it is still wrong that the way MJ has been treated on here. You cant have a rule for 1 and not another. As with TL he may well have been let down by moneymen who got cold feet. That is why the moneymen like anominity as if they lose their nerve their reputation doesnt go with it. It is left on the frontman to lose any credibility (that is the price of commissions gained). For TL you can read MJ, both were people genuinely trying to find buyers but at the last minute were let down. They then try and paddle the canoe as long as possible in the vain search for another to take the place of the one lost. Both are seen as fantascists now but I believe they tried, and as they both put serious money into their bids neither will come away unhurt financially. It is easy to sit here and have a pop.How many of you lot would put your house on the line for the club, or even risk getting a loan of 10k so you could go and try and find a buyer?

Yes they both are fantascists and dreamers, but so are we on here talking about our club but when push comes to shove really we dont love it enough to go and actually spend a decent wedge of our own money trying to find someone to buy it.

Iam sad that it has come to this, I still believe (stupidly) that it can't happen to us. What have i done to try and save us.....well I turned up to Saintsaid and put £30 into a pot, I have debated and argued about how it should be done, as for anything else apart from asking the odd multi millionaire i know or met 'how about buying saints' I have done nothing. Shame on me.

Fair enough

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. If we get a buyer, any buyer, then I will show my support in the way that matters by buying 4 season tickets for league 1 or 2. No ifs no buts. And I'm sure you'll do the same.

If there were any way that a serious consortium of fans could be put together - and that is a massive "if" , then I would put in 10K for shares - but I just can't see 1000 fans being able to run a football club in peace.

Actually, I had f all to drink. I was working on a business deal and needed a break. Just shows how pi $$ed off I am.

Oh and less of the old....

Joking apart you said what needed saying.

I showed it to Mrs Rover - she always thought I was a foul mouthed ex-chemist. Now she knows I'm not so bad, as the profession goes. :)

Echo today at 1200

MARK Fry has admitted he is satisfied that Michael Fialka DOES have the money to complete a takeover.

The administrator said he had seen the Echo’s exclusive story yesterday regarding Fialka’s background and his companies’ financial positions.

“I have seen stories myself and clearly they are very a cursory look into the background of the individual concerned,” he said.

“As far as I am aware that individual is from a substantially wealthy family.

“There are other people surrounding that individual that are also involved in the Pinnacle Group.

“It is referred to as the group because that’s what it is.

It would appear that what I said to GM about his theory being based on limited information is correct.

Also would appear that Davis Extance is bullsh*tting on behalf of Jackson. What a pair of w*nkers.

'As far as I am aware' is hardly a ringing endorsement, is it?

Precisely translated it means: 'To the limited extent of my knowledge.' I take it to mean that Fry actually had no idea of Fialka's family situation - living at home, Dad a taxi driver, Mum a small shop owner.

It seems entirely possible that the 'cursory look' was a little closer to home.

Jesus wept. Do you not think that Fry wouldn't have had a closer look at the money behind the bid than a cursory look.

He's not selling a packet of peanuts is he.

Fry makes a public statement that MF has the money......

But of course that's not good enough is it.

What do you want?

His most recent bank statement?

interesting article and also explained the football league wanted them to sign 6 pages of extra pages which fry himself found strange and thought all buyers would have trouble with it.

and he believed they had the money to complete the deal.

I think you missed my point. As for the money (which I didn't comment on), we'll see.

Any chance you (or someone) could let us see the full Echo article? I live outside the area so don't get to see it, just the website soundbites which can be misleading. Thanks

Fry seems convinced pinnacle aren't making excuses and saying the league have made 8 pages of conditions.

Seems totally happy its leagues fault

I'm sure some posters won't let that get in the way of their 'facts / agenda'.

given that the Saints situation is not unique (regarding clubs going into admin, although I accept the complexity of SLH) it would be interesting to know which conditions are different to say Leeds or Stockport

Fwiw I do think that pinnacle have the money to complete the deal, I know that mlt 100% has the best intensions of the club at heart. I still think there is a chance that pinnacle will complete but it is now squeeky bum time.

What started off I think as an attempt by tl to genuinely try to comunicate with the fan base on here has unfortunately backfired as the more updates he has given has posed more questions than provided answers, & has also contained some inaccuracies which has placed serious question marks against his credibility.

I think Pinnacle believe there is some witch hunt against them. I think they need to wake up & smell the coffee. This week has been a huge pr disaster for them which has threatened the deal, they need to grow a pair of ******** realize they have made some mistakes & shut up all the doubters by completing the deal.

I agree with the comments. This whole saga has had more twists and turns than a corkscrew. To be fair, Pinnacle is the only one that has put money up, yet continue to frustrate us all with no definitive completion date. Nothing substantial has become forthcoming from the Jackson except 'promises' and nothing at all from the Swiss lot. We don't even know who the hell they are, yet fans are supposedly rooting for them.
