Takeover Latest Gossip

So then did anyone actually predict that Markus Leibherr (Spelling?) Would buy the club? Was anyone truly ITK. I have read lots of posts about a Swiss Consortium but as I understand it we have not been purchased by a consortium. So come on who is king of the ITK'ers. For the record I had it on very good info that we were being taken over by David Gold, I'm glad I kept that to myself.

Latest rumour I heard is that Saints are to be taken over someone called Markus Leibherr. A Swiss/German billionaire apparently. Probably a load of böllocks, but I thought I'd pass it on.

Surely the thread can get to Page 300?

Someone may have mentioned Saints being sold to a mega-rich Markus Loverboy, surely this could only be a Swiss fairytale?

And a (tenuous) link to Southampton's docks heritage via some nice new cranes, no, now you've got to be making it up...

I'm so pis*ed this thread is starting to make sense

The admins can let all of us chimps post in this and then the other threads don't get mucked up with sh*t. I can think of one small problem with that though,..

This post was much appreciated Art, as were the sentiments behind some of the responses to it. Cheers.

Can I come back now?

Welcome back Farmer.

It is sometimes no fun passing on inside information received in good faith and then being proven wrong.

Many of us have been there.

Kind Regards

No hard feelings Farmer, I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes, which was to pass on hope to your fellow supporters which you believed to be happening and current.

One small favour though, teach me the ways of tetris, it's doing my fecking head in!

Well I'm sure the takeover talks, regardless of who came good in the end, took a lot of skill and patience to get past the finishing post - but that's not a patch on the effort I put in to get that Tetris score - have you seen how far I am ahead of Rut?? :)

The End

Farewell fond friend.

Who can really believe that after so many false starts, broken hearts, false promises, double entendres and downright boring repetition, we can now finally say goodbye to takeover threads.

As much as that strange sensation most of us no doubt had of waking up a bit fuzzy headed and worrying if it had all been a dream, suddenly the sight of the last thread making it's respectful way down into the annals of forum history.

What changes we must now make to our lives, how hard it will be to only have football to focus on instead of politics, attendances, statistics and downrigh stupidity?

Perhaps the loss of the takeover thead should lead to a new sticky for our most myopic posters, "The Counselling Thread" probably should now be waiting in the Lounge

God speed Good Thread and while you have lived long and prospered, may we hope and pray that we never see your like again.
