Gemmel Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 That disallowed overhead kick was immense If i remember correctly, (Whilst it didn't make up for ruling out one of The Dells greatest ever goals) Armstrong made ammends and got a late winner in the same match to beat Utd ........3-2 (I think)
Channon's Sideburns Posted 18 June, 2009 Author Posted 18 June, 2009 As we're reminiscing.....good story from Ossie... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICFRextPF9I Can't concentrate on work for some reason today...
MarkSFC Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 I'm so trying not to get excited. Possibly one of the best childhood memories when he signed and as for "that goal" I was standing on the Milton. Glory days that may never return but the next few years COULd be as exciting for different reasons!!!!
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 In case anyone wants another look at the disallowed goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_0GhYfWwPE
fareham saint phil Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 All of those (and a few others around them) were fantastic to see and isn't nice to have the club we all love so fondly spoken about by some of the greats in football. Classic
Miltonaggro Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Although Keegan is seen by many 'pundits' as a quitter, the vast majority of the fans at the clubs he has managed are full of praise for his style and verve. His record in all leagues is very good, and enthusiasm is an infectious gift. If he happens to be unveiled at SMS at midday tomorrow with MLT as his Chairman and the excellent John Carver as assistant manager I for one will be very pleased indeed...

Milton you are toying with us. Snake Catcher or Rose and Crown for 9.00.....free beer if you spill your guts And if it gets really messy, Watersplash hotel after closing time...... ha ha just re read that ....doesn't read well
SW11_Saint Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 That disallowed overhead kick was immense Awesome. I remember tumbling down the Milton Rd. after it went in - such a shame it was disallowed, and only marginally off-side (if indeed it was). The other clip on YouTube of the "Greatest Goal ever" (v Liverpool - 15+ pass move) brought back such memories too. Dare we dream...?

Isn't Carver the one Shearer is trying to get back from Australia or somewhere for Newcastle?

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Thanks for posting my youtube videos for me. No problem! lol:rolleyes: Thanks for putting them on youtube!
St Landrew Posted 19 June, 2009 Posted 19 June, 2009 No problem! lol:rolleyes: Thanks for putting them on youtube! For some reason, I can't remember, I stopped putting Saints related videos up on Youtube ages ago [probably thoroughly depressed with SFC]. I still have loads of videos of the sort like Brett Ormerod's goal against Liverpool in 2004, and a little bit more of stuff of the like from ex-Saints players from earlier years. Must get around to uploading it all.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 19 June, 2009 Posted 19 June, 2009 that goal against liverpool was class,we scored some great goals then,id love it,id really love it if kk is appointed later today, come on you reds
Miltonaggro Posted 19 June, 2009 Posted 19 June, 2009 Gemmel, I will be on the 17.05 today so early evening sherbert in the Rose & Crown to discuss the installed owner, chairman, and manager of SFC would be pleasant! Nice day for a resurrection and coronation isn't it...
