It also made the claim that there would be nothing more than £5m investment from jacksons consortium. A total reliance on current youth players That won't be relevant then because it's stated in the Pink this weekend that the consortium which he has waiting in the wings is not the one that tabled the original offer!!! Mole Posted 21 June, 2009 Share Posted 21 June, 2009 Jackson is a time waster and is all talk (for the 13457364th time) The fact the Daily Echo are still printing his fantasies suggests they are struggling with news to print. This is good because it shows that the real players are acting professionally. I do think that the Echo need to be a bit more responsible though because they are doing a dis service to all concerned by running with his quotes. Panda Posted 21 June, 2009 Share Posted 21 June, 2009 I understand that the Football League will be reviewing the position on Monday in light of what we have discussed in private, so whilst it is perhaps easier to say, be patient, and don't "blame" the Football League nor Administrators, we all need to work together to achieve a successful outcome for all concerned. I clearly only care about one thing, putting the right people in charge of the Club. But we are all professionals and need to maintain our professionalism in order that this matter is resolved in a timely fashion - and it will be. I cannot work out why TL added this in his post yesterday? Do the FL have an issue with someone, who they want to put on the board? Interesting point! They would only take issue if someone had a bad financial record and directors of 'failed' companies some times get this if there are questions about how their company was trading before going in to administration. I guess Le Tiss would not have any issues like this, Jones may do I suppose having been the FD of he failed company. Crouch? Not a director at the time of admin for Saints and has only success it seems in his other businesses. I don't think this is the sticking point. This comment is surely a veiled answer to the wild speculation surrounding KK. He is saying the press or next doors window cleaner is not making this decision - we are and we have to get it right. mattyd Posted 22 June, 2009 Share Posted 22 June, 2009 Jones would not be an issue to the FL. The vetting process would cover whether the Director had traded the business in breach of the relevant insolvency laws and was likely to be subject to disqualification proceedings. They may also look at personal credit files to ensure that nobody is a current bankrupt and criminal records. Otherwise they would be fit.
