Weston Saint Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 Hopefully this is the clearest indication that the Swiss/ANOther bid is near completion. Both the liars are looking to save face knowing full well that they will never have to carry it through. Jackson couldn't get out quick enough when Pinnacle failed, his story about 'being rushed' is pure Jackson bullsh*t. Lynam and Fialka are just bullsh*tters full stop. I might get my name in the Echo tomorrow to say I have got a consortium of local businessmen to step in if need be. It would have as much substance as anything the tyre kickers have said.If you do put in a bit I bet it would end up a damp squib.

dubai_phil Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 Don't know if it would help but here's how I see timelines working. A bidder is interested, signs an NDA and proves funds probably happened Monday/Tuesday when Pinnacle finally pulled out The bidder gets access to all the old confidential data and reports and accounts He/She/It makes a value they think it is worth They offer that to Fry who probably puts the phone down They then use the secret communication link to keep Fry's ego intact and haggle A price is agreed Fry slams the phone down A structure is agreed (using the secret comms link) - ie how much is cash and how much is "deferred" They get to sit down probably with Dave Jones with the up to date cash flow analysis (and then run away screaming IT'S HOW BAD!!) They get to dig out any snippets They start to make their own accurate business plan They meet/interview existing employees to see who stays or goes They change their business plan They transfer the money - which IF it is coming from overseas can take a long time due to UK anti-money laudering rules They pull out That would take a minimum of 7 days from start to finish Which means next Monday/Tuesday at the earliest, longer if they want to have a new manager lined up Which, in plain English is my way of saying - I'm very confident that today will also be a good day for MB to watch the bikinis and the rest of us to watch Andy Murray do a Henman and let us down again (Oh and it should be a Pimms day today Thorpie, not a Guinness!) It also means that if anyone wants to know what is going on now we seem to have NDA's holding firm (Thank Fook) then stalk Dave Jones
Seany S Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 Was just going to give Master Bates mad props for use of "flid". That is a proper old school playground insult, fond memories of using that during my halcyon schooldays. Will be making an effort to use it on my mates over the weekend, particularly whilst playing cricket. saint_stevo Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 In all sincerity, I am very happy that it appears that Guided Missile and Saint Stevo have been proved right! I have had a number, a large number, of instances of being wrong in my life, largely due to the large size of my mouth and the small size of my brain, but, given my deep love for Southampton Football Club, my passion, on this occasion, swamped my judgement. That judgement seems to have been wrong and Mr. Fialka and his North London friends don't appear to have access to the £14M that will save our club, together with an invisable investment plan that will help put the club back in the Premiership. I apologise, unreservedly to Mr. Missile and Mr. Stevo for the abuse that I have posted and hope that by supporting the club when it is taken over, I will be able to make amends. Finally, I was made aware that I called Mr. Missile a "attention seeking troll". This deeply upset one of our posters who is married to a black lady and has mixed race children. He believes that that comment makes me the worst type of racist, one that didn't know he was one. I am very sorry to him and to Mr. Missile if they found the term offensive and racist. Please forgive me in the future for any words I use that also rhyme with offensive terms. I hope that in the spirit of reconciliation, all those that thought Mr. Missile and Mr. Stevo were "Trolls" join me in apologising.... Perhaps I should start my own humble pie thread.........mmmmmmmmmm....... I wonder! Why thank you. And not a hint of Irony at all......seems you are the only one tho! I'm confident of a Monday 11am announcement. This is only imo. With a press release/statement today saying things are looking up blaah blaah blaah Oh, and flid comes from the German drug that was used in the 60's to help calm the side effects of pregnancy. Dog Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 (edited) Think about this for one minute. Mark Fry who works for Begbies Traynor, wouldn't want the club to be taken over in the first week, of course it will go to the last hour if it has to. These companies (BT) are proffesional crooks, who make an absolute fortune on everyday phonecalls, faxes, texts, meetings, lunch and other bu!!sh!t events that bleed our football club and every suffering business that unfortunatly goes into administration. I would love to see what BT have charged so far for all their legal work, I would guess a few million pounds. If someone can find out what Begbies Traynor charge and post it, we will all have a very different opinion on Mark Fry and his heroics. Edited 3 July, 2009 by Dog Happy now? Why thankyou Dog, some of us have been trying to point this out since day one. Not only is all of this in BT's best interests, it also fits entirely into the psych of a typical an Essex Barrow-Boy who made a buck from doing dodgy deals with the Essex Mafia. (But of course I am sure that description wouldn't apply to the partner of a major PLC so obviously that is a generalisation not an accusation). Drew & DMG were sold to pay the wages but the cost of buying the club goes up every week and the creditors get less.

More to the point though, even taking out the Fry-Up equation, anyone new coming in will be scared to death by the cash flow projections and will take at least a couple of days to build a new business plan. They will have to set a price for ST's, an expectation of worst case attendances and then set a playing squad budget, sharpen the knives and be ready to move on day one. 7 days from start to completion is highly unlikely IMHO, although announcement of a bid being accepted is possible earlier than that
NickG Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 remember Swiss were in due diligence and close to agreeing exclusivity prior to pinnacle, and pinnacles agreement ran out - was it 2 weeks ago? There has been plenty of time to sort a lot of it out - some of work would have been done for pinnacle and would not take as long.

Sorry, I was recalling an old tale I had heard in a bar down here from a "geezer" from Romford who was, amongst other things a bouncer at nightclubs and a tubular technician and purveyor of fine used equipment at auctions about an imaginary IP business in Southend that was eventually taken over by an imaginary PLC. Those of us who are shareholders, will probably receive a Statement of Affairs after the assets of SLH have been sold and SLH is liquidated. We shall then see the costs of the Administration. Should the Company be liquidated if BT cannot find a buyer, the same will apply.

Jackie@home Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 NickG, you are right from what I've been told -a consortium were hours away from exclusivity themselves and didn't think that Pinnacle had the finances in place to make a bid (correct!), which is why they were caught on the hop. Apparently been looking at us for 2 years. Whether they are the consortium that Fry is now closing in on a deal with is the same, I don't know - person who gave me the original info a couple of months ago has stayed sober during recent contact and frustratingly revealed nothing.
