Anyone else starting to think this whole points deduction ******** is being used as a potential excuse to bail out of the deal?

I fail to see what difference it makes if they want to buy the club or not. Naturally starting with minus 10 hinders you somewhat but not as much as starting with a crap squad, no manager, no season tickets, no board etc etc. Those are the things which are more damaging.

These guys have had months now and should know everything there is to know about the club, its books and its positions.

So i thik it is time now to put up or shut up. We all want you to takeover the club but don't fob us off saying you won't sign due to the points deduction.

Spot on,these delays are going to be more detrimental to this coming season than the -10 points.

The mere fact that Crouch has been involved shows that Pinnacle and Tony Lynam are deceiving us, deceiving Fry and deceiving the League. This is an identical scenario of Crouch and Co spinning us out for weeks on end that a deal was forthcoming, then handing over to Lowe and Wilde. Mark my words, this deal is one almighty FRAUD. Get on with the other offers Mark Fry and as for us supporters we are going to get no news for weeks now.

I thought I was depressed at no deal this evening!

I thought the same thing.

I couldn't help feeling that South Today was trying to belittle the Pinnacle bid. Talked of Pinnacle being a 2 man operation established just 2 years ago and working out of a shared office. They showed a shot of a first floor bay window giving the impression it was a small concern.

Also referred to Tony Lynam as being "Irish born" - I didn't realise that although you could hear it in his accent.

I think it has been widely stated that TL was irish. First time I had heard Steels name, and i thought it said 4 years but could be wrong.Showing their office in a shared building put it into perspective of not being a massive operation, if was from another person spoken about on here it would be really scoffed at.

Saying all that i still have faith in them as MLT would NOT do anything to risk the club he cares for.

Time for brinkmanship is over, the FL hold the cards for our survival and the fans are behind the new people so they are quids in as they made the lesture and we should be happy by that.

Eh? Can I ask why it is deceiving us, fry and the league? Just because we havent seen the director listing for company doesnt mean that FRY and The FL havent? Im guessing that Leon is involved and if he is then he league would have known when they receieved the director listing last week and then done their "fit and proper" means testing. Just because we dont know what is going on doesnt mean it is a fraud.

Dont people think now Pinnacle need to reveal who is behind them, they are losing trust quickly well it seems on here.....anyone can say they have a multi million pound man behind them BUT SAY WHO HE IS NOW, why isnt he speaking making announcements. Im doubting who is backing them and maybe if he even exists....

The most important thing to come out of that peice on South Today were Tony Lynams words:

"We will be buying the club"

and

"It will mean a compromise from either ourselves or from the League"

so there is our answer, the deal is NOT dependant on the 10 points, and Pinnacle want the club with or without -10 points.

Firstly, shut up ART. ;)

Secondly, ******** to the League, whether we sign their 'waiver' or not, we should challenge those bastards right to the very end. How unethical can you be to refuse someone their right to appeal?

Old fuddy-duddies trying to justifyi their over-inflated salaries and egos by moving the goalposts and keeping themself busy in doing so.

Take 'em on, Tony. Take 'em on, SFC. Don't give in, don't. Set the precedent for an overhaul of the FL. Beat them.

Don't see what the big deal was about watching South Today, unless you were worried about that old lady's cat.

Nothing interesting about the deal Tony. Just the normal it hasn't happened yet.

Accept tha deduction. The crowd will be worth 10 points next season.

Have faith, Pinnacle and Tony Lynam have put a lot of work in and they aren't stupid. They wouldnt have paid a significant deposit if they hadn't considered that this might happen. Tony said himself "We will buy this club", so lets trust him. He just wants the best deal possible as anyone would in his situation.

Put your (or whoevers) money where your mouth is and sign on the dotted line then, Tony.

We don't have time to fight the FL, they won't let us win, so get on with it so we can the manager situation sorted and prepare for Millwall.

I have had a quick chat with a friend at the club and was very confident it is going ahead soon.I asked if that was down to TL's statement and was told no.

All very relaxed about things, surprising as its their living

To be fair to the league, the rules about administration were there when Rupert decided it would be a good idea a week after the deadline.

Don't be angry with the league, be angry with the useless Lowe and Wilde. What a pair of useless w*nkers.

The -10 appeal thing is not a big deal in itself but it does effect the price of the club so it would mean changes to the deal so will add time.

