SET Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Friend of a friend runs a business that supplied Saints, they've received notice on their contract that the club will no longer require their products. I'm hoping that means the new owners has his/her own suppliers he/she likes to use, rather than the club is binning suppliers as a club that don't exist don't need suppliers.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 what did your friend supply? might be a link to our new owner here?

Well as the report is that the banks were changed today that would make sense and indicate Pinnacle are putting everything they can in place.
harvey Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Please say that your friends business supplies the beer for St Marys :prayer:
SET Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 not entirely sure i think it was kitchen stuff, table wear, glasses that sort of thing. as he said hospitality goods
Redondo Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 When a company changes ownership all contracts are reviewed and notices sent to suppliers and customers where there is a legal agreement. Pretty standard stuff.
saintwarwick Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 When a company changes ownership all contracts are reviewed and notices sent to suppliers and customers where there is a legal agreement. Pretty standard stuff. Or just a change of supplier because a cheaper alternative has been found.

A company can't cancel a contract purely based on price without giving sufficient notice as stated in the contract terms and condtions. Maybe this is what they have done.

Rogerfryisalegend Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I thought the hospitality food, drink etc was sub contracted out, maybe they have been axed by the new owners, thus that company no longer needs those supplies. might tie in with this http://www.saintsem.co.uk/ Just a guess.

What is/was the name of the company that Saints Event Management are/were part of? Can't remember to save my life....I know they were separate to SLH....but also know they are/were part of a bigger 'umbrella' company....which makes it a little odd that their website is offline at the same time that SLH/SFC is about to be 're-launched'....

You thinking about FMC?
trousers Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 You thinking about FMC? Cheers - that's the one....they seem to have removed St Mary's from their list of corporate hospitality venues....

Barry the Badger Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Good to see they've misspelt Southampton on the link to the OS. And it doesn't actually link to anywhere

I think what you say is valid as you are able to spell and use punctuation. Post more often.

Also, bit disconcerted that your home page, as quoted in your public profile, is FC United. Which is your first team? (btw, I live near Gigg Lane whoopdewhoo)

rooney Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 If the Pinnicle client is buying the assets from Southampton Leisure Holdings Ltd of course they will form a new company, and SLH Ltd will subsequently be liquidated as it will have no trading income and net liabilities.

(btw, I live near Gigg Lane whoopdewhoo) I've never made it a secret on here, that i was brought up with a 50/50 split from my parents. My Mancunian mum is a united fan, my Hampshire dad is a saints fan. I'm split across the 3, but living in hampshire again now, saints are the club i get to follow.

Ironically, I have exactly the same heritage, parental-football-wise. My mum would rather have Rooney as a son than me! Fortunately, I managed to avoid being ManYoo, though flirted with Leeds at one point.
