Interesting Statistic - Drinking

As a 17 year old who probably takes in on average 2000mls of alcohol in a year, which isn't much at all (so much so that I call myself a non-drinker) I am actually fairly humoured by the amount of fans to the facebook page of 'drinking'. IMO, the number of people who have gone through the time and effort to click the button that says 'become a fan of drinking' is a worrying figure for any do-gooders in this land.

1) Anyone want to take a guess at how many fans there are on the facebook 'drinking' page (without cheating)?

2) As a second question to this drink related thread, if you are ALONE, and HAPPY, would you drink the Orange & Passion Fruit J20, or Fosters? (if they were say the only 2 choices)

EDIT: Answer available at this link (Q1) - http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Drinking/36047656472?ref=nf (posting the answer will ruin the fun...)

anyone who even knows that such a drink as orange & passion fruit J20 even exists might as well be dead IMO, seeing as that sounds about as faggoty as you can get.

I really don't think that 0.2% (being generous with my figures) really implies anything to be honest.

What's a ml? I only deal in pints.

1) Who cares?

2) Foster's is complete cack, but has alcohol. So that.

Fosters is great. Otherwise I agree.

Why do they always try to make things sound so much worst than they actually are by making it in mls? If you were trying to work the other way you wouldn't add it up in gallons and say oh well, what's the big fuss about!

Oh, and on this subject. I agree - young people do drink too much. However I prefer that to them taking drugs. It's absolutely insane how many of my friends do drugs and how few minutes during their day they're actually sober. Their friends and their friends are at it too. Random drug searches by the police more often than not find something. Ranging from the age of 14-27 its totally ridiculous how the problem has got so big so quickly. I think this country needs to step up a notch against drugs, cigarettes and alcohol if it's going to do anything at all.

It's a time bomb... Liver disease remains one of the top five killer diseases and the only one still on the rise.

In my day it was billy and pills, with acid now and then, and lots of draw. Now it's coke and strong skunk. I don't think things are any worse now though as most people grow out of it. Heroin remains the real problem.

I think less people grow out of things than they used to! Hope you're right though.

I assume by mls, you mean actual alcohol? So I guess a 1l bottle of vodka at 37.5% would have 375mls of alcohol in it? Though that doesn't make it sound like much at all.

And thesaint sfc, I always though it was crazy the statistics they threw around about drug use in people my age(16 years), but now I've reached it, it is actually true. The amount of people I know who do it(and I'm talking everyday for some) is crazy.

Kind of my point. When I was 16 all my friends did it. Now I'm 19 - they all still do it. Since leaving school I mix with mostly people older than me and they're all at it - however I've got some friends younger than you and they're doing it too!

mmmmmmmm, and I gotta wonder where they get all the money from.

I'd love to do it but don't know any teenagers to get it from, so I have to stick to beer.
