You obviously missed my post of Saturday morning which has since been removed (at my enforced request)? There was no nudge nudge and full of substantiation in it. Perhaps you were still asleep FFS.

 

2nd edit - I don;t really do "nudge nudge" - if I did I would not have the police on my case.

 

Harassing the club's historian and a valued poster on this site.

 

IMHO this is not the best way for anyone trying to buy the club to endear themselves to the fanbase if this is what has happened.

 

As much as we all love and support Saints, most of us are likely to also want to feel that new owners have some empathy with the supporters I should have thought.

The few facts that have emerged are quite consistent with a plan whereby Pinnacle have been put into to bat to p1$$ about for 4 weeks in order to drive the club into liquidation and hence make the assets of the club available at a far lower price to whoever is orchestrating the bigger picture.

 

It's possible and anyone (you know who I mean) could be behind such a plan.

mmmm.... interesting thought. Pay £500k now and then reduce the cost of the club by a few million so you can pick it up for a song when it goes belly-up.

Seems like Pinnacle is combining some of the worst facets of our previous chairmen. The abusive phone calls of Rupert Lowe and the message board fan pandering bullshi t of Mikey Wilde.

Echo reporting Fry not confident in Pinnacle bid?

But Solent say Pinnacle met Fry this morning?

Surman, McG and Davis all out, but no statement as to who made decision, what it means, or where the money goes?

 

By the way, that thread where everyone went on about doing heroin post-SFC demise, was IMO, classic. Well done. More gallows humour please!

No, I haven't heard from the police, for the simple reason that we are not living in Iran. Another possible reason is that posting facts, that are publically available and forming an opinion based on those facts then posting it, is still legal in this country, as far as I know.

 

I have had a number, a large number, of instances of being wrong in my life, largely due to the large size of my mouth and the small size of my brain, but, given my deep love for Southampton Football Club, my passion, on this occasion, swamped my judgement.

 

Do you still stand by the above GM and is it OK to use it on relevant occasions in the future GM, without fear of indictment or visits from the OB? :)

I think I am going to jump ship and move over to the much more uplifting Deal going thro today???? thread where at least I can pin my hopes for one last time on some lame rumour and have my dreams shattered once again.

 

At least for a few hours I can fool myself!

So, WHY would he call a Press Conference TODAY .... ????

 

WHY would Pinnacle seek to MEET him ...... a phone call to say, "sorry, we're £13.5M short" .... is just as effective.... ????

It could be talking about anyone FFS

 

People on message boards etc.

 

Just as likely could be refering to a Jackson and his Peter Reid statement
