyer) & Nick Illingsworth blasting the Football League.

 

Lynam meeting Wotte and players at Staplewood and addressing them.

 

Saints staff told they won't be paid unless takeover goes through.

 

Bournemouth couldn't appeal their -10 either.

 

Nick Illingsworth praising Pinnacle saying they have got Saints' best interest at heart.

Then later on they mention about Jackson last night confirming he engaged talks with Fry. He confirmed to the Echo last night, not that he held talks last night.

 

Although Jackson does go on to say "We have met with the administrator today. We are meeting as a group again tonight."

There should be a health warning about Jackson. All these poor Middle Eastern Businessman, reps, administrators, journalist etc etc, meeting him in good faith, only to realise afterwards they have wasted a few hours of there life on a fantasist.

Marc Jackson is a complete and utter waste of time. No one should give him a second glance. He is a complete fantasist and all those on here who give him any kudos whatsoever should hang their heads in shame. He is a pesky irritant getting in the way and the Echo is making a fool of themselves even mentioning the ridiculous thought of him fronting up a takeover.

 

Still waiting for Nickh's report back re his meeting from Bounemouth fans. Nick was very vocal in his support for Jackson but has said nothing since Friday. What's up Nick?

Duncan Im sorry i thought I had put it up on other threads. My friend when i mentioned MJ was immediately dismissive of him. He said that they were strung along for 2 months and at the last moment when needed the Saudi moneyman disappeared. His words were like yours of a fantascist, but he could not say for sure that there wasnt somebody there who let him down last minute. The same could of course could happen to TL and he would look like a fantascist as well.

Therefore i have indeed backed off from being fully supportive mainly due to that and also I was a bit annoyed that a bid was put in the day exclusivity was finished and didnt wish for Pinnacle to be derailed. Hearing from other people who know about the bid gives me confidence that he may have someone, and again state, for him to get to this stage in a very large takeover like SFC would cost him/his group many thousands. That makes it a very expensive hobby is if it just timewasting.

I am beginning to get very worried about all this. Solent read out a text they had received from Mr Lynam at 8:20am. Reading between the lines it seemed to me that unless the FL relent and allow the right of appeal, should the new owners wish to take up that option, then the purchase will not likely take place.

 

Then we have the Swiss? Where are they today? Have they cooled, assuming they were realistic bidders?

 

Now we have the MiddleEastern Businessman who Fry is reported to have had talks with last night and I have no doubt that is correct. Is Fry losing confidence in Pinnacle? Is their interest so flakey as to cause him to open up other avenues. If he was confident of the detail why not give Pinnacle an exclusivity extention. Appears to me Fry is a worried man and if he is worried we all have to be equally worried.

 

I hope I am wrong with all this and that following further talks with the FL today an agreement can be reached and, assuming the other legal matters with creditors has been sorted, we can move to completion tomorrow at the latest.

Pinnacle know that the FL cannot back down under any circumstances - not only was their decision technically OK and fair but there would also be chaos next season if we got our 10 points back. Every League 1 team that to be adversely affected by such a decision, in terms of relegation or promotion, would bring proceedings against the FL to have the decision annulled or to claim damages.

 

Pinnacle have said that they will not back down as a matter of principle - how ****ing ridiculous - all they are doing is setting the scene for a "justified withdrawal" from the takeover - they want out and to save face into the bargain.

 

Fry is damn right to be talking to other bidders ...

Ginge you are rightly behind Pinnacles bid as you loike myself want a club to support. I halso want Pinnacle to suceed for the same reasons but as I have said all along that is why we need MJ not to be all wind. If I was him and after taking all the abuse on here Id put 2 fingers up and say you dont deserve to be saved.Part of me wants him to win the bidding just so he can get his credibility back. Unless that happens he will always be the fall guy.

The Swiss are a strange one, whyt when Fry gave exclusivity did he put them to 1 side especuially a he said they were worth billions? Of course it was because Pinnalce offered more, but was he so sure of their ability to see it through. I got a lot of stick for my thread some weeks back for 'Fry fiddles while Rome burns' sadly it looks more and more apparent I could be right.How much of the clubs funds have been burned up in fees during that time?

We now cannot afford not to welcome any group with open arms, as long as they can come up with the goods we should embrace them,all in IMHO of course

Salz might just be warming up his car, the on the floor purchase and with us on -25 may be coming closer. Please Pinnacle put the pen to paper.

Why would Fry go to some alleged Middle Eastern Gent.....Any interested party or representative would make representation to Fry...Have I missed something..Not heard Fry running after others.....Shake rattle and roll....Sing us another one jacko.

 

Maybe it is unconnected after all....Fry just arranging his holiday with phil...
