Might it make it to 100 pages?

If 8 days = 59 pages then we can say that if this thread were to make 100 pages it would to have to remain open for popular discussion until Thursday Evening.

If the takeover is not done, and this thread is not locked and put in the golden forum by then, we have a problem!!! Even if Pinnacle don't get it done by then, i'm sure the Swiss will have it sealed.

Hmm I read MLT's comments as referring to Tony Lynam as the group Owner.

You think MLT meant head money man and someone other that Michael Fialka?

But I thought we were being told it wasn't a "group", it was one single money man?

It does seem to be unravelling somewhat, but sure it will be fine come Tuesday.

I thought Jacko was in the wings with an offer should Pinnacle fail.

Marc, have you got the liquid assets yet? LMAO

Yes, he has .......I have it on good authority that he got a six pack from the Off Licence last evening .........

Monday would seem to be a very critical day for the Swiss. That's the day they can probably gazump Pinnacle should they want to.

If they do want the club, then no point in waiting until Tuesday just in case Matty is as good as his word....

The Swiss interest ??? I don't believe that either

Pessimist ??? In this instance, yes, I'm afraid I am

I have re read TL latest missive on the Humble pie thread

Firstly can the Mods confirm that the poster using the tony lynam name is genuine or is it somebody using the name to wind up us up.

After all it would not be the first time this has happened remember Help Rhonda and who could forget Tommac!!!

I still have a number of doubts as to whether the pinnacle offer is a very serious offer . There are a number of holes in what is being said. the only saving grace is MLT latest comments that gives us all some hope.

Any way back to TL.s post.

I find it strange that He Has come on here and his post was directly to Guided Missile. There is a similarity from what I can remember about tommac getting in a strop when people started to slag him of at the time.

So why didnt TL just send a PM to GM? I wouldn't be suprised if Fitzhugh was also targeted by Pinnacle re his thread yesterday that led to the removal of that thread. Duncan is not the only person to have seen the contents of the email.

Also what I find disturbing is the following sentence from TL

"Ultimately, anyone can now trump us and steal this from under our feet. We don't believe that the vast majority of fans want that, and we firmly believe that we can really be what you all want as a new owner".

Why put this in a general email as it sounds like he is appealing directly to the fans to influence the Administrator into saying that we do not want the Swiss or any group taking over and that we the fans must insist its Pinnacle or nothing

I really do not know if Pinnacle are the group that we fans want apart from MLT as Chairman.

If Pinnacle are professional and above board and are so sure their bid will succeed then there is no need to keep appealing to the fans on this forum.

I will still give them the benefit of the doubt but if nothing is signed either tomorrow or tuesday and yet more excuses are given for the delay then I suspect this forum will go into melt down.

Tony give us something substantial re what is actually going on instead on playing mind games.

I suspect we will see a number of our better players leaving the club this week or next and who would blame them.

I can't see why he would refer to Tony or Failka as the 'owner'. Add that to the change in body language from the Friday interviews. On Friday he - while still talking positively - seemed quite down about the whole thing as if he had lost faith in the enterprise. Saturday he was up for it again, and I'd put this down to his speaking with the 'owner' probably the real money behind this earlier in the day.

I may just be reading into it more than there is, because I still would like Matt to be chairman, but I have more hope in teh Pinnacle bid now.

I have spoken to a number of fans over the last couple of days and they think this Fialka's appearance on SSN was a total joke. Let's not forget that Fialka claimed "he" was wealthy to buy the club. He looks totally out of his depth and the last person i want anywhere near SFC. Dont get me started on Tony Lynam coming on here posting his pathetic little messages. Then he wants to be in the boardroom ? I hate to think what sort of season ticket sales are going to occur from the backdrop to all this. The only way forward for Pinnacle is the actual money men to drop the sad middlemen Fialka and Lynam and get some proffesional boardroom.

Agreed. The real money behind Pinnacle, if there is any, need to come out because nobody is buying into Fialka as our saviour.

I still think Pinnacle started off their bid with completely different backers, who pulled out late, and TL had being playing for time while trying to find a replacement, and so far the best he could find was our friend from North London. Just a guess.

