kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My optimistic bet - Sept 5th after beating Colchester at home.
kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 You never know, we may win the appeal!Even if we do, we might still have zero points on Sept 5th
thorpie the sinner Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Even if we do, we might still have zero points on Sept 5th lol!!! :smt080
Hopkins Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I have a bet with my brentford supporting housemate that we will be ahead of them after 6 games.
Scudamore Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My optimistic bet - Sept 5th after beating Colchester at home. A home win...now there's a thought...
kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 I have a bet with my brentford supporting housemate that we will be ahead of them after 6 games. You'd better start saving then.
Panda Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My optimistic bet - Sept 5th after beating Colchester at home. When we have won three and drawn 1? Or won 2 and drawn 4? You get the idea!
Chin Strain Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 When we have won three and drawn 1? Or won 2 and drawn 4? You get the idea! Recent form would suggest drawn 10....
eharty9 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 not bein funny but how can u go on form which will be 3 months old in august?
a1ex2001 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 not bein funny but how can u go on form which will be 3 months old in august? because it's been consistent pretty much since we were relegated, we have been the king of draws for several seasons.
kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 When we have won three and drawn 1? Or won 2 and drawn 4? You get the idea!I can do the maths - I want a date you think it will happen.
The Incongruous Monk Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Not before late September, quite possibly October.
OldNick Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 feb , if we dont come out with a CVA! Sorry I just had to
kelkel31 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 i know we dont know what players or staff we will have, if there will be another relegation hangover but if we are not at least on zero points by the end of sat 29th august i will not be a happy saints fan! que the laughs and derision pls
CWD Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Yep i agree, by my mathematical calculations I can categorically certify that we will be on one point after beating Colchester 2-0 at St. Mary's. What a day! I can't wait! I really cant believe we have sunk to this :smt043
obelisk Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I see we're bottom already. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm If we start with a home win we'll reach zero quickly imho. Another opening day defeat and it'll be mid September I reckon. Btw, have we given up on any more appeals against this 10 point penalty?
St_Tel49 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 because it's been consistent pretty much since we were relegated, we have been the king of draws for several seasons. Are you suggesting that we should drop our draws? ;-)
Saint Fan CaM Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My guess would be at 4.50pm on the day that we started on -3 and that we end by beating the opposing team. Sounds reasonable to me.
krissyboy31 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My guess would be at 4.50pm on the day that we started on -3 and that we end by beating the opposing team. Sounds reasonable to me. Ah! but we might be -2 or -1 and win and therefore go straight into positive figures, therefore never reach zero points.
kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 Ah! but we might be -2 or -1 and win and therefore go straight into positive figures, therefore never reach zero points.Good point - will we ever see a league table this season where Saints actually have zero points??
70's Mike Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Saturday 22nd Aug after beating Brentford exactly lets aim high and not settle for 5 year plans etc, aim to win every game
Scudamore Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I can do the maths - I want a date...you think it will happen? Sure...keep plugging away...there's plenty more fish in the sea, etc.
egreog Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Around mid November with a fair wind!.....notoriously slow starters......why should it be any different in this league?..........much depends on who is manager?.....what players are left......?........impossible to predict but could be earlier if a fresh wave of optimism rolls through the club........otherwise it could be a long hard slog
kpturner Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 Sure...keep plugging away...there's plenty more fish in the sea, etc.Took me a while to work that out but LOL when I did
Lets B Avenue Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My guess would be at 4.50pm on the day that we started on -3 and that we end by beating the opposing team. Sounds reasonable to me. What if its an evening game?
a1ex2001 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Are you suggesting that we should drop our draws? ;-) I think we did enough of that last season and the one before.
SFC Forever Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 4 straight wins will have us in the points before september. Then we can dream about making a bid for the playoffs.
teamsaint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Are you suggesting that we should drop our draws? ;-) Well it made me laugh. Very funny.
VectisSaint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Good point - will we ever see a league table this season where Saints actually have zero points?? I was going to say look on the BBC. When did that get updated? Last time I looked we had 0 and were in 17th place
brightspark Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 If we don't do it after the 5th match, I will be dissappointed. We desperately need a fast start. As far as i'm concered, if we lose to Millwall, that would be -13, and the form would drop, and the season could be a disastrous struggle. I'd say the first game of the season has never been so important, and hopefully this will be drilled into the players minds.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 I notice that we are now on -10 points and bottom of the league on BBC. I also saw are'nt Stoockport shown has being on -10, but they also went into admin din'nt they?
Legod Third Coming Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 We will never be on zero points. After four games we will be on 2 points. Simples.
