Takeover Latest Gossip

Interesting to see from the Members List that Spencer (The) Farmer was browsing the forum a mere 15 mins ago.

No sign of him posting his final thoughts on the Pinnacle shambles tho....

Looks like his 'greatest' contribution to the club will remain the setting up of the Forever Saints message board along with Tristan-Stanley-Mole with the sole objective of abusing Keith Legg....

I really do hope for all our sakes that the weeks that Pinnacle p issed away hasn't resulted in the death of the club.

To be fair to The Farmer, he did respond to a PM i sent him (more of a reply to one he sent me) and did explain his position in all of this and a few other bits and pieces. Good of him to do so. Blame TL, not him.

guys can someone just clarify this for me:

If no takeover is completed by Friday what actually happens?

I mean is that really the day that everything from the computers to the picture of the train is sold off at auction and Southampton FC basically ends?

Fry will say he is "hopeful" of something happening soon.

Depends on what the directors decide. Arguably they have made enough from sales to continue for a while longer without the club itself going into admin.

simple - there is a meeting!

That's all.

They will then decide where to go.

In Mark Wotte's interview on SNS just before 5 he confirmed he met the Swiss group 4 weeks ago!!!

Only to show them around he said. Not to be offered anything by them. Dave Jones and Fry have re-appointed him not the new owners. He clearly avoided the question on whether the Swiss owners had made the offer.

In which case we must have a chance of seeing some movement re the bid in near future. Perhaps Fry has kept them on the boil in case the first course was inedible. Now serve them up for us Mark so we can concentrate on the afters. Simple mundane things like team selection and style of play to suit our best 11.

How do they make that out ??????

That would mean that the FL accept that SFC is SEPARATE from Leisure Holdings .......

..... and as far as I was aware, the FL have always said that the two were intrinsically linked ..... thus REQUIRING a CVA ?????????

SO WHO IS RIGHT ???

If the two are intrinsically linked why would you need two CVAs??

won't it be SLH that is liquidated?

Won't liquidation mean that all the individual elements on the balance sheet will be sold off seperately, the land, the stadium, the training ground, the club...oh wait a minute does that not mean that someone could then buy one or two of the seperate elements and then bobs your unkle you have yourself a football club, perhaps with the need to rent a training ground or a stadium.

I didn't see anyone address Chez's post - that angle interests me.

If the entity that the new owner is buying is SFC, how do they gain any ownership and control over the stadium? Do they buy that from the creditors (AVIA)?

If they are buying SFC (for the team) and at least some of the assets of SLH in order to own and control the stadium, why wouldn't they need a CVA?

Sorry if I'm being thick here but I thought Chez raised a good point.

Hmmm, so if SFC go into admin do we clock another minus ten points (or whatever)?

We have just raised £2m by the sale of players so why is it necessary to liquidate? As far as I know the administrator can continue to run us as a football club until a buyer is found - is that not what happened at Bournemouth or have I got that wrong?

yes. We could remain in administration all season.

if gates, sales etc keep the wages paid etc.

With sales I do not think this weekend is a deadling - good news in that we are not folding but is their light at the end....

I suppose Mark Fry will carry on administering SLH and its assets until, in his judgement, the break up value of the assets exceeds the value likely to be obtained from selling off SLH as a whole.

Sorry if this has already been said, but apart from this group being Swiss what else do we know about them, is there literally anything more than them being swilsss

Fry allegedly told staff last week they would be better off with the Swiss than with pinnacle as their new boss

Nope. Nada. Zip. Other than they are leaving the takeover to 'a team of lawyers' to deal with all the legal stuff.

Tch.

Amateurs.

Meridian said they phoned Fry twice today & he said he was in negotiations at both times. Hopefull of a deal tomorrow.

I shouldnt pay to much attention to Meridian especially with dineage at the helm. He is probably trying to wind gullible saints fans up again

Talking of wind ups.

Is the Swiss clock ticking or is it winding down?

Also has Farmer taken the crown from ST David re the wind up merchant on takeovers. If I had known he was involved with SFC76 and the foreversaints site. I would have given his recent posts on here a much wider birth.

Nothing to do with Dippy Dineage, Andrew Pate was the reporter and he is a big Saints fan.

At what stage would they start to sell season tickets then?