Pinnacle's credibility has been shot to pieces over the last few days. It's been a total PR disaster. Central to all this is where's the money coming from?

I'm still convinced that Pinnacle will be out and Jackson is there ready to pounce, agree the -10 and we will be OK by Tuesday. Whatever happens, I think the 30th is the final day because of wages and end of contractural agreements

100% agree.

I however have a nagging doubt that there is anyone with with any substantial financial clout behind Fialka/Lynam/Pinnacle.

The money thus far,i believe, has quite possibly been cobbled together and once the club has been "purchased" we will be back to not having a pot too **** in.

Do we really care???

As someone else said, all things apart. We are a div 1 team, and if you had been guaranteed 3 months ago, someone taking over the club on a shoestring, and installing MLT as chairman...chances are that most on here would of said yes.

Alas heads have been turned by rumours of Billionaires buying us, and some could see ££££ signs in front of their eyes. Realism is a bummer, but it's there all the same.....we are not a big club.

I think a lot of you guys are a lot of ungrateful S O B's We may not have had a club in 7 days so if Pinnacle and Matt can save us I for one will be truly grateful.

It may have been messy and overly delayed but if we still have a club to support then that is absolutely brilliant. Fialka may not have come across as the most eloquent chap in the world but that doesn't mean he hasn't got the money or connections to revive our fortunes.

And if the Swiss get past the post first I will be equally grateful as all I want is for Southampton FC to be there come the start of the season so we all have a team to get behind.......

Well said Ginge & Flickjax. We could get the most impressive sounding backers in the world and still be behind QPR and Manchester City in terms of potential & they are no great shakes anyway. Its all relative. I just want to be able to continue to support the Saints.

Its not about being ungrateful. It is about the very existence of the club.

I don't care who takes over as long as the club survives and I can go and watch the team when ever I can get to a match

Something has gone wrong with the pinnacle bid, I am not entirely convinced

it is totally about the FL but I can understand the principles re the fairness of allowing to appeal.

I think the main angst is the we keep hearing that the "deal will be done tomorrow" This was stated back in May here we are more than a month on and we are no further forward.

In a couple of days Mark Wotte will be unemployed as well several players.

If this is not resolved ths week, If and when we play Millwall we are likely to be trounced as we could have a very inexperienced and unfit team playing

So far from being ungrateful we are more hacked of because we do not know if we will have a club to support.

A) Of course everybody on here WANTS a successful purchase of SFC, but, IMHO, Pinnacle have NOT portrayed themselves to be very Professional. I cannot for the life of me imagine a really SERIOUS bidder having, or allowing, a "spokesman" issue daily summary's to the masses. That is simply NOT how Big Business is conducted

B) Based on the TV "performance of the century), you would NOT get many punters to put a bet on the fact that Fialka had much more than a Lloyds Current Account. Putting him in the spotlight causes more doubt on Pinnacles credibility IMHO

C) The Swiss are, IMHO, NOT genuine contenders, as they have been touring around seeing what is on offer. We are facing a DEADLINE DAY of the 30th June .......... no way are the Swiss going to complete by then .... even IF they were serious

D) Jackson ........?????? ..........The Joke® in the Pack ......... OK if we want Hampshire League though .........

You could well be right Donkey. But for that to be the case, in the last 3-4 days then Pinnacle's public position would have gone from having a mystery single backer, to having Michael Fialka unveiled as the apparent single backer, to now announcing that there is another mystery group owner presumably working alongside MLT, Tony Lynam and Michael Fialka.

It just seems such a confused media communication "strategy" that I didn't think MLT as a member of the Pinnacle team would have introduced another character for us in that off the cuff way.

That's why I "assumed" MLT's talk of the "Group owner" must refer to one of the characters we already know.

But as C B Fry said earlier the story seems to be unravelling a bit so who knows.

This is how I feel. All I want is Saints to survive. If Pinnacle come up with the goods then fantastic. But let's be honest, TL told us that his client's worth equalled several hundred £M! Shock horror the prospective principle owner turns out to live at home in a three bedroom semi-detached house with his parents and is a director of two companies with gross turnover just south £100K. Not very crediable and even the most positive thinking fans must have their doubts. Nevertheless, I hope I'm eating humble pie by Tuesday. This takeover stuff has dragged on for the past 3-4 years and has caused so much damage. I pray Tuesday will see an end to all the instability and we can start talking about summer transfers and pre-season friendlies.

