Lol, my team would die for the cause, unlike the fancy Dans he looked after. Only got a favourable result due to certain underhand tactics

With hindsight I should have turned out for you alongside GM:smt073

yOU WOULD HAVE WON WITHOUT FAIL..Especially with Alpine and Stanley alongside us in midfield....What a quartet:smt007

Saints are looking at us very closely....Mind you so are sum in the medical profession:D

I am so ****ing bored off this, watching paint dry is much more compelling, hurry the fook up Pinnacle, Im loosing faith.

I don't really think it's exactly their fault.

Unfortunately, i'm kind of resigned now to hearing more and more and more bad news. I don't think anything will get done this week - so best not hang around the website continually pressing 'F5'

I find the fact that he posts on here worrying.

If I was trying to nail down a multimillion pound deal for a client worth hundreds of millions I wouldn't give a monkeys about keeping a few nerds on a message board up-to-date.

Wasnt that one of the problems with the previous incumbant?

i think the odd statement on here or various mediums is a nice touch and long may it continue. I would be more worried if he got into banter and name calling which is the usual stance for many on here but as it is I think its a plus point.

saints fans are so used to being treated like 2nd class citizens by the previous bunch of losers in control of the club, that when someone goes about it the right way,we are naturally a bit surprised.makes a nice change to actually have someone who feels it's the right thing to do, to keep us all updated on events,so let's not knock it.

Have they found the missing cat yet?

Not yet. Poor moggy.

Talking about cats, does anyone remember the Bristol City away game season ago when a cat ran across the pitch? It scarpered from our end, weaved its way through the players and ended up leaping into the other stand. Well amusing.

Good job you are not buying the club. It is called stakeholder management as they are keen to build a good brand for the business and not become Lowe like before they take over!!!

If I were the money man/woman, and reading on here to get a gauge on what I was buying, I'd be telling TL not to bother. What a bunch of wingeing whining drama queens. This deal will either happen, or not, but looking at the posts of some of you on here, makes me wonder if you want it to happen............Cripes, to think I among others was pilloried for not going last season, and my right to be called a fan was bought into question.

FFS.......grow up, let the man do his job.

Woman? LMAO. ;)

You have to laugh at this, previously we have moaned about not being kept up to date and moaned about being kept in the dark now we have someone keeping us updated and what do some do on here, ****ing moan. You can't win. It also amazes me how some on here are now doubting Pinnacles offer, this from a consortium who have put a non refundable deposit of £1/2million up front, if they are now backing of as some suggest why would they waste this money in the first place. I remember when Notts County were in administration for 18 months so we are not as hard done by as some suggest, just give it time and I'm sure it will turn out alright, with MLT fronting the bid you know we have someone who cares passionately about the club and he will not want us to go tits up.

if we don't hear anything positive today then it may well be curtains.

Why?

TL has stated most clealy that he is on the verge of signing the documents once the last few details have been clarified how have we gone from that is the space of a few hours to the blue square?

We're running out of time, wages have to be paid on Thursday & TL's message to Hypo didn't exactly fill me with confidence. We've had so many false dawns in the past i guess i'm just expecting the worse to happen, i pray that i'm wrong.

I'm not moaning about it, I think it's great that TL keeps us up-to-date, long may it continue, if everything is kosher then it is a breath of fresh air.

My point is that I would have thought he was too busy sorting stuff out to be keeping us lot informed, especially considering the amounts of cash involved and that everything is so time critical.

Maybe I'm just paranoid after all the ****** fantasists like Jackson have posted before.

Hardly. Most everyone was wetting themselves back in May.

My questions and concerns outlined four weeks ago are still questions now.

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=315498&postcount=205

This universal outpouring of joy is pretty amazing. Consider the facts:

1. We have no idea who our owner is.

2. We have no idea who the manager will be.

3. We have no idea who the players will be.

4. We have no idea about whoever has taken us over's short or long term plans.

5. The only communication has been a Mike Wilde-style letter

The takeover isn't even complete, and one has to wonder exactly why it took this long - is the new guy really committed to Saints? He might be, he might not be - I hope it is the former but nobody has any idea.

