BotleySaint Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Come on!! Why the cat story ahead of the saints?!
RonManager Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Can someone please take shorthand and let me know as I live aoutside the south Today area. The headline in my parish is "Cat still stuck in tree - exclusive interview to follow".
OldNick Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 A frigging lost cat is ahead of the bit on Saints. Obviously a big story

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 'we're still at the table, we're still going to buy this club'
Give it to Ron Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 (edited) Can I be the first to say NI spoke a lot of sense for once. Edited 22 June, 2009 by Give it to Ron
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 What a ****ing joke this club is, anyone else would have doen the deal up on friday, but not Saints, we have to do everything the fukkin hard way. What a crock of shyte.
SaintNeil90 Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 (edited) Why oh why oh why oh why do the media insist on speaking to that wannabe Nick Illingsworth! Edited 22 June, 2009 by SaintNeil90
saint_stevo Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Illingsworth on now, can barely speak, has some right scruffy clothes on
BotleySaint Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Basically sounds like its Thursday or bust. Whatever happens. Three days to go....
JustMike Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 didnt really tell us anything that we dont know already. It appears that thursady is deadline day as the players / staff will need paying
Smirking_Saint Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 So we can't appeal !! What a bunch of ****s, i take back everything i have said, send the emails, send the bloody dogs !!! How can you remove somebodies right of appeal.
OldNick Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 After seeing the bit on South Today and if you took MLT out of the equation you wouldnt be too impressed would you.TL says he's buying and so do it, we have no time for talk. It is odd how everytime it looks as though one of the bids is going to fail, Fry comes out and says he's got new interest.
fish fingers Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Basically sounds like its Thursday or bust. Whatever happens. Three days to go.... Or someone else pays £500k for a 21 day period and helps us pay the wages.
OldNick Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Can I be the first to say NI spoke a lot of sense for once.I was going to put that and so +1
Katalinic Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 After seeing the bit on South Today and if you took MLT out of the equation you wouldnt be too impressed would you.TL says he's buying and so do it, we have no time for talk. It is odd how everytime it looks as though one of the bids is going to fail, Fry comes out and says he's got new interest. Maybe Pinnacle are trying to re-negotiate with Fry - a club with -10 points is worth less than one with 0. Seems funny we suddenly have this new interest.....
70's Mike Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Why oh why oh why oh why do the media insist on speaking to that wannabe Nick Illingsworth! because they did not have your phone number
St Marco Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Anyone else starting to think this whole points deduction ******** is being used as a potential excuse to bail out of the deal? I fail to see what difference it makes if they want to buy the club or not. Naturally starting with minus 10 hinders you somewhat but not as much as starting with a crap squad, no manager, no season tickets, no board etc etc. Those are the things which are more damaging. These guys have had months now and should know everything there is to know about the club, its books and its positions. So i thik it is time now to put up or shut up. We all want you to takeover the club but don't fob us off saying you won't sign due to the points deduction.
Saint Charlie Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Come on Pinnacle just get it sealed we have a season to plan for....
bjk Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Just do the bloody deal and put an end to this neverending nightmare. What the hell have we all done to deserve this torture.
Saint Charlie Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4452386.League_decision_won_t_stop_Saints_deal/ Other quotes from TL. More positive.
Viking Warrior Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 I wish Illingworth would shut up. What a scruffy urchin. Watch the media hanger on every word Mr Illingworth has said. He states thursday is the new deadline day. So do we and the media have to go along with that? I have just got home from the final leg of my mamoth half way round the world jaunt to swith the tv on to hear the news.
Um Bongo Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 I'd rather get pinnacle take over the club and not being allowed to appeal the -10. Would be rather sweet if we got promoted at the end of the season with a nice big **** YOU to the FL.
Third Division South Days Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 If the ten points penalty had been appealed immediately the issue would possibly already have been resolved.
Marley Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 'we're still at the table' date=' we're still going to buy this club'[/quote'] 'Even if it means a compromise by one or other party' - let's hope so, and quickly.

gary r Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 i have hated the last 3 months, pinnacle seem to be okay people and i hope that they we come throughfor us all. .But i have a feeling this aint going to have a happy ending.
maxi_sopez Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 when will this all end, im so funking tired of it.....i really dont no if i could bare another 21 days if pinnacle pull out....!

Maybe if Pinnacle get their way, they could amend the club crest as Illingsworth is the true voice of the fans..........

It is odd how everytime it looks as though one of the bids is going to fail, Fry comes out and says he's got new interest. I thought the same thing. I couldn't help feeling that South Today was trying to belittle the Pinnacle bid. Talked of Pinnacle being a 2 man operation established just 2 years ago and working out of a shared office. They showed a shot of a first floor bay window giving the impression it was a small concern. Also referred to Tony Lynam as being "Irish born" - I didn't realise that although you could hear it in his accent.

Mole Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 I moments ago spoke to Tony to ask him the official line on the statement from the FL, saying nothing was offical and that SSN had said they will not budge. his reply was "There will be a piece on BBC South Today today at 18.30 explaining the position. We will be buying the club make no mistake about this. You are welcome to quote this on the forum" SO get in front of the telly people! Great news.
