SP Saint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 You obviously missed my post of Saturday morning which has since been removed (at my enforced request)? There was no nudge nudge and full of substantiation in it. Perhaps you were still asleep FFS. 2nd edit - I don;t really do "nudge nudge" - if I did I would not have the police on my case. Harassing the club's historian and a valued poster on this site. IMHO this is not the best way for anyone trying to buy the club to endear themselves to the fanbase if this is what has happened. As much as we all love and support Saints, most of us are likely to also want to feel that new owners have some empathy with the supporters I should have thought. Whitey Grandad Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 The few facts that have emerged are quite consistent with a plan whereby Pinnacle have been put into to bat to p1$$ about for 4 weeks in order to drive the club into liquidation and hence make the assets of the club available at a far lower price to whoever is orchestrating the bigger picture. It's possible and anyone (you know who I mean) could be behind such a plan. Will you please stop looking over my shoulder whilst I'm typing - thank you!!!! mmmm.... interesting thought. Pay £500k now and then reduce the cost of the club by a few million so you can pick it up for a song when it goes belly-up.

Seems like Pinnacle is combining some of the worst facets of our previous chairmen. The abusive phone calls of Rupert Lowe and the message board fan pandering bullshi t of Mikey Wilde. Mole Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine and twinkle on the Milky Way, They stretched in never-ending line along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, in such a jocund company: I gazed - and gazed - but little thought what wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils. Surman, McG and Davis all out, but no statement as to who made decision, what it means, or where the money goes? SP Saint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 No, I haven't heard from the police, for the simple reason that we are not living in Iran. Another possible reason is that posting facts, that are publically available and forming an opinion based on those facts then posting it, is still legal in this country, as far as I know. I have had a number, a large number, of instances of being wrong in my life, largely due to the large size of my mouth and the small size of my brain, but, given my deep love for Southampton Football Club, my passion, on this occasion, swamped my judgement. Do you still stand by the above GM and is it OK to use it on relevant occasions in the future GM, without fear of indictment or visits from the OB?