So why the outpouring of joy? The other bids might easily have been better for the football club and fans, but this one was the best for the creditors. I don't know one way or the other but history has taught us Saints fans that dropping your pants and jumping into bed in delight without knowing the full details is fraught with repercussions down the line.

The situation is unchanged, except we're into preseason and we've had a whole bunch of Mike Wilde style letters after the initial one.

Pinnacle's credibility is shot for me - even if they pull this off I don't have any confidence in Lynam to run the club more competently than he had run the takeover. The fact the money guy is STILL anonymous means he can easily walk away at any point. Things don't look any more rosy now than when I was mocked for my doubts last month.

It takes about two minutes to post a message, not difficult to do whilst waiting to hear from the football league.

This is another one of the problems I am having with this deal. IF it is Pinnacle doing the deal and some mug has provided this company with £15M to spunk on Southampton Football Club, then Tony Lynam can sign the contract on behalf of Pinnacle to purchase the assets, as he is a director of said company. I say this, because we all know that Pinnacle is worth about 5 bob and is in no position to commit to a sizeable asset purchase without outside help.

But this is not going to happen, is it? Any sane investor would ensure that it is his signature on the contract or if not, he ends up owning the assets, in the form of a holding company or something like it (Newco). Now, if Lynam has become a director of Newco, he won't be signing on behalf of Pinnacle or himself. Of course, he could be signing as an agent of Newco, but, why?

What is likely to happen, IF this circus is for real, is for the money man to sign the asset purchase agreement, pat Tony Lynam on the head and make him Director of Pencil Sharpening at St. Marys and then enter the stadium in a blaze of glory. It's what rich people who buy football clubs do...

Of course along with the £1/2million+ he has wasted on the non refundable deposit plus the wages they are paying on Thursday, once the mystery buyer has paid these wages he can walk away happily knowing he has nothing to show for his generosity.

A friend who works at the stadium has had a phone call to say they won't being getting paid Thursday.

This is obviously about more than just 10 points.

Perhaps....just perhaps....Pinnacle have come to an arrangement with the Football League whereby the FL agree to restrict the points penalty to -10 as long as SFC go through the CVA process. But, of course, to do that SFC itself would have to go into administration....and perhaps (that's a big "perhaps")....'engineering' a missed pay day will force SFC into a technical administration, so that they can bounce straight back out of it with the requisit CVA....and, hey presto, the FL are happy and SFC are (relatively) happy because we've avoided something worse than a -10 point penalty.

Could that be what it's all about? i.e. it's not just about the -10 points, it's about going through the due process to avoid further points penalties and/or demotions???????

No idea...I'm making this up as I go along (first time for everything....)

I get the feeling you dont like the idea of this deal GM lol

Its frustrating not knowing the ins and outs of the deal and who is involved but my guess is TL wouldnt have got as far as he has with this supposed takeover if he hadnt proved that he has the authority to speak on behalf of the prospective new owner.

If your right in that Pinnacle have bugger all funds themselves then we can only assume that the deposit of 500k plus what ever extra is meant to have been paid for the Ajax game must have come from someone else.

So it would appear that there is financial backing and it must have proved that there is enough backing to complete the takeover.

I think the issues are not about money but more about the league and its implimentation of dodgy rules.

if the takeover eventually happens I will wait and see if it brings people who can take the club forward or if its more of what we have been used to in the past. I am hoping its more possitive than negative though.

I am quite pleased we have heard nothing, means they are hopefully whirling like a dirvish to complete deal!!

Take a guess of what has happened today....1st thing this morning Pinnacle to FL " can you as a matter of urgency clarify this last point, then we can complete our deal". FL "yeah may look at it later if we have time".

Some time ago Dubai Phil posted up how any fan could buy the club, it was to do with leveraging , a bit like the Glazers have done with Man U. Perhaps that is the case now if it was true that the moneyman was not fully on board a few weeks ago.The fact that LC paid the deposit (as was reported yesterday and it was called Crouchs Pinnacle group on the BBC teletext) sent a few alarm bells ringing. If TL does indeed pay the wages thursday then I will be happy that our concerns are groundless. For the posters to call fans drama queens is out of order, they may be complacent enough to believe all is right but many are losing confidence. It is MLT at the front that has stopped many from all out questioning.
