Maybe he's gonna find out then pop back later, hopefully with good news.

Cue the drum intro........

Something in the air tonight, oh Lord. Shall we have chat about ticket pricing? What do Eastleigh charge for a s/t?

Let's hope so. I hope that anyone else interested have kept their people on the job, but giving exclusivity does make the others think that they need not waste any more money.

Maybe he has nothing to say?
Well i would have thought he could easily tell us 'that is a nonsense rumour'. i fully expect him to come back and say that if not??

Really, didn't realise that with the deadline on Friday.

You really have made being a sanctimonious prat into an art form. A visit to your psychiatrist must be due.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The fact there is still 48 hours to the deadline means nothing if everything is complete and there is nothing left to do but sign the contracts and pay up to close the deal.

Somebody said the other day that we could expect the bidder to walk at some time close to the deadline if an attempt is made to reduce the price and move the goalposts as time is running out.

LOLZ! I reckon one person says "For fun I'm going to say this so it goes on the saints forum, watch them all poo themselves. It'll be funny!"

Believe nothing until it's there in official writing.

Also if something is happening behind the scenes then I reckon it could be a last minute attempt to get the price down by the new possible owners.

Why?

Anyone can make up a rumour!

With 2 days to go, I imagine all involved have got a lot to do and really don't have time to quash every pointless, senseless rumour!

No disrespect to MB, but he's not even prepared to name his source, which generally means the rumour is a load of old bollix anyway!

I agree Nick, always felt the old adage of 'make you words as effective as your silence would have been' is very true. Maybe he logged in on the off chnace and couldn't believe what he read and is now ploughing through his contacts to see what he can harvest from the rumour. Do we know who the farmer is btw? Not based in Gloucestershire is he?

It's alright, I've had a PM from the Farmer, and he says there is no need to worry about this silly rumour.

He said he would have replied to it, but he was too busy checking for any updates in the Camel Toe fred in TMS.

Interesting comment, care to expand Derry?

Or maybe he didn't read the thread?

Were we not advised that it was highly unlikely that Pinnacle would need the full 21 days to complete the takeover? The fact that it now appears to be a race against time indicates that something may have cropped up to put a spanner in the works so perhaps there could be some truth in this. However it has also been said that other people had contacted Pinnacle regarding teaming up on the takeover so hopefully all will not be lost if the backer has pulled out.

Guess i picked the wrong week to give up spliffs!

If it is true.. can't say we didn't see it coming,

Well quite, after all people were posting "just wait, they'll pull out to get the price dropped in the final week before the bid eventually goes through" about 2-3 weeks ago.

Long and short of it is we won't know until Friday, and we may not know even then. And THEN is the time to panic.

Again, with the fixtures already out, and the non-League ones to follow very soon, there is precisely zero chance of us playing in the Conference this season. It will be League One or a year in the wilderness, maybe starting from non-League the season after.

Damn....that's exactly what the Farmer would say if there was a problem, just to cover up the fact....damn.

I'm not sure there is ever a good week for that ;)

The Farmer is sound, I think you can withdraw from criticism of him NC. i just believe if he was online and it is not something for people to worry about he'd come on and say so. Afterall he has done so in the past. WSS thinks he doesnt need to, that is fine but a post just to say it is not true would have been sufficient

That may be the case WSS, but if he has and hasn't quelled the rumour? That is what causes concern.

Tell us who he is please Dave

His sanctimonious pedantic reply got up my nose for once.

Why is it when you log on hoping for some good news somebody has to ruin your day.

This ****ing club will be the death of me, all we want is some hope or more importantly facts.

+1.

I just want the deal to be f*cking done so we can all stop worrying about it. Despite the excitement of the fixture release & planning away days next season its always remained at the back of my mind it may all go tits up. Please give us some good news by Friday Pinnacle.

Source? Or have you been Googling again or talking to someone's neighbour as seems a popular past time in being ITK.

I think you should take a look at yourself. You obviously have a problem. Your belligerent attitude with people you don't even know is ludicrous.

You don't even seem able to discuss anything wthout having an attitude problem.

Posted
Well we are now all logged in for the long haul. Do we have to stay here at the desk until the deal is done one way or another.

No i'm going to go home. Whether i'm sat here or not will not make the slightest difference.

Apparently as of 11am today the backer pulled, out, so can either Weston Saint, The Farmer or Fitz please say things are moving along fine, finalised and may even make an announcement today.tomorrow/friday.

Cheers

Lets take a step back and throw some logic at this for a moment, the saints web site having just recieved the fixtures have put out an article from Wotte referance our first game(Millwall). They have also announced their pre-season friendlies, now if everything has gone belly up, why bother doing it at all, better to say nothing than write these articles. So for me it ain't over till the fat lady sings, if that had been the case then you could also bet on some kind of announcement from Fry; and or a press conference, so I am not going to hang myself just yet.

John, I was told in confidence, but it sufficient to say he has had problems in the past, but I won't add to them.

His sanctimonious pedantic reply got up my nose for once.

Derry,

That is disappointing on two counts. Firstly, that the person who told you has severely damaged his integrity and significant trust I had in him given the nature of our correspondence. That perhaps is the most disappointing thing of all and clearly I have been naive in that matter.

Secondly, that having been told in confidence (you and who else is now open to debate) you choose to post a few snippets on here.

Remember I am a Saints fan who just holds an alternative view. I don't think you can add to my problems because they are worse than the last time I spoke to our mutual contact. However, I doubt I am not the only person to be going through some very tough and personally tragic times thats makes you want at times to question your own existence and being a loyal S/T holding fan hasn't helped me or the prejudice I face from the likes of yourself.

I don't want sympathy and no doubt will get shed loads of abuse but sometimes like this club for me the only way is up and on that I am in the know.

Good luck in your prejudices and ability to comment on criticism without betrayal.

Off to pub with a TSW tourist. Taxi's here so

Wish I could say this is a surprise, but these rumours have kept going around and around for some time and anyone who tried to comment ended up getting a virtual Burn the Witch. So no comment and i am sure it will all get sorted out in time for Friday
