Don't take the missus, specially if she is blonde the leering bunch of sweaty oiks (quite why i complain at them leering i don't know, i do it)

 

Thought it was ok though, 'tis f'n hot, they told me that in the hottest part of the year they had to put ice packs in the pool.

 

Generally thought they were a friendly bunch of people and at the market have quality 'fake' gear, make sure you haggle though or they will rip you off (this includes bars if there is a group of you they will offer a good deal)

 

I liked it, went to Gumbet (by bodrum) had a good time, reletively cheap, hot, sunny and both lively and relaxed.

Just got back from Kalkan last friday. Spent 2 weeks there on 4th visit. Superb place for couples with exellent rooftop restaurants. Not for partygoers however. Very frienly people stayed at the Samira hotel. Forty degrees plus for the two weeks.

Turkey is great,i like Gumbet and kemer= (expensive thou) Marmaris(turkish blackpool) Oilu deniz (very beautiful) but not as cheap as it was, but still cheaper than Spain!
