scott_saints Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Just heard there is pictures of MLT with Keegan. Can anyone confirm?
Master Bates Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Yes there is, pics of Keegan, Le Tiss & Crouch. Back and front pages. Crouch been on Solent this morning saying he wouldn't rule out Keegan joining.
Master Bates Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Where are the pics taken from? Le Tissier's house.
Saint Billy Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Yes there is, pics of Keegan, Le Tiss & Crouch. Back and front pages. Crouch been on Solent this morning saying he wouldn't rule out Keegan joining. Do they look happy!
Pilchards Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 If you look close enough you will see ronaldo in the picture too! Who would of thought MLT would have a framed photo of him.
Master Bates Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Also, http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4444485.Pinnacle_deal_to_buy_Saints_moves_a_step_closer/?ref=rss

Gingeletiss Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 (edited) to quote the Echo.....'Pinnacle have moved a step closer to completing their takeover of Saints, after lodging the names of the prospective new board with the football league'............... Confirmed by Football league Edited 18 June, 2009 by Gingeletiss
scott_saints Posted 18 June, 2009 Author Posted 18 June, 2009 Not gonna believe it just yet. Good things don't happen to Saints.
chocco boxo Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Not gonna believe it just yet. Good things don't happen to Saints. Potters Heron 1980. this could be the start...............
Alain Perrin Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Yes there is, pics of Keegan, Le Tiss & Crouch. Back and front pages. Crouch been on Solent this morning saying he wouldn't rule out Keegan joining. Meant to say ...website. Good news if true, although Crouch didn't rule out Paul Allen taking us over Keegan would be a romantic option and maybe instill a bit of belief in the fans. COYR
doughnutman Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 The article about KK seems to suggest that Crouch may be part of the new board then...
miserableoldgit Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Le Tissier's house. Which one though?? Come on, do keep up!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 to quote the Echo.....'Pinnacle have moved a step closer to completing their takeover of Saints, after lodging the names of the prospective new board with the football league'............... Confirmed by Football league I know we shouldn't assume anything in life. However, doesn't this mean that they are happy with the deal, to lodge names is a serious declaration of intent surely?
Pilchards Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Meant to say ...website. Good news if true, although Crouch didn't rule out Paul Allen taking us over Keegan would be a romantic option and maybe instill a bit of belief in the fans. COYR I don't like these Crouch mind games. Please stop and get on with the facts Sir.
Master Bates Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 According to a mate listening to Radio Solent, "Tony Lynam has just texted radio solent to say that Kevin Keegan has not been formally approached". Anyone else hear?
doggface Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 (edited) Did anyone believe crouch's denial?! He is hardly gonna come out & say, "yes I'm involved" before things are officially announced. Edited 18 June, 2009 by doggface bad spelling!
thorpie the sinner Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 I don't think Pinnacle can do anything formally until they own the club can they?
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 According to a mate listening to Radio Solent, "Tony Lynam has just texted radio solent to say that Kevin Keegan has not been formally approached". Anyone else hear? Semantics, dear boy. How can anything happen 'formally' until the company exists?
JustMike Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Echo also says that contact has been made with at least one of the other consortiums to confirm their interest just in case the Pinnicle bid fails. Encouarging that the names have been submitted to football league and that they think that it could all be announced tomorrow if these last bits run smoothly. Press conference was penciled in for monday but even that could be moved to tomorrow. So, in a nut shell, we will know (if all goes through) by tomorrow who this guy is. Can it really be almost the end of the dark days? COYRS
saintjay77 Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Yes there is, pics of Keegan, Le Tiss & Crouch. Back and front pages. Crouch been on Solent this morning saying he wouldn't rule out Keegan joining. As posted elsewhere it sounds like Pinnacle have denied KK being involved so is this just Crouch shouting his mouth off again and if so for what reason? If Pinnacle have got this guy involved at the top level maybe they didnt think a clean sweep was needed? If he is going to carry on with the cryptic press snippets then maybe they should think again?
Katalinic Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 According to a mate listening to Radio Solent, "Tony Lynam has just texted radio solent to say that Kevin Keegan has not been formally approached". Anyone else hear? That doesn't mean he hasnt been informally approached. Presumably he can't be formally approached anyway until the new owner formally own the club.
Gingeletiss Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 I don't think Pinnacle can do anything formally until they own the club can they? Spin the coin.........they can't own the club, until the football league agree they are 'fit and proper persons'.........
Matthew Le God Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 The BBC have linked to the Echo site on the gossip column. That should give a massive number of hits for a local paper
waggy Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Not gonna believe it just yet. Good things don't happen to Saints. don't know how old you are or for how long you've supported saints, but trust me having supported sfc for nearly 50 years, we've had a golden era or two and we're due another. COYR's!
saintjay77 Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 LOL'age at us lot getting Info from the Echo too! Who'da thought it huh?
dubai_phil Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Did anyone believe crouch's denisl?! He iis hardly gonna come out & say, "yes I'm involved" before things are officially announced. The issue with that is the denial was the second Crouch denial that will eventually turn out to be not quite accurate... Like the not taking early payment from Arsenal for Theo one. Not a great start, I understand the reasons he couldn't technically confirm he would be involved but there are better ways of saying these things. I'm all for having him on board, successful, experienced, fan, but somebody should ensure he is only allowed to speak via the club's PR manager. One foot in mouth too many could cause problems - like the points deduction.
SFC Forever Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 don't know how old you are or for how long you've supported saints, but trust me having supported sfc for nearly 50 years, we've had a golden era or two and we're due another. COYR's! I'll go along with that. Div 3 sth and onwards. I have seen us go up to the then Div 2 back down to 3 and up again. Twice promoted to the top tier and then along comes him whose name we do not mention. We are not a big club when looking at support level but grew used to being in the top tier. We have always sold players to stay afloat and unless our new owner is stupidly rich always will. For us to compete with the big boys we need a larger stadium and crowd capacity that is taken up by the missing support. To start with a few full houses would help us no end.
bridge too far Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 BBC South regional news slot reporting that the club, in response to rumours, has denied any involvement with KK
exit2 Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 The article about KK seems to suggest that Crouch may be part of the new board then... I understand that LC is part of the board as submitted to the FL yesterday.
