Watching all of this situation that has been going on for all these weeks makes me feel as bad as I did

last week when my favorite cat had to be put to sleep.

The Vet did her best and my cat rallied a bit but in the end she went downhill very fast and so before her

cancer became too painful the Vet acted in my cats best interest.

I think that Saints time has finally come and Mark Fry should just pull the plug, all these so called prospective

buyers have had more than long enough to buy Saints and haven't so why prolong this pretence of having

serious buyers and end the agony of the creditors, staff and fans.

the difference is that there is not a lifesaving drug for your cat, where there is for a football club.

Lowe has been mentioned once or twice, my concern is that he may come in with backers on the 11th hour and pick us up on the cheap.

I have been voicing this fear for the last year. It's not unthinkable that he has poisoned the chalice enough for everyone to shy away leaving him as the main man.

If so then I'll not go to SMS while he's there.

First time I've said it but by golly I mean it.

Of course, what you should have done is boycotted your vet, until your cat got better...

Yup, if you want to look at that way. You are entitled to your opinion. But I have been saying this for over a year now. At least my opinion is consistent, even though I have always stated it's just a gut feeling.

If you have a problem with my opinion just stick me on ignore.

I couldn't give a flying duck!

I also said a number of months ago that he may have backers keeping their powder dry till the right time came about.

I dont put people on ignore as they all have ap art to play.

This RL thing returning is nonsense. At least at board level. He may well see us as a wonderful bargain and perhaps get a group together that would save us at the end of the day.If he came as part of a group and not involved at boardroom level would that make it easier. You have to remember that no board has done us any good in recent history (I myself have never been happy with any of them for 40years) I want the club saved and if it means RL being in the background I would stomach that.If he came back as part of the board then I would like yourself question my support.

why would someone buy a bankrupt club then appoint the person that bankrupted them back as chairman?

My gut feeling, voiced several times over the past year, was this.

Lowe to me seems spiteful and I could well see him getting the backing to do this. He wants control, total unquestioning control. So he tells his backers that they can get the club cheap if he can drive SLH into the ground. Yes he loses his shares but so do Wilde and Crouch, along with all the small investors. (The spite element) He then bides his time and leads a consortium, totally under his spell, into buying the club. He becomes chairman, on a good salary, and then at the end of the financial year gets 'rewarded' with a tax free bonus which would be at least equal to the value of his shares at the time of SLH collapsing.

At the time of voicing this I asked if it was possible that this could be done. I had no expert advice, or Lowe Luvvies, telling me that it couldn't!

It's feasible, but were it to happen then I and many others would go out of our way to boycott, protest and generally undermine his efforts. The club would continue to be disunited and his return would be another failure.

You must have been on the ESB to come up with that thought.

Mr Lowe will not be back I would have thought

That's true although i couldn't undermine his efforts actively because it is, after all, 'our club'. Boycott though? I certainly would.

Is this where your analogy falls down though: "The Vet did her best"...? ;)

Yes, I think for the analogy to hold he'd have to have taken his sick cat to the vet - who then told him he had the "revolutionary idea" of letting the tea lady carry out the much needed operation, aided by the paper-boy. It was the only way, there was no alternative - he was right, and everyone else (who disagreed) was an idiot.

This failed, and as the vet left for a spot of recreational duck hunting, taking absolutely no criticism whatsoever, he ran over the cat in his Range-Rover killing it off once and for all...

Ah ha, somebody spotted the first of the reasons to ask whether the administrator was doing the best he could to get a deal....

Yes obviously anyone with sense, but apparently Fry did not allow that in the stage of putting a bid together, so you had to use only his figure......

And yet others not bidding at the time or since were rumouored to have been able to meet with them.....

Ahh, poor litlle LifelongCherrryPip wasn't allowed near the creditors?

Thank **** for that. Good work Fry.

Fry is obviously going to be more desperate now than he was then. May be he even foolishly thought it was a seller's market to start off with?

If it was me, I'd have been at least tried to tap up the Aviva and Barclays liaisons with or without Fry's consent.

Tis a possiblility I guess, but I would hope our "rich" supporters would step in and stop Lowe. Come on Gavyn and Frost, do what you wanted to originally all those years ago!

Absolutely.

If there's one person round here who is desperate, absolutely desperate, to achieve a sale of this club then it's Mark Fry.

No one knows the full details of everything that has been put before him apart from him.

Imagine if you only ever heard a second hand account from someone who only knew one angle and who struggles badly to express themselves and who doesn't really understand anything about the area he is operating in. Christ, you'd end up talking a load of ****.

Swiss to take over this afternoon. Press conference at 2pm

I've heard that before, but live in hope...!

Everytime I tune in for one of these "press conferences" I'm just greeted by a SSN ticker saying "xxxx pull out of Saints deal". Let's hope that changes!

Nooooooo .... Surely not ????? ...... everybody on here has been telling me that Lowe would NEVER be back .......

Who would have devised such a Cunning Devious Plan to get us on the cheap ....... I mean, by Relegation and Asset stripping ??? ....... such a Lowe thing to do IMHO

So, imagine for a moment what might be the result if somebody had done that....

1) Fry could have had a fit as it was probably covered in the NDA leading to them being kicked out

2) Aviva could have had a totally different figure or structure that they would accept to the one Fry was asking for leading to a great deal of "confusion"

3) Barclays/Aviva could have refused to have any meetings themselves

Now one of those would lead to Fry kicking a bidder out, one of those would seriously unsettle a proper moneyman and one wouldn't make a bit of difference either way....

Would be interesting to find out what actually happened for ALL of the groups.

Oh and Benji, you are of course so right.

Not everybody, I think you'll find that both Toomer & I have consistently voiced this concern.

Why do people do this? Do you honestly think that its hard for ANYONE to call SMS and ask if there has been a press conf arranged for today? They used to ask what paper you were from, now they dont even do that.

Shocking as it is, they have no knowledge of a press conference being called today.

Found a new one while in UK.....

Not on sale here so brought some back with me....

Branston Hot Jalapeno relish.... much better

Just checked the cupboard and we've run out!

Is this is the tomato based one in a squeezy, stand on the lid type bottle?

It's superb with a nice mature Cheddar and lifts a Bolognaise sauce no end!

A sauce that bites you back.
