Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It's my wife's birthday that day. I took her to visit Hartlepool once before (to see where my father was born) and she wasn't that impressed. Another trip there on a Tuesday night in November won't get me many brownie points.
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It's my wife's birthday that day. I took her to visit Hartlepool once before (to see where my father was born) and she wasn't that impressed. Another trip there on a Tuesday night in November won't get me many brownie points. She needs to learn the meaning of true romance. Nothing says romance to me , more than a trip to Hartlepool.
AphlRed Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Me and the missus will be at the Hartlepool game, pity we're away on holiday for the Carlisle away game! Bring it on!!!!
Dan Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Was hoping Carlisle on a Tuesday night but Hartlepool will have to do.

The9 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Bloody right I will be. Flight ? You WUSS. I've been to Hartlepool on a midweek night before, anyway.
itchen Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I was going to get a lift with Claus but I guess that's off now.
lee_saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Got quite a few Carlisle supporting mates, they've been getting all big headed about playing us....so we best shove a few goals past them.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I'm just off to Hartlepool to buy some exploding trousers! (Kudos to anyone that gets that reference )
Torres Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Train back to London includes an overnighter at York station
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 definately maybe!!! .... how about a saints web minibus to a few of the aways this year????
saints_is_the_south Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Deffo! Day before me birthday too so will have the weds off, can't wait! Carlisle on the train is also a must, couple of crates for the journey, job done!
saintrich Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Carlisle on the train is also a must Can't imagine that being cheap :-|
saints_is_the_south Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Can't imagine that being cheap :-| Had a look yesterday, £41 return each for 3 using rail cards. What we spend on the rail fare we'll make up in saving on buying sh!t loads of cans for the journey at supermarket prices instead of pints in a pub. Cant wait
lee_saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 There's a Travellodge over the road from Carlisle's ground, might have to book a room.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I'm just off to Hartlepool to buy some exploding trousers! (Kudos to anyone that gets that reference ) Black Adder?

JRM Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 not sure about the nightlife in Hartlepool on a Tuesday...... looks like it might be worth trying to get back to Durham or Newcastle after the match to make a proper trip of it. i expect us to sell out for this one, and have a few in the home end
Andy_Porter Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It's tempting, only 2 days after my birthday I'll prob be there.
Dan Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It's tempting, only 2 days after my birthday I'll prob be there. 4 days after mine.

Papa Shango Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 There's a Travellodge over the road from Carlisle's ground, might have to book a room. Probably be better to book it for the Carlisle game
Michelle Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I'm in. Flights from So'ton to Newcastle, returning on Wed morning. Means I've got to take the whole day off Tue, but never mind - I'm entitled to it anyway!
Michelle Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It sounds a sh1te away day. No thanks. The ones that sound sh|te are generally the best. Your loss.
Ash Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It is Mrs Ash's birthday that day, what things are there near Hartlepool which I can combine with the trip to make it more tempting for her? She is dangerously close of putting the brakes on my season of away days
Griffo Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It is Mrs Ash's birthday that day, what things are there near Hartlepool which I can combine with the trip to make it more tempting for her? She is dangerously close of putting the brakes on my season of away days Hit her.
Mole Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 The ones that sound sh|te are generally the best. Your loss. Nah, It sounds on a par with Doncaster away and that was without doubt one of the most boring away trips ever.
ladysaint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It is Mrs Ash's birthday that day, what things are there near Hartlepool which I can combine with the trip to make it more tempting for her? She is dangerously close of putting the brakes on my season of away days Fly up to Newcastle and take her shoe shopping leaving the evening for you to go to Hartlepool.
Draino76 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 She needs to learn the meaning of true romance. Nothing says romance to me , more than a trip to Hartlepool. I shall try that line, and for that reason; I'm in.
Winnersaint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 T'would be funny if everyone went dressed as monkeys!
