We've 61 pages of fact, fiction, opinion and speculation on this thread - I can't figure out what's real any more. There's got to be a better way to separate out conjecture and opinon (which I still want to read and comment on) vs fact........

I think there was a fact on a post on page 31 but I forget which one!

On Radio Solent news at 1pm: Fry no developments since Friday....... Not good for the Swiss then?
Now that is deisappointing. Pinnacle are the last real hope if that is the case. The carpet baggers will be readying for a swoop

I think we have a bit of a chancer. If a deal is to happen it will be today or tomorrow so I could have said the same thing!

I hope I am wrong but I feel the only way this person can be judge to be wrong is if we get to Wednesday and nothing has happened.

DMG gone according to saintsfc

If a deal had been done, would DMG have been sold? Surely if it had been completed, they'd have stopped any such deals until they had got 'their man' in and decided what transfers to sanction at that time?

If no deal has been agreed (to buy the club) then who has agreed to sell DMG? Does Fry have this authority? Also, beggars the question as to WHY has DMG been sold - does it mean that a deal (for the club) is NOT forthcoming???

Well rumour and opinion are often wrong, but not always.

Although everyone here is feeling their way in the dark, between us we managed to figure out what the problem with the FL was (as subsequently confirmed by MLT) and also figure out that preserving a right of appeal would be at best a Phyrric victory (as finally accepted by Pinnacle according to MLT) as well as being a big financial headache for Saints staff in the meantime.

After last week's fiasco, I am sure that even you must have SOME misgivings about Pinnacle's ability to finance the deal and run the club effectively - even if those misgivings subsequently turn out to be unfounded?

Yes......I have misgivings......but only because of the hysterical postings on here. I spoke last night with someone not on the forum, and they were as excited by the deal, as this forum was, before all the RUMOURS. So it go's to prove that any misgivens anyone on here may have......would in the main, havebeen caused by rumour.

That said...I'm still defending their corner.....until the FACTS tell me otherwise.

It could mean that a deal has been done and the new owners ok'd it? Wishful thinking perhaps! Anyway it was also well known he was desperate to move back up that way since January, so no real suprise there!

To be fair, if DMG wanted to go there's nothing anyone could do about it. 6 weeks of negotiations apparently.

Good luck to him.

DEAL DONE THIS AFTERNOON.

Agreement with FL. Press conference tomorrow with MLT & TL. No news yet on manager. First priority is paying wages.

Hope your right KS.

however looking back through your posts though, you thought the deal was tba on 19/06/09 and that rod stewart is the mystery backer!

And I heard this morning that Surman is now definately going to Wolves and Fry has said "so the wages can be paid" so that sounds like he has little faith in Mr Lynham.

I'm interested to understand how the offer price for the club is calculated and potentially re-calculated following these "asset" sales.

Could it be that the price for the club (including player's registrations) will now be reduced?

Or was the reported £14M always going to be for the club less DMG and AS?