Fry has to do all he can to get the best price so will make sure this 10 point thing gets pushed as far as possible.

I am starting to come around to this way of thinking too. This whole thing is becoming a little farcical and Pinnacle are starting to lose my confidence. Now is the time for them to come into the open, tell us who the money man is, stump up the cash and let's get cracking. Too much talk not enough action from TL.

The BBC clearly cut a lot of his interview too. They put a very negative spin on the story and clearly some fans seem to have believed it - but the bottom line is that TL said they want the club and that they will back down in the League don't!

Im not saying he's poor and dont care if he is but if you showed Marc jacksons office as those and he was the front i doubt he'd get the slack others were giving Pinnacle. It is MLT's presence that makes the difference. All these things are perception, and the perception perhaps fairly unfairly would be of smalltime. No offence to the people intended of course

Can someone please take shorthand and let me know as I live aoutside the south Today area. The headline in my parish is "Cat still stuck in tree - exclusive interview to follow".

Any news on the cat? Getting worried. Hope it's allright. I mean, it must be cold up in that tree. Getting dark soon too. Must be hungry too. Poor little thing. We had a cat once and......

the person who should have sorted all this out is fry. he should have contacted the league to make sure he knew what he was selling right from the start, a club on minus 10 or a club that had the potential to start on 0 points

Not just MLT's but that also of the backer worth "hundreds of millions" I like the way TL has gone about things and has worked very hard on it all. Its not his fault the league are being tossers over this.

I did too, thought he did alright tonight. To be honest, he knows as much as us, and as a fan is just in limbo currently.

*shock* - Shows how far alot of us have come since the Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Lowe again debacle - Phew, it's all over!

And I actually agree with Wade Garrett, who blasted Lowe and Wilde. This was on the horizon in March, it was very evident that we were only going one way... so we should have gone into admin before the deadline. There could, however, been other perumatations and until we know the real facts, we'll never know for sure whether Lowe or Wilde mismanaged that situation.

Yep add me to that list....I have had that worry since Friday. There is something that doesn't add up in this.

There is plenty out there of history on previous clubs getting points through admin...how many have actually won an appeal?

None of this is new despite the 48 hour line.

Enough bull just put up or move aside or is this the new plan....to get gazumped and try and save face?

Losing faith in the position of the moon art.

Mate, we are all chewing our fingernails and sick to the back teeth of not knowing if our club is going to survive or not, but your post goes way to far when calling it an almighty fraud.

If the deal does break down then vent off, but that has not happened yet. Give MLT some sort of credit, he would not be involved in anything that contained in it no hope.

Exactly, not only relegating us twice, Lowe wasn't even capable of taking the club into administration properly.

For the sake of a few days he has ****ed up next season and possibly killed the club.

****ing useless ****.

I'm starting to agree with this. Its just gone on far too long. Any other club would have tied this up by now - Saints fans are ever so patient. I just have a horrible feeling that the Pinnacle deal is not what most fans hope it is and the backer of the deal is now looking to get out. I hope I am wrong. At least the other bidders can now enter the frame so a resolution - for better or worse - will happen soon.

fair enough but the big difference for me is that mark jackson is a tit and a dreamer

I Also Agree That This Is Starting To Become A Right Farce And I Would Rather That TL, MLT etc Should Just Take The -10 Points Rather Than Have No Club At All And I For One Am Confident That TL And That Will Eventually Take The Club Over And The FL Will Back Down And We Can Get On With The Season And Do The Talking On The Pitch :D :p ;)!

I do not have anything against Illingsworth but when Solent appeared to cut Tony Lynam off and all but be-littled Pinnacle , they then introduced NI of the Saints Trust, that just antagnosed me as I want to hear actual facts on what is /is not happening. Not listening to the speculation and conjecture from Illingsworth..

"He states he spoke to some fans. What his mates PM RC and CF?

Also 70/s Mike I think if solent had spoken to me, I would have come across as being very angry with the farce that is currently being played out.

Anyway I did my bit with the media a few years back when we were seeking to move to St Mary's . My media days are long behind me Thank F***

This worries me too. What possible reason could there be for Mr Big to remain a mystery man UNLESS he's someone who will either split the fanbase, be unpopular or not exist?

The longer this goes on the more sceptical I feel.

I also think it's scandalous that Worthing Council threatened to prosecute the lady for putting up posters asking for info about her missing Siamese. What is the world coming to?
