miserableoldgit Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 They're going to send out staff?? Perhaps they`re going to hand deliver the ticket info?
buctootim Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Yep, he has no asset to protect any more. He's probably as glad that his association with us is over as we are. And there we finally agree!
SaintRichmond Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 If you cant work it out and have it explained to yuo time and again its not worth the effort. And if you, and others CANNOT see that he will be back once a chance presents itself ......... then I agree, it is not worth the effort:cool: PS .... exactly WHAT has been explained to me ???? ..... that in YOUR opinion, Lowe has gone forever ??? .... You ARE entitled to your opinion ........ I do not share it. Simples
pele Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Lowe tried destroying this club....forget him he is HISTORY. From the ashes of this graet club we will rise phoenix like through the leagues......maybe!
SaintRichmond Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Yep, A) he has no asset to protect any more. B) He's probably as glad that his association with us is over as we are. A) He has "assets" to recover if at all possible B) Can't recall him saying that Mind you, when he was Ousted first time, I do recall him saying he wouldn't be back ........ ........ it must have been a slip of his forked tongue .........
Block 5 Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 I have heard rumours that Lowe is involved in one of the bids. I personally think he has some unfinished business at our club and at least we know we would have someone in charge that can run the finances well. And before you all start, he did ok until Crouch got involved!! Get off our forum you plank.
SFKA South Woodford Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Really ???? ......... Unless of course, they are associated with a "takeover" bid ......... Make no mistake ..... Lowe is still around.......... And so be Satan, Bigfoot, the Abominable snowman and the Loch Ness monster!!!! I guess you have proof of these?
Saints foreva Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Hopefully we get takenover next week by a decent consortium. Bournemouth away next week would be a nightmare if we got someone who is a complete joke or no takeover at all....
SaintRobbie Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Hopefully we get takenover next week by a decent consortium. Bournemouth away next week would be a nightmare if we got someone who is a complete joke or no takeover at all.... Agreed. I think its time to put Fry under pressure if he doesnt deliver soon. We no longer have the luxury of time if we want to appoint a decent manager, assess the team and buy and sell in order to make a challenge for a play off place. Leave this takeover any longer with everything else in place and I think we're in another relegation battle next season. Come on Fry... deliver.
*Halo* Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 And if you, and others CANNOT see that he will be back once a chance presents itself ......... then I agree, it is not worth the effort:cool: PS .... exactly WHAT has been explained to me ???? ..... that in YOUR opinion, Lowe has gone forever ??? .... You ARE entitled to your opinion ........ I do not share it. Simples As a relatively detached observer of the long running battles between some of the 'personalities' in the various 'camps' on this message board (and it's previous incarnations), I don't usually get involved in such 'wars of words'. I'm not in a 'camp', personally. I believe that all who've been in 'power' at our Club over the last 10 years or so have to take responsibility for their parts in the demise of this great Club. They've all made mistakes, and all carry a share of the blame for where we find ourselves today. Thing is though SaintRichmond, you don't do yourself any favours in the manner in which you present yourself here. As you rightly state above, all are entitled to their opinions, and all are entitled to disagree with them. On this issue of Rupert Lowe however, whether or not you intend to do so, you consistently present your opinion that he "WILL" return, "make no mistake" etc, as though it were irrefutable fact, and it is this, that seems to me to really get people's backs up and invites the criticism that you seem to receive rather frequently here. Perhaps if you were able to tone down the manner in which you present your personal opinions as though they were nailed down facts, you may find that people are more inclined to treat you with greater respect, and listen to what you have to say? Nothing personal my friend, just a neutral observation. Take it or leave it as you wish.
David Strover Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Halo, I bet someone posts on here accusing you of being a 'wishy-washy, knitted cardigan wearing, liberal'. Well balanced, intelligent, suggestions are not welcome in some quarters!

Well balanced, intelligent, suggestions are not welcome in some quarters! Lol, that is quite possible, although the beauty of developing an ability to not take such things personally, is that such comment would be received with detached indifference anyway. It would not even warrant a response. I don't care for arguments, labels, and endless blame-games. I just care about Southampton Football Club, and the sooner this takeover can be completed, and we can put all the bitter divides of the past behind us, the better. Anyway, I'd better save my last post in case anything of significance occurs at some point today. I live in hope.

