MLT, KK and Dowie... chairman, DoF and head coach.

That would just make my day. :-)

Possibly, MLT sounded out KK as to what he thought of Dowie as Manager for Saints ????

.... Though I still prefer Gordon Strachan .... THAT would be some statement of intent by the New Owner(s):)

so we could see Tim Flowers back too then as he seems to follow Dowie around as his assistant

absolutely, we ought to have a club staff like the Liverpool side in the 60's -70's .....no-one gets a job unless ....they are a former player!

MLT, Dowie, Flowers, Puckett ...do I hear more ?

Armstrong as scout, Nick Holmes maybe ..?

Would prefer Tisdale to Dowie frankly. But Dowie is a better option than Ince.So on that basis I'm fairly indifferent to his possible appointment.

Why? Dowie has failed at his last three jobs. I don't understand why so many people rate him so highly. Take out the promotion season at Palace and his managerial record actually looks quite poor.

Think he is managing a club in the Irish league!

....we could have done with him last season!!

Kenna was named Galway United manager (taking over from his former Republic of Ireland U21 international team-mate Tony Cousins) in a press conference on 21 April 2008.[1] He lost his first match in charge 3–2 versus Bray Wanderers.[2]

On 15 July 2008, Kenna officially became player-manager at Galway United.[3]

At the time taking over at United, the club were bottom of the table and haemorrhaging money. Due to league financial regulations a lot of the senior players were sold onto other clubs to ensure that the clubs salary expenditure fell within league requirements.

Galway were forced to rely on a lot of young inexperienced players, but as the season drew to a climax Kenna engendered a real team spirit in the side to the extent that over the last seven games United collected five wins a draw and one loss. This enabled Galway to garner seventeen crucial points and narrowly avoid relegation to the First Division next season, pipping Finn Harps by a single point.[1]. A wonderful feather in the cap of this fledgeling manager (he had also led the club to the last four of both the League Cup and the FAI Cup), Kenna was understood to be contracted for another season with Galway but decided to quit during the winter period.

He took the position of St. Patricks' Athletic manager on 14 January 2009. His first competitive match was a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of his previous club who's new manager, Ian Foster, had been Kenna's assistant the season before.

i want the club to go back to play-for-the-badge, spirited, blood-and-thunder, ghengis kahn-like performances. The time for smart-arse tactics and pretty tippy-tappyness is over.

Dowie and keegan can deliver that

oooTerry sorry to disagree but ID has hardly helped improve Newcastle their organisation was no better and they still were letting goals in from set pieces. KK I have no issue with as he adds plenty against his negatives.

we always focus on the negatives....newcastle have been in trouble all season...you only have to look at arry and saints to see that when a club is in the poo, some things just cant save them...

im not fussed dowie did not do enough to save crack-pot newcastle from the premiership..im interested what he has done in league 1 in the past or at least, this end of the footballing table...

edit - what ****s me off is when people are dismissing ince saying "he was a failure at blackburn"...well, shoot me down..im not too sure what the premier league has to do with us in league 1... the last time ince was down this part of the football world his record was second to none...hence why he went to the premiership in the first place..

he did very very well at macclesfield, then MK dons too..didnt he win the paint trophy or what it is called at wembley..?

why would we want ince....lol

It is just one of those things, I dont rate ID but i will give him my support until he f#### up if he is selected.

Ince is someone Id be happy with although i dont like him much.I doubt he will be offered the job as I get the impression he doesnt get on with MLT

Ince simply isn't very intelligent is the point, and is also full of himself. His success at MK Dons and Macclesfield was largely down to his very experienced assistant, Ray Matthias, IMO.

Dowie may be as ugly as sin, but he does have a brain.

Completely agree with that.

Far as I'm concerned we can have a team full of big strong ugly so and so's as long as we have a team. A team that will work it's socks off and will stand up to the slightest hint of aggro.

Did well at Oldham with no money.

Took Palace from bottom to play off final win.

Dismissed after short spell at Charlton who copied Saints 4 managers = relegation season.

Short spell at Cov and QPR when he was not given long enough.

Highly respected manager/coach hence reason Shearer chose him as his assistant.
