Nexstar Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 Are we still classed as in administration? If so don't we have to be out of it by a certain date (possibly June 21st?) or we get a further 15 point deduction? Or have i got it completely wrong? Fan The Flames Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 Sorry Whitey but this is the whole point. The Football League is a Members Club. They can impose whatever rules they like, and there is nothing you can do about it. You either abide by their rules or you are not a member, simples. If and its a big if, the 10 point deduction is the sticking point then I have to admit that I think Pinnacle have been naive at best. The penalty will not be overturned, unless the FL want it to be. Pinnacle should forget it, get on with the takeover and just get round it by ensuring we win enough games to get promotion. My suspicion is that there is more to this though than the 10 point deduction. I certainly hope so. I don't that is the case, there is recourse in law even to members club. You have, for instance, the court for sports arbitration, which seeks to intervene to avoid a full court case. I believe the decision to deduct us the points was based around; deduct us and one team could take legal action against the FL, dont deduct us and lots of clubs could take legal action against them. Either way the rediculousness of the deduction rules will be exposed. They are now trying to convieniently bury a problem they have created and avoid having their authority deminished. If their deduction is solid they should let it stand up to scrunity. The football league is wrong on so many levels, if they endanger this take over they should hang their heads in shame. I would have thought that a members club ruling could be challenged by appealing to the European Court.
