krissyboy31 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Finish at home to Southend. 4-0 win to qualify for the play-offs?

SW11_Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Millwall at home first up: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/fixtures/ Welcome to League One... Always nice to start with a nice quiet one! Should guarantee be a big gate though.
lee_saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Carlisle away in September, least it won't be snowing just yet then
Red And White Barmy Army Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 jesus we're playing some crap teams this year. exeter @ home on boxing day & swindon away early on stands out 4 me
Give it to Ron Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Southend away on a Saturday in October....good weekender there!
stevegrant Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Carlisle away in September, least it won't be snowing just yet then It may well be in Hartlepool in November on a Tuesday night though...
Dicko Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Finish at home to Southend. 4-0 win to qualify for the play-offs? Avoiding relegation this time though
lee_saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It may well be in Hartlepool in November on a Tuesday night though... I knew it would be Carlisle or Hartlepool on a Tuesday night!
scott_saints Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Is it too early for a pre match buld up thread for Millwall?
Pancake Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 Is it too early for a pre match buld up thread for Millwall? Always to early for a 'buld' up thread Scott.
scott_saints Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Always to early for a 'buld' up thread Scott. True. Perhaps a build up thread then? Never too early for one of those is it?
South City Si Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Bugger. Not a lot that I wanted. Bristol away on weekday, Oldham in October, Norwich in Feb. Booo, fixture, boo!
SNOWY Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 At home on first game, last game & boxing day. No international weekends off. Can't be bad.
krissyboy31 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 The whole fixture list is really depressing. Would have been a darn sight more depressing in the Conference.
Kaiser Soze Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Shame about Swindon being midweek. Looking forward to Stockport and Huddersfield away early on. Can't wait for the season to start now.
Torres Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 There's not an away game before Xmas that I don't fancy...
saintjay77 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 My Birthday game is on for this year. Always had Plymouth away around my birthday and this year ill get to see Exeter instead. whoo hoo
AwaySaint1 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Not good for season ticket sales. I can just see mr+mrs semi detached in Titchfield thinking of buying 2 adult and 2 kids season tickets but then looking at the fixture list with the first home game against Millwall and also Leeds at home in the same season. Looks more like it's going to be 10 games of Megabowl and a couple of trips to the Odean instead.
The9 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 It may well be in Hartlepool in November on a Tuesday night though... THAT'S the kicker !

That does have nothing to do with the order in which games are played though... and they'll be bringing far fewer than when we played them in higher divisions anyway.
thorpie the sinner Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 seeing our name on the fixture list almost makes you think we will have a club lol!!
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I reckon the Yeovil home game will see us get to positive points.
Badger Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I was looking forward to the new era with some optimism, and had prepared to take the youngsters to the first home game, but Millwall ? Perhaps rethink is required.
Pancake Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 Is it just me or is every game winnable? Not just you; I think that is the basis for football to be honest.
saintjay77 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Is it just me or is every game winnable? With the team from the last 2 seasons then maybe not. but wityh the saints team we all think we should have? we should walk this league lol
Cabrone Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I think we should be thankful that SFC even has a fixture list to comment on.
robbsaints Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 As others have said, reading through the fixture list is quite depressing especially as we have been given a fixture on FA Cup 3rd Round day on 2nd January
paris Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Deaf and Dumb Tony will be pleased with the first match at home..

They were very good. Not at all surprised they got promoted. You will find they are no pushover.