SaintRichmond Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 I was listening to the station at the same time. They did indeed say we'll know "who Fry chooses" on Monday morning. seeing as they broadcast from St. Marys, you'd think if any radio station was ITK, it would be them. Governed no douby by who employed Begbies Traymor ......
RinNY Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 A) He has "assets" to recover if at all possible B) Can't recall him saying that Mind you, when he was Ousted first time, I do recall him saying he wouldn't be back ........ ........ it must have been a slip of his forked tongue ......... Can you spell "obsession"?? Lowe is history, as far as SFC is concerned. Part of that history was good (SMS, Cup Final), part obviously not so good (relegation, administration, relegation). But it's done with, and you're crazy to think he'll be back. Of the whole crowd of folk associated with the debacle that is Saints' history of the past 5 years, the only one who seems at all likely to play a future role at the club is Crouch, and with all due respect to him as a fan who has been willing to put his hand in his pocket for the club, I'd rather see a totally new broom. No Lowe, Crouch, Wilde, Askham, Cowen, Richards, Jones (the finance director): in short nobody who has held a position of responsibility at the club over the past 5 or 6 years, and I think that's what'll happen. At most I coulsd see Crouch and Jones hanging on in some capacity, but Lowe?? Not in a million years. For what it's worth, I hope we don't get any re-tread manager either, not even if it's WGS. Second time around rarely works well, in my view; let's leave the past, the past. A fresh new SFC under new ownership, directorship, management. That's my desire, and what I see coming out of this process if indeed Saints do get taken over and so survive.

Very naughty!
SaintRobbie Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Lol John! Was it driving on a road around the place from a to b, or... was it in and out of SMS? If the former, I'd like to point out I saw a Rolls Royce on the M3 heading South near Woking.

John McAndrew Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 where as an enzo and even more an FXX are....if it was an FXX there are only 3 or so leagal road going cars in the world and MS owns 1 of them....and if it WAS? an fxx without stripes then there is only one....model number 30 which was given to MS when he retired....so maybe MS is in southampton shopping then because no one saw hem leave or enter the stadium....i dont know but as i said it could have been an enzo

trousers Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 This Ernesto Bertenilli seems to tick a lot of boxes. Is he still wanting to buy as roma ? I posted links to him last week....check out why Roma rejected his advances.....it'll sound familiar....
SaintRobbie Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 I posted links to him last week....check out why Roma rejected his advances.....it'll sound familiar.... ooo... got a link Trousers?
Clifford Nelson Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Arguably, we were also stuffed the minute that we jettisoned Pearson and appointed JP and Wotte in his place. All is conjecture about what might have been, but what actually happened is a fact. The one bright side is that Lowe, Askham and others from the old board have lost all of their share value and therefore have no further influence or power over our future. It remains to be seen whether we will be taken over by people with serious money to invest in us, but if that comes to pass, then that is a further massive plus, as it will be the first time that we will have owners with serious money. The end that got us here, might yet well justify the means. If you sit down and divide the points gained with the amount of games played for Pearson and Wotte (and then remember that Wotte had a team full of kids) you will be surprised to find that Wotte's record is the better one. It might be surprising, him being foreign and all that, but it's true.

OldNick Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 Such hypocrisy from the man who wrote this nickh im going to salisbury races tonight and like most htings I know sweet fa about it. Any tips?I got a lucky 16-1 winner and your tips???? Lol
wightman35 Posted 4 July, 2009 Posted 4 July, 2009 I seem to have been following this thread for years and we still are not "THERE" yet. All this hoping, speculation and waiting for confirmation of a real takeover by wealthy investors is leaving me just a little unbalanced:rolleyes: After 12 years of failure to add investment, fiascos like SISU and myths like P Allen, let alone twice relegation, we deserve some good news, dont we? PLEASE!

Can you give us the exact figures for each manager then, as I seem to remember seeing ones quoted which showed the exact opposite. Thanks in advance.