What was Fitzhugh's thread that disappeared about?

He posted some of an email allegedly from Lynam to Fry giving details of the backers - Fialka was not amongst them.

I believe that players become free agents 2 weeks after they were not paid, not 2 days, so that would be about 9th July. I agree Wotte is probably a free agent in a couple of days though, but he probably more than anyone knows whether he has a future here or not, so will have made his own plans to stay or go, but he would probably like to be paid first before he leaves.

I really am beginning to question whether the so called posts from Tony on here are genuine or not. I'm not sure what would convince me they were, but its just beginning to sound more fiction than fact now, especially his response to GM's so-called apology which is clearly now just another wind-up from the king of wind-ups.

I still believe the Pinnacle deal will go through by Tuesday, and also I am 100% sure that if it doesn't we are dead in the water and SFC will no longer exist in its current form, because the Swiss bid seems even less believable than Pinnacle. Indeed we know absolutely nothing about it.

Don't know about this but BWP, Euell, Davis etc are all out of contract along with Wotte. I think that was what the original poster was refering to. If we can't offer them contracts soon then they will be leaving on frees (If it was not there intention to in the first place). HTH

Not knowing anything about the Pinnacle bid didn't stop the majority of bed-wetters on here championing it... why should it stop them cheerleading the anonymous Swiss?

The trouble with a deal with a big Swiss cheese, is that there is a likelihood of discovering that there are holes in it.

I am writing this post a very worried Saints Fan . Either way one of the groups Pinnacle , The Swiss or The MiddleEast (MJ) Group have to takeover the club at the front end of the week !!!

I dont care which it is just as long as one of them do .

At the end of next week Mark Fry will have no other recourse than to wind up the club , we will end up on minus 25 points at least and will lose control of all our assets.

On a person level the hard working staff at the stadium will remain unpaid for the foreseable future as the administrator would have to enter a 28 day process to exit the CVA.

The damage that will be done to the club is immeasurable , Pinnacle have by using up three weeks hurt the club badly , in truth they should have completed the week before the players returned . This would have allowed the Season Tickets to go on sale and for the players to have returned with a direction and to be greeted by the new manager.

Sadly they havnt and we are now in a position whereby it is purely a contract race between the three groups to secure the club.

Whichever group wins ( again i dont care which ) will save this great club........I just pray we dont get to Friday without a conclusion as should all Saints Fans.

Lets all just try to be united in that wish at least ....

I would have thought if the alleged meeting with the FL goes ahead without any problems Pinnacle would get it as I was unaware of any meetings between FL and the Swiss.

I guess the Swiss (or whoever) will be (?already have been) presented with a document stating the demands of the FL to Pinnacle and then it's 'take it or leave it' time.

I don't think Wotte is out of contract at the end of the month. I understood it was just his contract as manager that runs out and he will then revert to being Academy Director, or whatever his previous title was. Or have I made that up?? I'm so confused now.

They would definitely have to agree to the suitability of the proposed board members at the very least so, and I may be wrong, but as I see it Pinnacle would only lose it IF they pull out of their own accord, bearing in mind MLT's comments about accepting the -10 points to get the deal done.

Pinnacle are still in the driving seat as they have been cleared by the FL et al !!

Big, big week ahead!

I have got the colly wobbles as I am almost convinced now that nothing will happen today and tomorrow we will get the 'why it went wrong speech'. It is almost like it is being set up to fail. Public announcements of the efforts being made so when it does go tits up, they can't say they didn't try.

nothing adds up anymore and unless the Swiss or dare I say it the MJ bid bail us out, we could all be devestated next weekend!

Sorry for the negativity, just a really bad feeling in the pit of stomach this morning!

If I am proved wrong fantastic, I trust Matt to do the right thing, just not sure about the unknown element. It has been touched on, but we don't need a new Wilde regime!

Have a good day everyone lol!
