Oh dear.

For a start, can you really trust anyone who writes: "....A Austrian consortium..."?

They're getting their Swiss and Austrians mixed up - bit like The Echo did.

Easily done, I suppose. They all come from countries which have lots of tall pointy things.

.. think you'll find that they are refering to Red Bull who ARE Austrian

But everyone had been talking Swiss until this load of Red Bull on the Mad site.

If someone is going to post something as a journalist on a football site and expect to be believed you would expect them to get their grammar correct.

What FlioridaMarlin was refering to I think was A Austrian.... It should be An Austrian

Could be the mystery overseas 4th bidders?

there aren't any other serious "bidders". It's over, get used to it.

We may bumble along in admin with the proceeds of player sales though but that depends on the continuing support of the creditors I would think.

We can try and dream. It would be great but have to say all i want is a club left to support. Please be a happy ending, it would be like a hollywood movie just more nerves with Fry played by Jack Bower!!

Well i'm happy to cling on to any window or clutch any straw, whether it has legs or not it won't be going very far away with me attached.

Livingstone have had their electric cut off and could be evicted from their stadium after midnight tonight. Chairman on holiday abroad.

Compared to that shambles, we're lording it!!!

not really, they probably don't have a monthly wage bill of around 400K to meet.

If they find a tenner in the street they're probably quids in, we on the other hand, need 10/14 million.

Well given the fact he looked totally distraught and a beaten man I think MLT will not come anywhere near any deal.

I think you can file that under bull.

I think he probably means after completion.

wouldn't be surprised if the new owner approached him.

if I were him I would speak privately, not back anyone and talk again when they complete!

Morph, why do you think Tony Lynam is a tyre kicker?! Do you and Duncan all huddle together and chose a person to vindicate when you’re not kept in the picture. FWIW, I expected better from the pair of you. Time has dragged out but it’s pretty ignorant just to label someone a tyre kicker because things aren’t happening as fast as you both want. As Lynam said, the delay is for the best interests of the club and could be ensuring legalities are tied up so we don’t impose further deductions. I don't disbelieve him (FWIW).

So, to call Lynam and Pinnacle tyre kickers when the people you purport to support haven’t really set the city alight smacks me with as mildly hypocritical. At least Pinnacle have put a great deal of time, money and effort in. Hardly the behaviour of tyre kickers with no commitment. Unless you know differently!

People need to give Pinnacle more respect, dragged out or not. If this week passes and nothing happens, then by all means pontificate and criticise but, for now, everyone should keep the faith and be a bit more respectful. After all, this group have put a hell of a lot of energy into this attempted takeover. Maybe it will be worth it. I didn't see any other groups put half a million on the table before Pinnacle and I don't see anyone else doing so now!

You were saying Gordon.

I always look forward to Morph's posts but I find him a bit of a tease.

I wonder what that reminds me of.

I know last seasons team. Threatened for a few minutes to make a go of it but never delivered. Well, not often enough anyway.

Ouch!

But do you know of any "active" bidder to save Saints, Morph?

All I know is that there is big fat promise out there that this club will never die.

I know who made the promise and he is a man of great integrity

That is a fact

Unfortunately it appears that a fantasist or two valued the club at a ridiculous price of £14 million or so and it appears that the administrator and creditors and quite a few others were taken in by this.

Sorry to disappoint, but we are not worth anywhere near that.

Hopefully reality has now dawned on certain people.

That is what I know presently, but I expect some positive developments.

FWIW I'm quite upbeat this evening.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the post but again the proof of the pudding and all that.....

We have had several people state they would do this and that until its time to hand over the money.

I admire your faith but I am very concerned they will not folow through on this promise.

What's Steve Austin got to do with this?

Well to be honest I'd like him to open a can of Whooop A$$$$ on Lynam tonight for wasting everyone's time...

..and that's the bottom line...

'cause Channon's Sideburns said so....

This is simply all that i care about, being able to go to football again in August! Not really fussed who takes over in the end, just let us have a club come the start of the season!

I long for the days when all we had to moan about was why WGS persisted in playing Telfer in every match...

Morph has certainly posted a lot of bull over the years .... but if you look back on his recent posts, he has been remarkably accurate in the last couple of weeks.

It certainly looks now as if the creditors are going to have to reduce their expectations if Salz / the Swiss are going to play in this game.

Perhaps that was the whole idea? I would expect that the price hads dropped by more than £500k.

Look lads I'm not forking out for a membership - but I'm going to attempt hijacking this thread!

If it meant SFC survived - would you accept Rupert Lowe back?

Is it possible?

From hated figure to saviour in one fell swoop.

So what say you lot?

I wish supporting Saints could just be about football again. :(

Telfer was a footballing God, compared to some of the Billy No Marks that have been pulling on the Saints shirt for the last couple of seasons!

Very funny Yorkie. With a sense of humour like that we should have a whip round so you can post more often.

Trouble is Morph as you are well aware, Fry will have a figure in mind for a break up value of the assets.

From what you've said previously I don't feel enormously confident that Mr Salz can better this, do you?

I sincerely hope he can and does because unlike some / most / all of the previous bidders he is a fan and has integrity, business acumen and intelligence, the main characteristics we need the new owners of the club to possess.

Well if there's no Saints might be worth checking out a few Rymans League clubs because thats where AFC Saints are likely to be 2010/11 season - lets hope its doesn't come to that
