Right. Keegan is not coming - FACT!

There will be a new manager and he does have a Saints link so that should keep some of you happy, although I think quite a few will be disappointed.

Did I miss something, why has coppell not been mentioned? That seemed like a pretty obvious move when he quit Reading, a few people on here mentioned it.

Never mind the 'other' manager and I know I'm a new poster etc... but I heard from a decent source today that Nick Holmes is to become assistant manager in the new regime. Top player in his day and certainly done a good job at Salisbury. Along with MLT and KK another appointment that would help unite us all. Well all of us of a certain age anyway...

Pretty obvious?

It's pretty obvious that if he is to come back into management every championship club and a fair few premier league clubs would want him.

I don't think a league 1 club with -10 points would be his kind of thing.

Obviously this whole thing is between Keegan and Dowie. IMO.

Since when did a bullet have horns ???

Bulls have I know but they are not fired from guns ???

:)

LMFAO, actually sounds like something Ince would say...!

Fills me with more enthusiasm for the future than Ince.

Ince and Shearer just strike me as the football equivalent of the emperor's new clothes. WTF people see in them God only knows.

.

This is exactly spot on... why are people taken in by their ramblings? One can't even string a sentence together and the other has less motivational tact than SGE, with even less idea of how to actually 'coach' a football team. See Newcastle's last 8 games for evidence.

Tisdale has achieved far more, and his teams actually look like they know what they are doing.

Same can't be said for Ince.

And the difference between Ince and Tisdale intelligence wise is staggering, truly staggering. Ince is still probably getting his head round Spot The Dog.

Mucho LOL'age

For me I would prefer KK even if it was for just the 1 season. Out of all the names being mentioned I think he would attack the pants out of every team we played and we would stand the best chance of beating the -10 points and going for promotion.

Long term I cant see KK sticking it out or knowing what to do next but after the shiite seasons we have had I would love to see a season of good times.

'Keegan is joined on the exalted shortlist by Alan Shearer, a fellow former player, Gordon Strachan, a former manager, and Alan Curbishley. None of the managers would come cheaply, but Keegan may be the most reasonably priced'.

WGS..it would be a mistake to go back imo.

Shearer..no experience of note.

Curbishley should join Ince in the 'f^ck off' file.

If it was Tisdale then you would think he was going to quit the club he's at now.

Myself thinks its going to have KK on the directors board with Dowie pulling the strings with Holmes.

Do we need, or will place two former high profile players on the same board ?

If it was Tisdale then Exeter would have made it public by now.

Can't see it being Ince (As much as I would like it) because apparently Le Tiss doesn't like him.

Can't see it being Shearer as he is a shoe in for the Newcastle job.

Its Dowie. Won't be wanted by Shearer now the battle to save them is over, him and Matt are good friends, ex saints, looking for a club probably for a long term mission.

I really hope its not Keegan and Dowie. Just one or the other.

But we couldn't approach Exeter or Tisdale yet,as 'we' do not have a club to run until Begbies Traynor officially say we do.There is no reason however to stop prospective owners talking to available candidates about hypothetical vacancies.

True. However you'd have to be pretty darn stupid to believe that if Matty and co had approached Tisdale, Exeter wouldn't know a thing.

For a start it would show a complete lack of respect on Tisdale's part if he didn't mention it to Exeter that as of tomorrow he's going to do one.

If Exeter did know something, they'd be looking for a new manager and eventually something somewhere would come out.

Curbishley built up Charlton from next to nothing. They sacked him and where are they now? He would probably be nearly ideal for us but I don't think it will be him. Agree about Ince though

Glenn Hoddle........MLT will give him a one game trial...Which Glenn will do a brilliant job and win 5-0.......MLT WILL THEN SACK HIM and say have sum of that matey......parley vous

Oh, sweet revenge! I love it!

Same was said of Burley to some degree.I see Curbishley as another of yesterdays men, unlikely to reach the same heights again.

As for the 'guv'nor',I really hope that if nothing else,MLT does have an intense dislike of the f^cker,to keep him away from Saints.

In the Star (not reliable I know but a good paper for knockers) he may be in for an ambassadorial role as he still has an ongoing dispute with Mike Ashley. Apparently Pinnacle have identified who they want as manager but cannot say who as he is as he is still employed by another club.

if that's the case;

Dowie, Tisdale??

It is worth noting that Tisdale works under a DofF structure at Exeter. KK DofF and PT as manager - works for me!

the only criticism I would have of Tisdale is lack of working at a big club, with the publicity and issues away from the playing side that come with it - therefore I wouldn't be surprised to see him in that sort of role.

He is young enough, and coming from smaller club, to probably not be offended by MLT suggesting DofF, and if you have one can't get much bigger name

We should have a league table for the ITKers, you know the ones 'I have been told', 'I understand' blah blah then when all comes out of the wash at the end of today (hopefully!) they can all serve respective bans related to the amount of inaccuracy displayed.
