The FL will not under any circumstances change their mind, and today's empty space that we are all staring into is the lack of change and the time it takes for them to answer Pinnacle's letter all over again.

 

It is a terrible abuse of power, as Mark Fry says, but that is nothing new, and nothing directed especially at Saints. Why would FL care if Saints didn't compete next year? They would only promote another club or run League One with a team short. Let the truth sink in: THIS IS OUR CONCERN, NOT THEIRS!

 

My consideration of eating an old hat if they change their mind seems less and less risky for every hour that expires.

 

I'm getting increasingly convinced that Jim Ratcliffe is the man behind this, because he is used to playing hardball, taking things to the wire and squeezing blood out of stones. I don't think he can believe that things aren't going to change, but then he's never dealt with the FL before.

 

I just want to get back to football and all the normal boring discussions.

If people didn't keep posting unnecessary comments then we wouldn't have to keep on reading them.

Just got in from a job and waiting for update from Tony. First thing this morning he gave me a little bit of background with regards the new set up and then said today would be a very important day. With many of the plans already in motion I took it that this was the cue for the completion by tomorrow, but I'm still waiting to hear an official release.

Have you heard the problem with the League may go deeper than just the 10 points?

Now you've done it. You can't just say he's given you a little bit of background and then not share it on here. There are some people not getting any work done at all.

I dont think he is wrong about being a very important day Farmer. I suggest he gets the money into the bank so wages and the HMRC can be paid.

When does the players representative contact the Players association to talk about the clubs breach of contract with them for not paying their wages? that will be the next crack in the fans and players relationship as soon as that happens, something else we all cant afford.

I really cannot believe Pinnacle are wasting time on counter-proposals to reduce the 10points. The big delay has to be about preventing the extra 15.

Farmer, will anything be made public today do you think? Even if completion is tomorrow.

 

That is the vibe I took from Tony after speaking to him early doors, but I know there were the last couple of details to finalise today.
