Software that enables you to record radio shows

We've got a customer at work who has just purchased a new computer from us. He has a basic Creative Sound Card in his old system which came with some software which enabled him to record radio shows he listens to. Does anyone know of any software able to do this?

Don't really think I can put a German program on a customers system.

I continue to use an old obsolete one called Messer because it is actually quite flexible and you can adjust its start and stop time, as well as manually record.

Thanks guys. I've popped Audacity and the mentioned s/w from St Landrew on his system so he can decide which he wants to use.
