I think the announcement of completion will be tomorrow. Make up of Board, appointment of Manager etc. and proper press conference on Monday. Just my take/opinion.

Thats how it would be at virtually every other club in the country. However this is Southampton !! Seriously, it sounds the most reasonable explanation to meridian's statement.

I also imagien that some of our new signings, such as Lionel Messi, will find it hard to attend a press conference at such short notice :-)

Give it to Ron Posted 18 June, 2009 Author Posted 18 June, 2009 Interviewed Mick Channon on tv at Ascot earlier he said that KK never mentioned anything about it a couple of days ago when he spoke to him. He followed that up with well everything about this deal is a secret and he really hoped it all came off and what a great club this is. You could see the love for this club shine through in the interview.

Other than the KK speculation I think it's fair to assume that no news is good news. Hopefully they are back on track but I am back in the dark today with regards to any updates in terms of completion. At this point the managerial speculation is a side show to me, I just really want pinnacle confirmed as owners asap or at least a positive official statement that they have got an extension agreed till tuesday as requested.

Monday will be a press conference to confrim Saints are dead even though a certain Mr Lowe tried to step in at the last minute offering his expertise to save Saints.

I REALLY hope it is all completed tomorrow, there are some very large bills due for payment in the next week or so, last month's tax bill will be due and next week the wages are due, it won't give much leeway for Fry if it doesn't happen so fingers crossed.

M mate who work sin banking reckons this oculd have been sorted much earlier but Mark Fry has been hanging on for as long as possible as he gets paid for the lngth of time he's involved rather than acheiving a good =deal all round. Normally I would have thought he talks shi&e but he was right baout something similar when my company got taken over last year so I believe him. May be it is just a poor choice of words I have as the issue with your post? Something not eased by your own statement yesterday that you are now "in the dark", and the fact that there have been no negative whispers on here so you feel more at ease that all is fine. You see, it seems you are trying to be authoratitive, whilst not appearing to have any inside track. There is the contradiction and my grounds for cynicism, in a nutshell. Fingers crossed for the news we all want to hear today. Then it is forwards and upwards!!!
